  1. So at about 9 minutes into is video jimmy brings up email. Then he says its nothing because it doesnt say here is the illegal info so give it to donald trump. Oh and just because we mess with russian elections does not make it right at they mess with ours.

  2. Share this fact-checked video by Adam Ruins Everything on “The Real Reason Hospitals Are So Expensive” in the USA.
Hint: The healthcare industry spends more on lobbying than the oil and defense industries combined!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeDOQpfaUc8

Now go pressure your legislators for serious change! Knowledge is power, and one person can make a difference!

  3. Regarding the Pakistani Town Council full of rapists by proxy, why didn’t they have the rapist raped?

It would still be wrong, but at least the victim wouldn’t be an innocent person. If every man convicted of rape in Pakistan was publicly raped, I guarantee we would see a drastic drop in rape. Let’s use their machismo bull$hit against them.

  4. Jimmy, you’ve convinced me. Please note: the FEC is comprised of equal amounts of “Rs” and “Ds”. When they vote on Tiny-hands, Jr, it will be a party-line vote. Nothing will be done. The FEC will be WORKING AS DESIGNED!

      1. If they’re going to skip a show, they ought to put that in writing, so people like me don’t have to keep coming back to the site wondering if they’ve posted it yet.

        1. I agree! This entire production platform that we all pay for monthly is extremely unprofessional!
          With…
Out of sync video – bad sound quality quite often – lateness – skipping shows without notice – stories they state are coming and then never addressed, Not to mention the constant Red-Scare going on recently, though that has nothing to do with production but it needs to be said.

  5. Whoever let the Jimmy Dore show happen outside of TYT made a major mistake. The Jimmy Dore show should be on TYT, AP is awesome but it should be more often like the Jimmy Dore show.

  6. For now, I don’t have nearly enough time to play my full part in this, but I’m nevertheless going to repeat the following call to action.

So many members regularly come on here to express their support and their loyalty to this show, and it’s obvious what the logical next step is, namely: how about we start an actual advocacy group for the Aggressive Progressives?

Meaning, a large group of TYT members who express their support for this show, but who do this in a more organized manner than simply random shout-outs on this one message board. Ideally this should involve things like a signup sheet, a Twitter hashtag, an additional message board, and all the other available tools of online support.

As an additional message board, I suggest The Jimmy Dore subreddit, which is right here: https://www.reddit.com/r/jimmydore/ Anyone can post there, just need to sign up for a free Reddit account, which takes only seconds.

Let’s call the group “The Aggressive Advocates” or something like that.

I will be posting this to the next AP thread, too, so we can talk it over and see what we can do.

  7. To me it seems that Jimmy’s moral philosophy is more circumstantial than consequential. The Democrats are just as bad as the Republicans because they have corporate donors. Where Sunsara was speaking of the heavier consequential damage of the Trump presidency and his fascist tendencies. All president’s have had some fascists elements to them, but the consequences of Trump’s actions need a justified punishment. Both the Democrats and the Trump presidency are problems that need to be addressed and it seems that they were just arguing about the weight of which both need to be addressed. They’re two separate battles which have some overlap. This is why it’s hard for progressives right now, we have to fight on two fronts. We need as much action as possible. Their conversation was very good and I found it constructive. They are both right in the making of the Trump presidency on his own intrinsic qualities and the qualities of the corporate Democrats.

On another note, agreed that the Russian thing is getting out of hand in the media.

    1. > Both the Democrats and the Trump presidency are problems that need to be addressed and it seems that they were just arguing about the weight of which both need to be addressed.

No, that’s not correct. The difference between the two problems is not one of quantity (the “weight” of the problem), it’s one of quality.

There are structural problems, and then there are surface, symptomatic problems. Trump is mainly the latter, while the current Democratic Party (certainly as a party, and as the official, nominal representative of “the Left” ) are much closer to the former.

The Democrats represents the Neoliberal consensus (i.e. the consensus of neoliberal capitalism) in its functional, widely accepted, continuous form. Trump is a momentary outburst, and a clear symptom, of neoliberal capitalism’s gradual (and less visible) implosion.

