Right-wing can’t resist eating their own over Romneycare defense
After a Romney campaign spokesperson seemingly defended his groundbreaking health care plan while governor of Massachusetts, right-wing talkers from Rush Limbaugh to Ann Coulter began eating their own. “Why are they doing this?” Cenk asks. “It’s because Romney’s health care plan is identical to Obama’s health care plan, and they’re like ‘shush, don’t remind anybody about that!'”
Fmr. Rep. Grayson on GOP health care policy: ‘Only thing Romney cares about is money’
Cenk talks to former Rep. Alan Grayson (and current candidate in Florida) about the real cost of businesses cutting back — or cutting loose — employees’ health care plans at precisely the moment that saves insurance companies from covering expensive treatments. Cenk asks, “How is this Republican party even in contention? How do they get people to say, ‘I want a lifetime cap’?” Grayson says, “The only thing that Mitt Romney cares about, the only thing that the Koch brothers care about, the only thing that the insurance companies care about is money. They take as much as they can from the rest of us, they give back as little as possible in care — and they call the difference profit.”
NYPD’s new electronic surveillance system is coming for you
Cenk, Ana Kasparian, Jayar Jackson and Michael Shure talk about New York City’s new electronic surveillance program. “In real time, they look through the databases to see if they can find you on any criminal database,” Cenk says. “They’re coming for you.” Jayar says, “They’re looking for us doing something? There’s definitely something they’re doing.”
