Chris Kluwe, a pro-gay rights activist and NFL punter for the Minnesota Vikings, has been let go by his former team. Mike Priefer, the Viking’s special teams coach had used homophobic language in Kluwe’s presence. Kluwe believes that Priefer and others within the organization opposed to his pro-gay views were respobsible for the decision to let him go. The panel discusses the debacle and what could have been done to avoid such a snafu. Despite social advancement in other sectors of society with regard to gay-rights, the sports-world apparently has a long way to go to catch up.