The current Democrats are the face of the status quo; the face of its desire to continue unchanged and unaltered for as long as possible. Trump is an early warning sign of the status quo’s eventual and inevitable collapse.

In short, qualitatively, they’re very different.

      1. I guess I could agree its a quality of which both the Democratic party and the Trump presidency need to be addressed. But I don’t think quantity is synonymous with weights in your logic there. It doesn’t change the fact of either having pretty solidified points that seem to show there are two problems that have some overlap and that there are some separate variable to be considered for each. I don’t think its an A caused B problem but rather an A and B caused C problem where neither A and B are completely dependent on each other. So we can distribute some weight to A and B that creates C. Quality or quantity aside, I don’t see the one cause being completely dependent on the other. Fascism and corporate Democrats won’t both go away if one is eliminated. However I would agree that removing the Democrats would weaken Trump and the fascist movement. That also doesn’t remove the fact that one could potentially be worse than the other. Fascism at its full capacity is downright scary and evil where the corporate Democrat party at its worse is just another Obama presidency all over (which I understand is scary and evil too but not to the same extent). But in the end we want neither, and I do agree that Trump is being put up as a straw man by the Democrats to redirect blame for people’s concerns onto Trump.

        1. I agree that the Dems are corrosive and have a hidden agenda with the Russia probe but the Trump administration is a ginormous problem for our country and the world and it needs to be dealt with. If it is because of his family’s money laundering with Russia or his obstruction of justice…whatever it is he needs to go and I don’t think it should take a back seat to anything right now. It is not that I disagree with what Jimmy claims it is more how he presents these issues and contrasts their importance.
It is my expectation that Progressives can walk and chew gum at the same time.

  8. Steph was right – we don’t have universal health care because of a bunch of white guys and somebody’s dick got in the way!

  9. Regarding the Russians, I’ve posted the following countless times on the internet and will again post it here:

It wasn’t the Russians who colluded with the DNC and the media to black out any trace of Bernie’s campaign.
The Russians didn’t write those emails.
The Russians didn’t take 126,000 voters off the rolls in Bernie’s hometown of Brooklyn.
The Russians didn’t reduce the number of polling places, nor did they supply voters with worthless provisional ballots.
So please, can someone tell me exactly how the Russians managed to get Trump elected when Hillary ran such an openly dirty campaign?

  10. This. This is how I feel about the Russia coverage on both ends. It is not why HRC lost. Yes MSM is covering this issue too much. But at a certain point, isn’t all the anti coverage of the MSM Russia coverage overkill? Isn’t it peak irony? I want more stuff like the health care history and more of Steph’s opinions as a female educator.

  11. That protester at the end is delusional and needs to channel her energies in a more productive fashion. Trump is extremely unlikely to be impeached and convicted, something that has never happened. Even if he does get impeached and convicted, it’s absolutely delusional to think that any of the Republicans who would replace him would be any better. The most viable way to solve the problem is to vote in someone else in 4 years. The best way to make this happen is to protest against the Democrats who rigged their primary and gave us Trump in the first place. This protester is right to be angry, but she is completely wasting her time and could be doing a protest that would actually help.

  12. Jimmy, you should have Sunsara on Jimmy Dore show. The conversation was very interesting and YOU Jimmy Dore, with your 250K subscribers, could really further this conversation/ debate. I found it interesting that one of your points of contention was *why* DT was elected. You: corporatism, economic, anti-gov/establishmentism. Sunsara: white supremacy, nationalism. I think you are both partially correct. I happen to adhere to your view more than hers BUT, I must concede to her point that we all view the situation through our own bias or construct. (AND I’d like to point out that Sunsara did the VERY SAME THING by outright dismissing YOUR perspective in favor of her own perspective.) It reminds me of the (initial) argument between Sanders campaign and BLM. Sanders: economic inequality is the root cause of evil. BLM: racism is the root cause of evil. BOTH ARE TRUE, but we tend to only view through our own perspective and almost CANT HEAR when others, who are in essence fighting for a similar outcome, argue from a different perspective. We ALL need to step back and try and gear those who are fighting a similar fight which is : our “government” is stripping us of our rights and forcing us to live lives of (not so quiet) desperation. WE CAN DO BETTER. Let’s really listen to other citizens who are fighting for the ideals of our founders: life, LIBERTY, and pursuit of happiness for the 99%. That’s the f-ing point of our government. Love you Jimmy ❤️

