If Cenk were President Obama, here’s how he would attack Mitt Romney’s newly announced running mate, Paul Ryan: Point out again and again that he voted for bills authorizing massive spending — including for TARP, the economic stimulus, bailouts for GM and Chrysler and $1.26 trillion for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy and so much more. “Paul Ryan created the deficit,” Cenk says. “That’s not propaganda. That’s not a talking point. That’s reality.”

If you watch mainstream news, it’d be easy to get the idea that Paul Ryan’s biggest asset to the Romney campaign is his good looks, rock-hard abs and other studly traits that supposedly appeal to women. “Way to insult 51 percent of the population by thinking they’re idiots,” Cenk says. “He has an enormous record on voting no, no, no on all the women’s issues.” (For a good time, check out @PaulRyanGosling.)

Cenk talks to journalist David Seaman about TrapWire, a software system used to compare “suspicious” patterns of behavior captured by surveillance cameras and assess the potential threat for violence. Seaman says, “The possibility for abuse — either now or at some point the future under a President Romney or President “Whoever” — is absolutely massive.”
