As young Christians are increasingly abandoning their parents’ faith, many churches today have tried to become more “hip” in an effort to keep these teen and twentysomething Christians in the fold. But is it working? Can churches remain relevant by adapting to changing times, or does the trend toward “hipster Christianity” merely reflect an effort to dress up the same old anti-women, anti-gay values in a cooler, more modern trappings?