    1. Agreed! Jimmy should have Sunsara on! I am a woman and I get fuckin’ sick to death of hearing how HRC lost BECAUSE of a violent anti-women movement. Hillary lost because she’s a shitty campaigner. Do you think Sen.Warren would have lost? The only female politician people hate more than Hillary is probably Pelosi. Just about any other woman would have made dogfood out of Trump.

      You know what is anti-women?
Believing that women who didn’t vote for $hillary deserve a “special place in hell.”

If she is looking to win people to her side, having a protest against Faux News is sad & tired.
What a GIANT WASTE of energy.
She seemed to agree that Obama had some bad decisions, but she STILL believes he’s a prince who was forced to make those decisions. I would bet a further conversation would involve, “Yes, Obama was wrong. But, he HAD NO CHOICE.”

What protests did she organize against Obama? Or the DNC’s corruption? Any? I would be interested to know.

    1. This is a great comment. Not only that, they didn’t act like they had their feelings hurt afterward. This is what fighters do. Somewhere along the line people (Dems mostly) came to favor civil discourse over meaningful discourse.

  13. People are jumping allover Jimmy cuz he continues to hammer the Dems on this stupid “Russia, Rinse, Repeat” strategy. He is NOT a “secret Republican,” if anything he is a New Party-Berniecrat.
AP is the ONLY VOICE on TYT talking about this shit!
Cenk & Ana have half their hours everyday taken up with Russia-gate.
Michael Shure, and his little clone, John, won’t talk about anything else! I can’t stand Michael’s passive-aggressive whine about how Progressives “don’t understand. That’s not how things work. If I had time, I could explain it to you,” blah, blah, blah.

The DNC/Clintoncrats DO NOT give a shit if the building is being burn to the ground as long as THEY are in power! After DECADES of ignoring Dem voters concerns, NOW they are all “Resist-y”? NOW they give a shit?

Chickens are coming home to roost.
$hillary lost because she is a woman??? If you believe that, you have Clintoncrat-Blinders on.
She is IGNORING the fact that the DNC is STILL trying to fuck Progressives!!!
I prefer the protestors put their anger & energy into primary challengers for the DNC/Clintoncrats.
Did the protest have some of those stupid giant papier-mache heads walking around?

Jimmy is RIGHT about his adult children of alcoholics analogy.
He is SOOOO fucking right about that.
Jimmy, PLEEEEEEEZZZZZZ have Dylan Ratigan on with you and Malcom.
Now THAT would something to crow about!

    1. I think the disagreement in the comment section is putting a hole in Jimmys pre Trump presidency analysis. He said Trump would unify the left and so far I can’t say I see that at all. If anything the left is even more fractured.

Its also kinda funny to listen to Jimmy talk about Trump or Russia. I remember Steve Oh was discussing Russia with Jimmy on one episode and Jimmy mentioned how he watches cable news and MSM is obsessed with this story. I think Jimmy should watch less cable news because it will drive you insane. Its all Russia all the time. ALL THE TIME!!!! Thank goodness there are no other problems in this country, right?

But I have to say that I find Jimmys views on Trump harder to explain. Jimmy says there is absolutely no evidence, but that hasn’t stopped him from speculating in the past. Jimmy was saying that Hillary has Parkinson’s during the campaign. But when it comes to Trump he sees absolutely nothing. He talks about Hillary and the Clinton Foundation, but sees nothing with Trump.

