Trump will fire himself out of office on a Friday in September of this year. Not only will he not complete his first term, he will not complete his fist year (but I don’t actually believe that, it is just a guess for the sake of it)
I wish you can put some of the TYT Politics videos on the website, let’s say the ones that are most popular or are important in breaking news. I watch from work, and they have cut our youtube access here, do not want us distracted..haha
Re: skinny bundle: I agree with both Steve and Dave. Steve is right lots of us pay to support the show but as you grow and offer more content, you can revise your membership fees and offerings, let’s say pay less to have access to a set number of shows .
Netflix actually does have different price levels if you still get DVDs. A skinny bundle would make some customers happy but it’s not necessary, either. I wouldn’t be a member otherwise. But hey, maybe I’m wrong. Maybe you would have even more members if you offered skinny bundles.
You can’t have it both ways if you are a big-game hunter. Either you are a big tough guy for shooting game or you get sympathy if an elephant tramples you. You cannot have both, sorry.
Why not just free t-shirts for whoever guesses when Trump leaves office. Actually, free hoodies because that is a hard guess.
You should do a poll of TYT members on bringing back Murder With Friends. I’m not the biggest fan of Grace’s political commentary, but she’s genuinely one of the best storytellers i’ve ever heard, and the show was absolutely incredible! I’d be happy to pay a dollar or two in a skinny package specifically to get that show back
Suggestions with all that extra dollar – branching our to your UK/European watchers?!
There are some great political talkers AND comedians actually who would greatly expand your viewership from across the pond. A few names:
Owen Jones – Guadian columnist, author, commentator and political activist
Frankie Boyle – Scottish comedian and writer, funny as hell and a true progressive. If he and
Jimmy DOre were to ever talk my heart would stop.
Russel Brand!
The bit about Mark White was particularly interesting since Texas practically controls the high school textbook market. They buy so many that big publishers cater to their curriculum. That’s one reason why the information, for instance, on evolution through natural selection is so toned down, even at a high school level. Therefore, where once Texas had a governor who believed in actual critical thinking and a solid education, we now have a state which is barely scientifically literate.
Big-game trophy hunters hardly help conservation efforts – that’s their misleading spin on things. Great to see the three of you together on this Friday post game! Thoroughly enjoyed it, as usual.
At the risk of repeating myself, the only shows I watch on TYT: Aggressive Progressives and Friday post game. In lieu of a “skinny” subscription, how about more progressive shows?! Nomi and Shaun for instance?! Food for thought, Guys!
Put me down for Feb 3, 2018 for 45’s last day in office. God help us all.
I’ve been a member for 10 years, I used to watch everything but I have less time now so I watch much less of the main shows. I still watch every Post Game and Old School because the reason I pay for membership is that I like you guys and the personal stories have always been the most fun.
Also I’m from Northern Ireland so it was sweet hearing you guys talk about it on this Friday post game, and yes I visited last election day and got to meet Steve and Dave etc in person!
Malcolm brought up the idea of paying a smaller amount for just Aggressive Progressive (and Friday post game)
Sadly, AG is the show I specifically avoid because its not fact based. I used to be a big fan of Jimmy Dore, but he lost his mind about a year ago.
The first inkling that he was going that way was when he talked about how he couldn’t vote for Hillary because the idea made him feel horrible inside. He repeated this frequently as if anyone should give a shit about how Jimmy feels about Hillary. Progressives aren’t about feelings. We’re about facts.
I hate Hillary because of specific policies that she supports and he general inauthenticity. I’ve never used my hate for her as an argument in an of itself.

And that’s why AP is so awesome. (In my world)
Great show guys! I love it when it’s Malcolm, Steve, and Dave. I love the goofy segments with the graphics that may or may not work or when Irma puts them up when Malcolm not ready, etc. It’s laid back and doesn’t take itself seriously…which is what we all need on a Friday night. But oddly enough, I learn stuff I didn’t know. :-)
I read all the comments and agreed with 90% or so of them. There’s a LOT of love for you three and for the network. We’re in this together.
Although they tape this earlier, it almost feels like a poor man’s version of a Post Game, for whatever members of the team are left over with nothing else to do, on a Friday night.
