Ana replaces John for SCS. A Seattle police officer has been cleared of all charges after he punched a female suspect in the eye while arresting her. Videos of the confrontation and immediate aftermath. More NFL and NBA players are joining protests in solidarity with Black people murdered by police. Reggie Bush and Derrick Rose joined the protests with #ICantBreathe t-shirts during the pregame. Uncharacteristically, the NFL hasn’t taken any negative action on the players.  A piece in Salon outlined potential solutions to curbing police violence upon citizens. One idea is a Little Brother project that has nearly every citizen watching and taping the cops while uploading the footage immediately to the corresponding app. Wes mentions how this info could tell criminals where law enforcement is, letting them know when and how to strike.

An Uber driver in India went on a string rapes, and the company had no background information on him for authorities to track him down or know who he is. Continuing story of Rolling Stone’s shaky article about an alleged rape victim at the Univ of Virginia. Since so many people are mad at the woman that possibly falsified the story, a Conservative blogger named Charles Johnson posted her name and whereabouts online so that her enemies can find her. Johnson has a history of putting up false stories about Michael Brown and others in the name of retribution. Mexican authorities have discovered a body of one of the missing students that were probably abducted by the drug cartels.

  1. ray rice’s wife was difficult before he punched her in the face. so why doesn’t he get a break like the cop did?

  2. *Edit i fucked up i’m drunk this is the revised correct version of what i said* I disagree Ben i am not just concerned with the cops shooting people, i cant count how many videos i have seen of cops killing homeless/mentally ill people while restraining them for often trivial reasons…

  4. Oh TYT I am dissapoint. The first time you get to do a story on the Furry Fandom that isn’t a joke and it’s cut. When you teased this story on this I got my hopes up. Honestly I can’t understand why this seems to be a big joke to everyone. Chlorine gas was used by the Germans during World War 1, and by Al Qaeda as recently as 2006-2007(in car bombs) but because it happened to the Furrys it’s somehow less of a terrorist attack. As someone who had 3 of my best friends who’s hotel rooms where outside the stairwell where the Chlorine Powder was found and to have the media Laugh at it(as Mika Brzezinski did on Morning Joe) and the place I’ve found to be a good place for news to be completely ignore a story like this is not only disheartening but distressing. I guess it’s one big joke to you, but not to my friends who lived through it, and me who was worried sick about them all weekend.
