  4. The Christian Democrats of America already said pro choice lowers the rates of abortion and infant mortality overall. While anti abortion laws as we know raise the abortion levels and mortality. It doesnt even line up with their objectives. But they’ve literally given up their minds to this propaganda it’s really sad.

  6. I was raised a catholic but have been a happy pagan for over 25 years. However, I do remember when Vatican II was held and we were taught to only follow the New Testament and to not focus on the Old Testament, yet every evangelical still quotes the Old Testament incessantly!

  12. Ana’s feelings on Omorosa mirrors what many of us feel about TYT coverage of the new Sacha Baron Cohen show. He has been up to these antics for a very long time: pretending to be someone, getting people to embarrass themselves on camera, and then packaging that into a show or movie. Its not news. Perhaps one segment at the beginning to comment on the cultural phenomenon, but now every time there is a new episode TYT covers it in its lead story. The last episode was the only time it was relegated to the second hour, but it should not be on at all. It is definitely not more important than the economic collapse in Turkey or the Globe’s campaign against Trumps attack on the media.

  15. The Departed is actually an original script from the Hong Kong entertainment industry. The Hong Kong version, in my opinion, was better just because the mob style was truly the style of how it works in Hong Kong, and understanding it in the original language is great. It did so well Hollywood bought the rights to the script. Thus, The Departed.

    1. She has 44 acting credits and has only been acting for 13 years with only a handful of those acting credits being in stuff that is not already out. If she remains working like this she will be one of the most prolific actors ever.

  23. About the mainstream media being against leftist ideals, I think you guys should definitely read Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky and Edward Herman. They really dive into detail explaining the MM’s true function in the country, and the roles played by conservatives and liberals.

    Conservatives support State Power and liberals (in the MM) represent the acceptable range in criticizing that power: meaning “this is how far you can go in criticizing the State. Anything further, and it’s unacceptable for public discourse”.

    That’s why I always say there is a real difference between liberals and progressives.

  24. You tried really hard with Kaniela. Things are so hard to change in Hawai’i. I mean, look how long Daniel Inouye was in office. When CVS bought Longs, they knew people wouldn’t shop there unless they kept the Longs name. They did and people still shop there. There are no national banks in Hawai’i. They just don’t work. The only one I remember was Bank of America and eventually a local bank bought them out and another one never came in. Hawai’i is very brand loyal. Hawai’i is very different from any other state. We are isolated, we have a lot of very different traditions. I asked my mom about their voting and she said she did look at Kaniela but was unhappy with some of the things she read about him. She said she thought he needed to grow up a little bit and then maybe try again. People new Ed Case’s name. A lobbyist for a hotel isn’t something looked down upon, especially in a place where the main money comes from tourism, you know. Hawai’i is a hard nut to crack, that’s for sure. Try not to feel bad about it. You guys have been working so hard. Try to be gentle with yourself. And on the off chance Cenk reads this, I met you at Yale. I told you, you didn’t have to pronounce my name because it would be too hard. LOL Though I still practice saying your last name every time you say it.

      I have great memories of the 10 years I spent in Honolulu. What I miss most is limu poke. I doubt I will ever come across it again.
