I agree with Bob Noxious, there are different ways to rape a girl and I can see what the Judge is getting at. In British, Canadian and Australian law, it is a mandatory 5 year sentence for rape. If he stalked a girl dragged her into an alley beat and raped her the Judge would sentence him to five years. What the judge was saying, he understood that this man was not a violent rapist and a danger to the community. He did what a thousands of guys have done, had sex with a drunk girl, and that drunk girl and her friend understood what situation they were in. These stupid girls came to a party drunk, ended up in a bedroom with no persuasion and then cry rape. There is a thin line than can be crossed without the male thinking about it. Yes it is rape, but… Furthermore, you are not funny, however the guy portraying the english accent was a little more entertaining, not that a reporter should be joking about rape. Nevertheless, it is done, learn from the criticism and move on…

Sounds as if you’re sympathetic to the rapist, if you’d rather snivel about the quality of reporting than react to the judge’s horrifically sympathetic sentencing stance. Next time, just state your allegiance to the rapist, or the murderer or pedophile or whatever, and own your position.
Ok child. By sniveling, do you actually mean criticizing the manner in which you delivered the report? Because it sounds to me that you think rape is a joke and would appear to be more interested in laughing about it and mocking an English accent then actually providing the viewer insight regarding the case. What I was reacting to was your pathetic attempt at humor and I was sympathizing with anyone who had to listen to your drivel.
And frankly, I’m not in any way condoning rape, however there is a big difference between dragging a person off the street and into a dark spot and forcing yourself upon them compared to a drunk person showing up at your house possibly consenting to sex and then forgetting about it. This is why there are varying degrees of certain crimes. There, I’ve owned my position, and you.