Yes, I know they tape this on a Thursday, and it’s all in the imagination. It just has that feel, to me.
I don’t mean this to insult the team, here.
Maybe it’s just Ana, that’s missing. She does tend to liven things up.
I agree with Steve that it kind of diminishes the idea of membership to have a skinny package. I also think it might be bad business, because now that I’m a member I can explore other shows and see what I like. If I had a skinny package, that would close off some options to me and I would miss content I might enjoy.
Personally I almost always skip the friday post-game, but I’ll give it a shot every now and then. Just not my style generally. I mostly have membership because the podcasts are so convenient and the everyday postgames. And of course because I like supporting TYT.
Whilst my wife & I would not sign up for a “skinny bundle”, it is safe to say that, although we use membership to catch up (being in the UK, it’s hard to watch live), if we’re busy, the two shows we never miss, and watch as soon as they’re up are: Friday Post Game and Aggressive Progressives.
Many thanks to the three amigos, jimmy, irma et al for all your great work!
Missing Michael A Wood Jr… if anyone sees him in the woods, please let the guys know.
Steve is right.. I pay my $10/mo (most of the time) not only to watch the 2 hour show on my own schedule. and post game and aggressive progressives. ..
The thing is this: you aren’t reading people’s comments quite right.. instead of making a cheaper package deal with just those shows, you guys should be doing this:
MAKE MORE SHOWS LIKE THEM!!
There should be as many shows like AP, the 2 hour show, and Friday Post Game as you possibly can produce realistically. There are soo many stories that dont get covered every day — why not make more shows to cover them?!?! its not rocket science….
I second mike510a’s comment about making more shows like AP, etc. You’ve got all those shiny new reporters. Maybe Nomi could do a show from NYC or Ryan from DC. Jordan would be great, but the dude’s got a lot on his plate. You also don’t have a “green” show where you discuss green political issues, living a more green, sustainable life, etc. That might be a good one for Dylan?
Again, it would be a good idea for the new reporters that we paid for were part of the main show. Why are they relegated to just TYT Politics?! Skype them in and let them report to Cenk and Ana and have them be part of the discussion. It would make for a richer TYT main show. Or at least you should try it and see how it would go.
My biggest hope for a show, either weekly or monthly segment, would be Cenk and Dylan talking politics. Maybe add Jimmy to make it super fun.
I”ll end this by saying that it’s time for TYT to expand, not nibble around the edges with partial memberships and the like.
I’ve seen several comments across other post games and main show hours about the idea of a third hour. I think this would be a great idea for a third hour. checking in with their reporters from around the country and doing a news story from each of those spesific locations. like something thats spesific to NYC, something realy impacting Pennsylvania (like the fact that they’re now taxing netflix and online streaming sites wich if i’m not mistaken would include TYT). things from DC, or the midwest….
Also I love the Idea of an Environmental show, and have a great idea for a story for it. you guys should definitly check out Michigan and the issue of the pipeline running under the straight of Mackinak (sp?) that pipe line when it was built was good for 10 or 20 years and is at least double that, and the people in the states nearby are SUPER nervous. cause if that thing goes, its oil in 3 or 4 of the great lakes, wich is a HUGE ecosystem and TWENTY PERCENT of the WORLD’S fresh water….
Without doubt, Aggressive Progressives and the Friday Post Game are the best things on TYT.
I would take the half-price skinny bundle just to send a message– no interest in watching establishment apologist like Michael Shure, and it has been sad watching the Main Show become ever-more a parrot of establishment mainstream media.
Aggressive Progressives has become the real Rebel Headquarters.
#TotallyBullshit Yeah, it’s $10/month, but member’s get $20 off when paying annually (or roughly $8.30/month), so the model seems appropriately priced.
So about the tiger “attack” on Roy of Siegfried and Roy… there was no attack. The tiger was actually trying help him after he suffered a stroke and fell down during the performance and the tiger could sense something was wrong so tried to drag him backstage away from the noise and chaos of the clamoring audience. He was seriously permanently injured by the cat’s actions however Roy claims that the alternative would have been worse. Roy revealed all this in an interview with ET 11 years after the event. Here is a direct quote from that interview and a link to the article.
