Hey Cenk, the position you’re espousing (regarding why it’s good that there are people with autism) here is referred to as “neurodiversity”, and it was started by several prominent people with autism. Obviously people with rets syndrome or serious mental illnesses aren’t a good kind of diversity, but I would agree that asberger’s syndrome or other cognitive differences isn’t something that we should be trying to “cure.”
Ana: talking intelligently, fluently and entertainingly to a camera for hours at a time doesn’t seems insignificant because you’re a natural and you’re surrounded by naturals. Most people find computer programming mind-boggling, but to me its simple, because it’s my thing. Also, not to mention your voice is reaching more people than probably 99.999% of other people’s voices and many like me pay to listen to you, or at least the flavor that you add to the show. Sounds pretty significant to me!
My view on Ana… I’ve been viewing TYT for a long time now. I do wish I had become a member sooner. In any case, I’ve been very proud of Ana. For long time viewers we have seen Ana mature over the past few years. I don’t mean emotionally, I mean intellectually. My first impression of Ana was that she was a bit inexperienced due to her young age. Her hard work has really paid off and I really enjoy her contributions to TYT. So I was kind of bummed when I watched her questioned her value to the show. All I can say is that there are thousands of TYT viewers who appreciate her, even though we may not express our appreciation very often.
My personal view Cenk… What first attracted me to TYT was Cenk’s personality. I liked his humor and enthusiasm. What’s kept me on TYT is not only the political analysis, but also the quirky stories. Between Democracy Now! and TYT I really get a good view of the state of the nation. I hope an opportunity does come that breaks TYT out of its niche, like Current TV almost was. Who knows? The future always has surprises.
There’s massive value to what Ana does! Without being too schmoopy The Young Turks really does inspire and shape many people’s political beliefs and, by extension, peoples’ outlook on life. I know that watching TYT for the last few years has in many ways influenced me to become the person I am now.
So Ana, you and Cenk are inspiring people every day, there are few things in life more valuable than that.
It’s just as Cenk said: Everybody has his role.
And if you are lucky enough, your role will be important enough to make a difference. You guys at TYT are no scientists oder doctors, but the world ist better for you doing what you are doing. That doesn’t mean you are perfect, but being a progressive news show, opening peoples eyes to the world and educating them IS important. You can’t and you shouldn’t deny yourself that realisation.

You fill a role in this program that is (in my opinion/to me personally) essential to it’s success. The success of this program inspires me, and I’m sure many others like me, to pay more attention to certain issues. If I, and + or people like me make a difference, you are partially responsible for it.
I will make a significant difference. I will not be alone in this.
not sure if anyone at TYT would read this but,was watching the House approps’ Cmte.Looks at DEA budget on C-Span about 40 ish mins into Michele Leonhart testimony she said something about The Young Turks. What she said i don’t know i was rolling one and wasnt paying atition much until i heard her say the young turks LOL.I am sure she wasnt talking about you guys but eh cant be 100% sure. You guys pushing drugs into the USA? LOLOL
You guys shed light on how our government is bought and paid for by corporations and big money interests & if you guys spark the mind(s) that could change the system and maybe the world, that’s invaluable. Wolf-pac

Ana’s role on the show is to attract nerdy guys and she always goes on about how she wants more.
The scientists who change the world do it because they are brilliant, not because they want to change the world.
Is there any way to watch post games from before 2013? My TARDIS isn’t working right now

There’s no role that matters, so choose one that matters to you.
