Washington D.C. is now home to the fastest growing population of 1 percenters. The influx of money that made Washington rich in the last decade has created a new wave of wealthy insiders.

The people coming out on top in the new Washington are not just the former senators and four-star generals, now they are also the former bureaucrats, accountants and staff officers.

Last year, the incomes of the top 1% rose 19.6% compared with a 1% increase for the remaining 99%. How long can this continue until the people demand a change?