“I got a stroke and I fell down, and I see these blue eyes staring looking at me,” said Roy. “I was like, ‘What now? What happened?'”
“He picked me up by the neck and got me to the side so he’d know I’d be safe — like a mother with a cub. He took care of me.”
Roy told us that had Mantecore not severed his artery to relieve the blood pressure, he could have gone brain dead.”
~ Roy Horn of ‘Siegfried & Roy’
I forgot to mention that currently, Siegfried and Roy operate and maintain a large cat sanctuary where they have made notable progress in helping to save tigers and white lions from the brink of extinction. The following is an excerpt from an article about two men’s conservation efforts and their work at the sanctuary:
“For over 20 years, Siegfried and Roy have worked for the care and conservation of Royal White Tigers, starting with the offspring of a perfectly matched pair given to the U.S. by the Maharaja of Rewa in 1958. As a result of their efforts, there are now 200 of those rare and beautiful big cats gracing our planet.
38 of them live in Las Vegas, housed in comfort in the Mirage’s White Tiger Habitat.
In 1993, they expanded their efforts to include the Magical White Lions, and on April first, of 2001, their white Lioness Prosperity, gave birth to four cubs, dubbed The Pride of the Millennium, at the Cincinnati Zoo. That record-breaking birth increased the number of these precious lions in Siegfried and Roy’s worldwide conservation program to 23.”
It also gives a little more detail about the ‘incident’ that ended their performance career and notes that:
“Most experts on big cats agree that had Montecore intended to harm Roy, he would have grabbed him by the neck and shaken him, snapping his neck instantly. ”
Believe me, I’m with you when it comes to standing against the horrors and cruelties of circus animals and the like; But Siegfried and Roy were not that. They love their tigers and advocate for the fair and compassionate treatment of these beautiful animals and call for putting a stop to poachers and limiting the industrialization of the cats’ natural habitats. They love their tigers (and other big cats) but more importantly, their tigers love them. That wouldn’t be the case if they had ever been cruel to them. Unlike a dog, you have to earn a cat’s love.
Thank you for setting the record straight skj1191. Seigfried and Roy have nothing in common with “big game” hunters. To the story on the hunter killed by an elephant, I believe that at least one sub-species of African elephant is endangered. Love you Malcolm, but these hunters are not helping anything that I can see.
Yes, I’m quite sure you’re right. Ivory is still in demand and so very lucrative to poachers since selling it is not outlawed in many parts of the world. I know groups of wildlife activists have made an effort to diminish the poachers’ reason for slaying elephants these days by going out, cutting off their tusks while tranquilized and releasing them again but this tactic didn’t start being used until after some elephant breeds were already on the critically endangered list (if I recall correctly). The ‘almost too late response’ in conservation efforts seems to imply that most elephants capable of growing tusks are probably in at least the threatened category still. I don’t know if this particular hunter was after ivory or if the elephant had any to give him but whatever the case… I’m rather glad the elephant won the encounter.
Do a 50/50 with the audience re: trump’s last day… you keep half the earnings, some audience member gets half. That may be illegal or rather difficult with the prize laws…
Or maybe you auction something off, like you’re buying a raffle for a prize and each member buys a day or something… I’d buy into that
I’m only a paying member of TYT for Aggressive Progressives. My enjoyment of Dave,Steve and Malcolm was a discovered bonus. I generally do watch the main show but never post game except Fridays (skipping dumpster fires, sorry ladies). I do catch an occasional old school but only if it has Brett, Ana, Jimmy, Malcolm or non-usual guys. I just don’t follow sports and don’t generally agree with Michael or Mr ‘I constantly comb my hair’ guy. Cenk is ok generally but sometimes repetitive. Overall, I’m happy supporting the whole network even though I mostly just care about Agg Prog. The tyt politics stuff is generally good too. That’s more than you will hear from me in a blue moon because I am generally not a big commenter.