He occasionally will make a joke about Donnie Tiny hands, but never sees anything really that bad with what he’s doing. Jimmy doesn’t seem to find it unusual at all that the Trump administration always seems to have amnesia when it comes to meeting with individuals from ONE particular country. They’re always getting caught in lies about ONE particular country. The ONE particular country that Trump asked to get Hillary’s emails. There is always the “yeah, but remember Obama and what Hillary did or set this up..” He does this all the time. Nothing is ever Trumps fault. If Trump literally filmed himself burning the constitution Jimmy would say “Remember Barack Obama used to smoke.” And if you don’t believe that then you must be a neoliberal corporate Democrat. Its so binary to think that way. He doesn’t sound objective at all.

Does anyone actually think Trump knows what Obama and Bush paved the way for a further erosion of our civil liberties or consolidation of corporate and government power? If you believe that you’re drinking the koolaid. Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing. Remember he didn’t even know what a ground game was? Yet we are expected to believe that he’s inacting a master plan to destroy America that was left by Obama and Hillary? God help us once Trump gets off twitter and someone hands him a thesaurus. That’s when the shit is gonna really start to hit the fan.

  14. This show is starting to sound like a broken record, a damaged CD, or for you millennials, a damaged MP3 played on an iPhone or getting ready-to-explode Samsung.

  15. I am sick and tired of both the protestor and Jimmy talking about who is right about a polical process, and neither talks about Fucking Paper Ballots. Don’t use manipulative talking points about polling results or election results without knowing the facts. Take control of your lives. Take control. Only then can you talk about change. But I have said that a Green Revolution doesn’t need an election.
I liked that Graham has started talking about electric vehicles as being a tool of revolution. Let’s disrupt the establishment.

  16. Eval 1979 has nailed it.

The next goal is to only vote in real Progressives right acros the board. at all levels, with a Federal and State goal of two thirds in each house which would give, the necessary structural changes needed to effect constitutional reform as per Bernies platform.

That has to be the rallying cry, not just 50 per cent.

Cenk and pals have taken the 50 pieces of silver for over 15 months now and its heartbreaking to watch such a sellout.

  17. People getting mad at Jimmy for only exposing democrats still do not understand. The one and only way to defeat Trump and republicans is to completely 100% fix the Democratic Party or destroy it and start a new one. Nothing else has worked or will work, get That in your heads!

Democrats have tried to destroy trump for over a year now only made him stronger, they managed to turn Trump into an underdog.
If you’re someone that’s getting mad at Jimmy for only exposing democrats realize you’ve been wrong all along, you voted for Hillary WRONG!!! You lost and you will loose again. Over 1 billion dollars on her campaign WRONG!!! Women’s stupid march WRONG!!!! Everyday impeach Trump WRONG!!!
Russia Russia Russia WRONG!!! CNN , TYT WRONG!!!
Here’s the one and only thing that defeats Trump and republicans; 100% FIX DNC SO IT REPRESENTS WORKING CLASS OR DESTROY IT AND START A NEW PARTY.

  18. I agree with Sunsara and her views way more than Jimmy. Jimmy and a lot of people seem way more inclined to blame Obama and Hillary for what Trump is doing than Trump. How is it woke to repeat talking points from Hannity. There are conservative in comas that are more woke than him. It honestly just seems like blind partisanship.

Remember when Obama was President and how upset we would get listening to conservatives talk about Obama? It was super frustrating cause they made him out to be a progressive lion when he was just a mouse. And in spite of this Democrats still ran away from association with him. Was this because they thought he was too liberal? Does anyone remember hearing the conventional wisdom that Obama should hang out with Republicans and have beers with Bohner?

There was no one fighting for progressives values. Not the democrats not Obama and certainly not the Republicans. But it seems like there’s a lot of people who think progressives should ignore republicans and Trump and just exclusively talk about Democrats. That seems insane to.

There have been people that were woke long before the term woke was popular. Does anyone remember the protests at the DNC at 2000? There were protests well before that. Its not a new concept to believe the democrats are corrupt. It is a new concept to pretend that the democrats are the ONLY problem.

