The prostitution problem in San Fernando Valley, where Ana hails from, has existed since the 1920s. It’s getting much worse. Neighborhood watch type groups are aiding the police in their efforts to mitigate the problem. Is this an effective approach? Legalization and regulation would be much more realistic and effective in terms of minimizing the unintended societal ills of the sex work industry.