What ever happened to the Niger Delta Avengers? I’ve read stories mentioning a rival group the New Delta Avengers. I’ve seen stories that reference the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers. I’m really confused now since the updates have stopped. I only joined TYT for news about the Niger Delta Avengers. I think it is unfair to pay $10/month for infrequent updates. There should be a $2/month Niger Delta Avenger Update TYT subscription. I’m tired of these “main shows” and “pop triggers” and “what the flicks” living lavish lifestyles on my $10/month while all I care about are the Niger Delta Avengers. Please remedy this. ;)
Steve is on a power-trip as he calls out Malcolm’s unprofessional mistake for initially displaying the wrong answer. Clearly the $20M investment in TYT has created a two-class system of pros and un-pros. It is sad (SAD!) to see such a severe impact on the usually “unprofessional” culture of TYT.
Why Steve Why?? Why does a little bit of money need to change everything?
You can just look at Dave’s sad face (SAD!) and see that it is déjà vu all over again. He’s seeing his childhood relationships crash all around him.
Please please please for the sake of TYT get the money out of TYT”s business and send it to my hands. Only I can save you bigly. I am absolutely un-corruptible, believe me! #OneOfNineteen-Wolf-pac.com
BTW: tiny hands don’t indicate anything…
PS. I agree 100% with Dave’s POV on the skinny $5 TYT Package; Also the degree of professionalism in this show has reassured me that TYT’s culture isn’t going to change very soon … whew!!
Great Friday Post Game as usual. First time I got all five answers correct in Weekly Whirled News.
Also, I agree with Steve Oh in the TTOTB segment. I pay 10 bucks a month to support TYT as a whole and members should too. We all know we can get the main show, What the Flick, Think Tank, TYT Politics, TYT Interviews and other shows for free in Youtube. The 10 bucks a month is to support the progressive cause.
RE: Unprofessionalism
One of my favorite things about TYT is the laid-back, somewhat informal vibe to all of your shows. It makes you all seem like real people instead of plastic talking heads. TYT’s biggest asset is the fact that the hosts can connect with the audience on a human level. Letting us see the heart behind the reporting keeps you all from just being more corporate drones yapping at us. Don’t ever apologize for being real.
I second MistralDawn’s comments as well! I would say that the shows aren’t “unprofessional” but that they’re “unpolished”. You all aren’t scripted like Clinton News Network or Faux News, and most of us here like it that way. Continue to be the honest “broker” of news.
I wonder. I think there’s a war within Cenk the CEO and Cenk the host. His CEO part wants the main show to be polished and perfect like MSM. His other half wants to be like the shows he did 5 years ago (you know, the ones that brought a lot of us here).
Cenk, remember this always: we come here and pay because of authenticity first and foremost! Yes, buy new equipment and the like, BUT just stay REAL and GROUNDED. Rant. Rave. Do crazy Bulgarian calls. NO $4,000 suits. NO Brian Williams poses! And NO hobnobbing with the rich and establishment!
That TYT old video about the Bulgarians was hilarious! I watched it with my family – all Bulgarians , and could not stop laughing. I loved it! Thanks for forwarding it to me!
best friday post game ever and it had nothing to do with the fact that two of my comments were mentioned ;) I am still the king of weekly whirled news. all this winning is making my head spin. to those people that struggle (steve, dave) i read the international news section of the bbc website and a lot of the answers seem to pop up there(all). i think i may have found out where malcolm researches his questions from. stay strong people.
Love Steve Oh! So glad he’s back and the three amigos are togetherness.
Having said that,…Steve, its unprofessional to check your phone/type on your phone during the show. Hypocrite much?
They addressed it in the early part of this, Pstogios. They bust on each other, all the time.
It really did look like Steve Oh was overreacting, last time. But they’re saying here, that it’s all in jest.
Either way, TYT needs people like Dave right now, since it’s so tempting for them to overreact in today’s circumstances and spread hatred, without even realizing they’re doing it.
Don’t sell yourself/TYT so short! You DO provide a real value. Sure, Netflix provides entertainment, with enormous amounts of content… but their “value” is arguably no greater than TYT’s, and perhaps lesser: they provide something mostly designed to pass the time (with some documentaries, etc, sprinkled in too, but let’s be real, most people just seek Netflix for entertainment); and it can be fun to watch Netflix, but the world could live without Netflix and be okay. You all at TYT, on the other hand, provide something invaluable: you arm people with perspectives to change the world for the better (very varied ones at that!). Oh, and y’all have some pure-entertainment-value content too, so you’ve got a pretty well-rounded selection for still being such a small company. $10/mo is a pretty reasonable price point for what TYT offers, I think. As others said, most of us pay largely just to support TYT (especially since a LOT of the content is offered free).