Jimmy says we should thank Wikileaks. Thank them for what? Releasing damaging information on someone Assange said was a “demon” at the point its least likely to help the candidate most of us believed in? The documents were clearly not leaked to help Bernie Sanders. So why exactly is this guy a hero? Because as hate Hillary? I asked Assange on Twitter why these documents were not released earlier and was attacked for daring to question his motives. Apparently its not cool to do that.

    1. I agree that alot of these talking points Jimmy talks about is often trumpeted by fox news that the democrats are the only problem. Don’t misunderstand me there have been corrupt democrats as much as there is corrupt republican and I do agree with your point about Assange, I am not saying he hasn’t released credible info in the past but Assange is living in exile because of Obama continuing the bush era police state. Another one of obama’s sins was he didn’t have the guts to stand up to the generals and continued the bush crusade in the middle east and continue to encroach upon russia with nato (every president since HW bush left office and was inevitable). I do agree with Jimmy Donald trump is the penultimate result of the Neocons and Neoliberals establishment that is putting the peoples needs and interest dead last to there desires and there donors needs and interest. Getting a leader who only interest to exploit this weakness that the Neocons and Neolibs put in place was inevitable.

  19. You guys are so awesome and the only reason I’m keeping my subscription for now. Tell Cenk they need to cover the DNC lawsuit NOW or start losing his base. TYT is starting to lose credibility.

  20. I could have sworn she was trying to say overthrow the government without actually saying it. Am I wrong? You are right? The mentioned getting rid of trump and pence, but I didn’t hear her say she wanted tim ryan. She did mention a bunch of mumble jumble, I just thought she meant fuck the current government. It is time for a new way of life.

I thought she was just scared to say it. Guess I just wanted her to mean that *sigh.*

  21. Come on Jimmy she was talking about an overthrow of government. She wants a brand new system.

    Maybe anarchist communism. Dunno.

    1. Yeah and jimmy was pointng out, the best case scenario is you get paul ryan, how does that help you? Then she went down some nonsense rabbit hole that made her entire protest unreasoanble.

If these people want to see real change, they need to be protesting democrats.

    2. Malcolm’s history lesson of how we never got universal healthcare was super interesting and haven’t heard a more comprehensive summary anywhere. More people should know about this, not just members.

  22. Sunsara does have a good point about that cultural movement of revenge (however delusional) against social progress … it can be seen all over Youtube, in the anti-feminist or anti-“SJW” movement, for example. The rise of this sort of attitude is a fairly telltale sign of fascist culture. The U.S. is no stranger to it, of course, but it definitely doesn’t seem to have been getting better.

Whether it be tearing down the current incarnation for what it is, or tearing down the Democrats for what they tacitly helped build, install, and maintain, I’m okay with people attacking this from every front possible.

(I’m also relieved the conversation appeared to end amicably.)

  23. Maybe i am mistaken and trump will turn out to be another Hitler, but at this point, the comparison is a absurd and i will take trump over G W Bush all day long. trump will have to work overtime to come close to doing the damage G W did to this country and IF this cease fire holds, trump has done more to end war than Obama did in two terms. I love Sunsara’s passion, but the rise of fascism in this country goes way beyond one orange clown.

  24. Hey Jimmy!

    Great show.

Can you please address the interview done with President Assad and the “journalist” from Yahoo. The interviewer kept bringing up propaganda and would not let it go. I would love to see you cover this interview and break down the BS. Assad did a great job addressing the issues and this needs to be addressed. Syria as we know is a giant lie and this will help show that.

    Full interview.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfwYCTsk984

  25. Hey! Welcome President Ryan. Not sure what protesting Fox News. Why don’t they protest congress, where the real problem lies?

  26. Ugh, painful to listen to that protestor. Calling yourself non-partisan, then turning around and blaming ONLY Trump for the current situation…….is not partisan?…having no policy positions except for LOOK AT HOW F’D UP THE OTHER PERSON IS….is not a policy. The vast majority of protests inability to focus messaging and intent, makes them useless.

