yes, yes, yes and YES
at least start vegertarian and go vegan…organic next…anything is better than nothing….
I too am sick of the cheap talk on this supposedly “liberal” show….NO ONE appears to be a vegetarian even…Whenever they talk about food especially, I really get fed up…and i’ve been a member for years…no one’s going to read this anyway, but i had to agree with most of the others here….and i’m not saying anyone’s perfect, but we’re trying….
Genetically modified food is okay when it is the very basic genetic modification only of producing a bigger yield.
Realistically what has to be done is there needs to be further tests on all of the vast new and much more modified food, it’s the only way for us to know what is the safe middle ground for human consumption. There also along with further research needs to be regulations from an unbiased non-‘in-it-for-the-money’, expert institution that will be able to prevent harm to consumers.
I agree that animals such as chickens shouldn’t be kept in tiny cages but a lot of you seem to think that vegan is the only possible and logical solution and critisize TYT for not reaching that same opinion. The reality is that for our whole evolutionary development we were not able to choose that option until VERY recently; we are naturally built to eat both meat and plants, hence, we are omnivores.
If you wish to be a herbivore then you can in a perfectly healthy way thanks to dietry understanding of what the human body needs and what can be a non-animal based substitute for the nutrients we optimally require from meat.
So go be vegetarian and vegan but it’s not the “only logical conclusion”
Without properly regulated dietry science we wouldn’t even have the option of soya or quorn substitutes and all of the vast knowledge we as the human race about our own nutriental requirements.
Sorry, but I have little sympathy for people who value their temporary pleasure over the health of the planet. Eating low on the food chain (vegan preferred) is easy, healthy, tasty and responsible. Making the world better starts with all of our basic personal actions. Talk is cheap.
It seems like if you really cared you’d do something about it. You say you don’ t have a choice, but isn’t that part of the spirit of TYT, to find the truth and act?
I’m vegan because of the information I learned about the animal industry. I know it’s wrong, I can’t un-learn that info. At times I wish I could in a way, it’s not easy living this way, especially overseas. But I acted by cutting all animal products out of my life. It’s not easy, but it actually does more good than voting for Obama in Alabama would. You vote 3 times a day with the meals you choose, over a thousand times a year.
If you learn the truth and don’t see anything wrong with it, be honest with us, don’t try and feel good that you’re gotten pissed and done your part. What you guys are actually saying here is “I know the truth, I think it’s wrong, but fuck it I’m hungry”. That, in my opinion, is FAR worse than people that live in ignorance to the reality of the animal industry.
Agree with you 100% For years they’ve done these food stories, but it is as if they refuse to come to logical conclusion that consuming animal products is cruel and environmentally unsustainable.
Vegan. If I can go vegan, anyone can. It’s easy, cheap, healthy, and peaceful. There’s still plenty of contamination to go around, but veganism is a good place to start.
We don’t have to worry about food because Cenk says overpopulation isn’t a problem. Overfishing, what name so? Technology will take care of everything so lets just shit out kids without worrying about the consequences.
Just because organic farmers use “natural” pesticide doesn’t always mean that it is any better for you. Arsenic can occur naturally but I don’t mix it in my chicken soup.

where are 09’s hours, uploaders? I luv ya but I can’t always stream with ya.
Is there are reason the show from 10-9 has edited clips being posted to youtube, yet the show still hasn’t been posted to the member’s section?

Im sorry… did you just say we cant eat lobster… because its alive and feels pain and stress?
WHAT THE FLYING FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? You do realize meat comes from living animals?
I believe the issue is that the lobster is boiled while STILL ALIVE. Carnivores don’t cook any other animal in that way.