P.S. This was one of the most amusing Friday PGs I’ve watched. The content was VERY similar to most others, so I’m not sure why this one struck me more… maybe because you 3 seemed especially chill, with especially good rapport? Or maybe because I’m getting to know your styles more and understand your humor better? Whatever the case, I laughed a lot… thank you all for that!
P.P.S. Steve, it’s okay, those of us who “get” you/your humor style/your reciprocal bust-nuts relationships with others at TYT knew right away that you were only joking when you gave Dave a hard time about his phone in that other PG. Or at least I knew it, anyway! – I thought your demeanor seemed obviously goofin’. But then again, maybe that’s just a sign I watch too much TYT content though, since a lot of y’all (you, Brett, Dave, etc) often have very dry wits that newbies may not pick up on as much ;-) I guess I also knew you couldn’t be serious because y’all don’t take yourselves anywhere near that seriously in almost any context – even on the main show, in some ways, let alone these more casual peripheral shows (one of many reasons I enjoy TYT so much). I love the small “imperfections” (hearing people laughing in the background, especially!!) that give TYT shows their un-stuffy, relatable charm. STAY STRONG, Steve (lol)! ;-)
WOW thanks Steve, Malcolm for that shoutout! LOVE ya Dave!
I actually chose to put my name, Karen, into the way I’m posted as a HUGE lover of the Bowery Boys, Dead End Kids, East End Kids and Little Tough Guys. The Bowery Boys series (1946-57) picked up all sorts of ways New York City led the American image and culture game, one of which was putting ‘ola’ or ‘ela’ on the end of ‘monikers.’ In the series, Louie the sweetshop guy called Sach ‘Sachela’ (accent SACH-ela) when he made money for him. I picked up on that and did a double ‘R’ to get the accent Kar-REN-ola but nobody gets it LOL. But I divest. (Dat’s called usin’ da past tense).
Right! TTOTB, put me down as MONDAY AUGUST 21st for the day Trump gets the hell out of office.
Lookit. It ain’t easy tuning into yous guys from here in Tokyo with the time difference and all, oftentimes I’ve got to get ready for work or I’m at work slash on the transportation. Or preparing to dodge NK missiles. So I’m not giving mostly for content, I had a GOOD LONG look at what you guys put up for free so I could see and hear your direction so I knew whatever you had was heroic. I’m so grateful to Net Neutrality – it has shown me lots of journalists I thought were leveling with me / We The People who were actually becoming paid off big donor / sponsor puppets. It was ‘worlds collide’ for a while till I made up my mind to diminish ’em, just play video games or do whatever it took to stop the white privileged, lackey, fashionista slant. After some years I saw TYT, I mean REALLY saw it after running into Cenk here and there on Current. After I was convinced you all were on the case with the kind of reports I’d long expected of true investigative journalists with hearts in the right place, I came on board as a member.
I believe TRUST is the foundation of all things including love. That includes love for darling Charlie (you go Ana cooking for him, LOVE you for that!) I don’t care if I have time to see all you guys are doing or not, I trust you. I gave as much as I could during the last fund drive not for the tees, which are very cool ( I neglected to get one of the three I was eligible for because I just cannot STAND the idea of wearing anything with Trump’s face on it and there were no other options). I donated because I want you guys to continue putting real investigative journalists like Jordan, Nomiki and Shaun all over the map with enough equipment & support to get the story out about how leaders go on making police their private forces and treating 99% of us like tenement dwellers in the Five Points. What you guys are doing is effectively ending over 200 years of putting We The People, who have been working to build this first democracy in the world, in slave plantations and Five Points situations.
You are what I mistakenly believed the news would be all about when I turned 11. All of you are a dream come true in my lifetime, so as long as I’m well enough to support you that’s what I’m gonna do. Martin Luther King, Jr would be so awesomely proud of you. You have the words to thank me that I don’t have to thank you as a result of being so overwhelmed by all the good you are doing.