    1. The protester was doing good until she basically said that HRC lost becuase she was a woman. No madam, she lost because she was a status quo corporatist. She started foaming when Jimmy accused her of being partisan. I think Jimmy did a good job pointing out that all that energy should be focused on changing the system not just against the Trump administration

  27. Big fan Jimmie but I think Sunsara won that little debate. The “but what about” argument fell flat considering she plainly agreed with all the other things you mentioned.

    1. So she agreed with him in this conversation. That’s cute. Think about what her movement is doing.

You know what’d be way more powerful? A protest against a specific policy issue. Like the Iraq war, that Obama said he would end. That applies real pressure.

What’s her end goal, here? If the “Trump/Pence regime” is removed, will she protest the neoliberals that paved the way for him with the same fervor? I’d be highly surprised if she did.

      Actions > Words

  28. Why is it a progressive position to defend Donald Trump?

We do not know whether this woman had the connections she’d need to get her the info SHE CLAIMED to have, but we don’t know that she didn’t. Jimmy is only parsing the points that support him.

We can both oppose the DNC and oppose the clown in office. We can oppose his bad positions and oppose his treason. Let’s not replace one false dichotomy (Dem-Rep) with another (establishment vs. Trump)

    1. Sooo, why are they protesting in front of..Fox news of all places? There is no Trump / Pence there…I don’t watch tv but aren’t all media establishment? Why to protest in front of a media organisation? They are audience and profit driven, they are not elected officials in charge of decisions. Yea, obviously they do propaganda but the protester is not protesting propaganda..

  29. At the beginning of this episode I got angry at Jimmy and disagreed with his premise… However, as always, after hearing him out he may be correct and I’m amazed he’s the only one making this point. COME ON CENK!!!

  30. I think Jimmy really met his match with that lady protester at refusefascis.org, she listened, could pinpoint exactly what she agreed / disagreed with amongst all Jimmy threw at her like a ninja AND could articulate exactly WHY she disagreed. She ‘shot the sheriff’ a couple of times too; sorry Jimmy she had you more than once out there.

I LOVED her point about Obama being different from Trump though she didn’t excuse Obama for the harm he’s done, and about the harm various corporate and government leaders caused yet they were not as extreme as Hitler. One can indeed say Hitler was the result or symptom of all that had been building up before him but that should not pull the focus away from the head of that monster which was none other than Hitler. BUT. Back then there wasn’t an identifiable, widely recognized singular person or party to be thrown up against Hitler, no single force that people were presented with that could lose to him the way Hillary lost to Trump. So I’d like to ask her why SHE thinks Hillary lost.

Her point about the Trump driving force being disgruntled baby boomer white men wanting their 1840s-1940s assumed, unspoken / unwritten privileges back. But HOW does even this make Trump any worse than the creeps who put Hillary Clinton up in our faces and spared no dirty trick to do it? How are Republicans worse than Democrats when they BOTH got rid of the League of Women Voters’ multi-candidate debates and BOTH conspired to make voters choose between Goldman Sachs and Goldman Sachs? And thanks to Malcolm’s information we now know BOTH parties worked hard via backroom dirty tricks to get rid of universal health care and force hard working Americans to pay the brunt of Medicare, letting the rich off more and more. So I’d like to ask her WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT TRUMP and OBAMA/CLINTON?

If she’s just on about the difference being the treatment of women and people of color, that’s not hitting the roots in my opinion. A universal health care system and a modern reality based minimum wage / education system where the poor pay nothing or little, the middle pays some and the rich pay the most HITS and shrivels inequality of everything right at the roots.

Get her back on please, she’s on the ball and we need to know more of what drives her to do the fantastic job she’s tirelessly doing.

    1. Very well said,( and may I add) to all the folks angry at Jimmy’s treatment of “Sunsara”, please take a step back. He challenged her, and she was given the respect, of an uninterrupted opportunity to defend/support her view(s)….Jeez what’s not to love here? OBW the name of the show is AGGRESSIVE PROGRESSIVES…ps..Thanks for showing up this week Malcom, you were missed:)

    2. What happens once their goal is accomplished? The most positive thing I can see about her movement is that it gets people active. Active to do what, though? Would these same people not be put to better use fighting for specific policy issues, like universal healthcare coverage?

All I heard from Hillary’s campaign was “I’m not him.” How is this different? How will this make the world a better place?

  31. Just take a look at their website. It’s all about “removing the Trump/Pence regime”.

Their message is muddying the waters. She was deft in this interview, for sure. But they’re so fake. Jimmy recognized it immediately, and I’m glad he went after her.

It’ll get people involved in protesting. Cool. But to what end? Is that really the best use of our resources? What happens once their goal is accomplished? Just like Hillary, I got no message from her other than “Look how bad THAT guy is!”.

    Classic misdirection, my dude.

  32. Barack Obama bombed so many Muslims and countless children of all faiths.

But how dare Trump ban them!

  33. Perhaps, and if so, what would an anti fascist movement look like if half the population supports it. The klan is marching because people are poor; you are literally scared of poor and disenfranchised populations.
The Democratic Party has to be reformed before we can ever begin to talk down to the Republican Party and its voter base; no matter how deluded they may appear to be.
The democratic gass lighting is very real and must be dealt with first and foremost. Not another ill word should be spoke of conservatives, less we’ll be, eternally, hypocrites firing off in echo chambers.

  34. Jimmy,
Maybe you didn’t want to listen to the protestor, she said many times that she does not and did not like Obama and the many terrible things his administration did.
I’m really disappointed in the way you handled this interview.

    1. I didn’t like how Jimmy handled that interview either, which is probably the first time he’s disappointed me. While I fully agree with Jimmy’s point that the protest is too narrowly focused and partisan, he could have used this interview to support one of the major predictions he made prior to the election, namely: “Clinton and the democrats put the Left to sleep. If Trump gets elected then the Left will be galvanized because the ugly mask will be ripped off and people will take to the streets.” So here we are, the Left is awake and in the streets just as Jimmy predicted and Jimmy uses his platform to quash the momentum. That was frustrating to watch. Maybe Jimmy needs to watch Susan Saradon’s interview with Chris Hays again when she argued that Trump’s election could lead to the “Leninist wing of the Left to mobilize.” Organic protest movements from the bottom-up are very rare and very powerful. Jimmy should have bolstered the growth of this movement instead of stepping on it.

    2. Wow, to those angry and/or disappointed in Jimmy’s interview with the FOX NEW’s PROTESTER…we didn’t see the same show… I felt like Jimmy’s Challenge strengthened her narrative. This can’t be a Trash-Trump-Movement… to succeed. I don’t for a moment believe that friends and family that voted for Trump are racist or fascist___ instead of extremely ANGRY AMERICAN’s__who saw their only opportunity to BLOW-UP the political establishment and took it! I loved (the protesters) historical qualifier that led to the nazi take over of Germany. She is a good communicator and I believe Jimmy’s treatment was fair. EXCELLENT SHOW:)

      1. I love Jimmy Dore as much as the next person, but I think he missed an opportunity to show how his theory is being vindicated. Asking the protestor if she would still be in the streets if Clinton got elected would have been very educational. Then they could have talked about the necessity of protest movements in general and that it’s kind of a blessing in disguise that Trump got elected because millions of people now realize that changing the system means taking matters into your own hands. Instead, Jimmy poured water on a much needed fire.

  35. Jimmy, I love your work but this is starting to get poor – you’re actively looking for anything negative into the democrats [btw, this isn’t saying they’re clean or good – I personally think the Justice Democrats et.al. should spin off into their own party as the Democratic party is so corrupt], such as the total right-wing nutjob conspiracy of Seth Rich, but you’re also seeking to downplay any negative Trump/Republican story as ‘nothing there’. Unfortunately, it appears that yourself and your most ardent followers are in an echo chamber in which your distrust of both corporate Democratic shills and corruption in the media have effectively blinded you to any news source which may corroborate historical suspicions on the Democratic loss.

However, this isn’t to say that Hillary would have won – if there was (as it is confirmed there was) Russian collusion, in which they targeted voter registries (which they did), to try and identify weak sections of the voting landscape [through, in my opinion, targeted, localised social media campaigns], this would have only been 1-2% of the vote at the maximum [again in my opinion].