Wow, Karrenola, “Right! TTOTB, put me down as MONDAY AUGUST 21st for the day Trump gets the hell out of office.” — I love your optimism and confidence! Almost makes me think there’s a chance it’d happen by then! Lol
Ya know… the downside, though, is that Malcolm won’t have time to fully put the pool together if it happens that fast…
(Acceptable “loss” though, hahaha)
Thank, Dave, for honoring Mark White in the obits tonight. He had the odd idea that children should be able to read when they get out of school. Thanks to his mom, a teacher, education was important. He did good.
Hahaha. I just watched the first 38 seconds of this. Steve Oh was a real meanie towards Dave last time, because of the phone distraction. And it wasn’t even intentional, on Dave’s part.
Do you know how funny that is?
Alright, maybe this is worth checking out. Have a good weekend, team.
Comments
Dave, Have you been to the Exploratorium? Paul Doherty died Friday, August 10, 2017. How about an obit?

Talk about Basic Income Guarantee. Automation to replace ~70% current jobs by 2030, with barely any new jobs

The correct answer is D for the question of which will the Brexit NOT entail
Brexit will NOT entail anything having to do with leprechauns etc.. so technically D is true…
bad question.
P.S. I just noticed a typo in my OP. An edit function would be handy. Thanks, guys; love the content!
Agreed
~ Roy Horn of ‘Siegfried & Roy’
http://www.etonline.com/news/148564_roy_horn_reveals_shocking_info_on_tiger_attack_from_11_years_ago
Please remedy this. ;)
Agreed. More Niger Delta Avengers updates.
RE: Question on UK/Ireland Brexit (#3)
Dave, I’ve come to the conclusion, that you are one of the ‘Rocks of Decency’, at TYT.
Or, in common parlance, you’re just an overall nice guy, who hopefully influences the rest of the team.
Crazy Bulgarian calls? I wasn’t here yet for that…I wish I was, that would have been hilarious (I’m from Bulgaria)
write2katia, many years ago TYT did a story about a Bulgarian singer and their review of her were mixed. So they got a lot of angry emails from Bulgarians about it. It’s hilarious! Here’s the link to the segment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYVuv6Gfz6E&list=FLkQ39AWd8bsR8LV6r6x-PTA&index=15
brumjo
That TYT old video about the Bulgarians was hilarious! I watched it with my family – all Bulgarians , and could not stop laughing. I loved it! Thanks for forwarding it to me!
best friday post game ever and it had nothing to do with the fact that two of my comments were mentioned ;) I am still the king of weekly whirled news. all this winning is making my head spin. to those people that struggle (steve, dave) i read the international news section of the bbc website and a lot of the answers seem to pop up there(all). i think i may have found out where malcolm researches his questions from. stay strong people.
Watching Friday Post Game is the best part of my Saturday mornings. Thanks guys!
Love Steve Oh! So glad he’s back and the three amigos are togetherness.
Having said that,…Steve, its unprofessional to check your phone/type on your phone during the show. Hypocrite much?
lol
They addressed it in the early part of this, Pstogios. They bust on each other, all the time.
It really did look like Steve Oh was overreacting, last time. But they’re saying here, that it’s all in jest.
Either way, TYT needs people like Dave right now, since it’s so tempting for them to overreact in today’s circumstances and spread hatred, without even realizing they’re doing it.
Oh yeah, btw, did someone with TYT take that background picture y’all started with? – I missed it if you said who took it.
Truly beautiful pic. Love the color palette.
Totally agree. Lots of us notice and appreciate
these visual treats.
Thanks to those responsible~!
~Upaya~
Steve Oh,
Don’t sell yourself/TYT so short!
STAY STRONG, Steve (lol)! ;-)
You know what other show also owed no small measure of its success to the crew laughing out loud… Soupy Sales!
half price for a skinny bundle? part of the cost is like Steve says: it’s membership & we are glad to help. some wish we could help more
WOW thanks Steve, Malcolm for that shoutout!
Keep it up. And pencil me in for Monday the 21st.
1980’s dumpster fire?
Roger on caging animals, for our amusement. Although a twisted ‘educational’ angle is often used to justify it.