Also, just because you agree that collusion (or conspiracy to collude, as was what happened with Trump Jr.), doesn’t mean anything for the Clinton team – she’s an unemployed grandma, and regardless of what happens she’ll remain an unemployed grandma (she won’t magically become president if all this is proved, and because of what she represents, she’ll never become president in any future campaign).

My final thoughts on this are, the Russia connection is an incredibly important story, but I also don’t think it should be covered by the MSM the way it is – simply because it is very complex, requires significant background, and does not lend itself to be espoused in 2-5 minute blocks. And whilst you make the case that the US influences other elections, it doesn’t make that right, nor does it make external influence into the US alright. We should be focusing on the horrific policies and directions of the Trump cabinet, and what they’re currently doing, and let the investigation unfold as it must under the Mueller.

    1. I agree with your thoughts. I know someone like Jimmy Dore… someone who is so disgusted with the Democrats he cannot focus on anything the Republicans do without watering it down by pivoting immediately away from them to the other side of the aisle. It’s almost like these people support Trump because of their unrelenting passion to reveal the corruption of anyone who opposes him.

      1. You guys are missing his point, he pointed it out very clearly, the ENTIRE republican party is on board with their current message. THE DEMOCRATS are on board with the republican message so when you impeach trump, and pence and inevitably get Paul Ryan, WHAT FUCKING CHANGES?

You cant fix a problem if there is no solution, and this problem started BEFORE trump. The democrats have no message they have no plan and the majority of them agree with what trump is doing they just dont like HOW he is doing it.

Jimmys point is was simple and it was the one she didnt answer, Once you remove those guys, what is the solution? Because the republicans are doing exactly what they were elected to do. Trump ran on a boarder wall, trump ran on a muslim ban, trump ran on repealing climate change protections, everything he is doing is exactly what he was elected to do. What are the democrats doing? Promising change and then telling you how unfeasible it is to give you that change at this current point in time.

Do you know how you get single payer? You do it by passing it in states that are leading the charge, California was 2 steps from the fucking finish line and the DEMOCRATS are the ones who are stopping it, so pretending that trump is the only problem is the biggest fucking problem the left has right now.

As a progressive, your primary enemy is the democrats, the people have nowhere to go, there is no left party for the worker. You want 15 dollars, you have to fight democrats, you want single payer, you have to fight democrats, you want BERNIE FUCKING SANDERS, guess what you have to fight democrats. But they wont, they wont even call them on their blatant election fraud. Until you excise the cancer in the democratic party, you have no fucking business protesting donald trump, especially when every fact point out that its the DEMOCRATS who made trump possible, their past laws, their past repeals, their actions, and yet, jimmy is the problem because he keeps pointing out that trump is not the problem, merely a symptom.

What happens when you are sick, and you just take painkillers to block the pain so you can function? Youre still sick, you’re just hiding. And thats what this protest is, treating the symptoms, but not curing the illness so in a few months those symptoms come back, and just like any illness they come back harder, and stronger.

Your impeach trump and i promise you the next guy will be much worst, and much better at hiding it, and he will most likely be a joe manchin type democrat who like obama will lie to your fucking face while doing the same ugly shit.

If you guys have been watching jimmy dore this whole time and cant figure out that woman had no answers, i dont know what you were watching. Keep thinking the reason jimmy is saying what he is saying is because he is a closet Trump supporter.

        1. I don’t think Jimmy is a closeted Trump supporter. I was voicing frustration at what I think is too much attention on the Dems playing with matches as the Repubs burn down the building. I get that both parties are corrupt, but the one in power right now is a more immediate threat.

I love that Jimmy calls out the Dem party, as they are frequently terrible. I only want him–at times– to stay focused on what the Repub party is doing.

    1. So Vesselnitskaya defended Russian companies accused by Trump-fired Preet Bharata of multimillion dollar money laundering into Manhattan Real Estate…now, who do we know in Manhattan real estate….and then Jeff Session let let them off with a slap on the wrist…
