  9. Just want to provide some context Cenk. there are some on the left who do want to abolish law enforcement all together. That being said it isn’t a commonly held belief of the majority on the left. But I personally know two people who have that stance. Two very educated and thoughtful men. Not crazy fringe people. They’re just VERY VERY far left. Again, it is a VERY small minority, but it’s out there. Though no democrat is using that as a platform obviously. So, yes Fox News’ framing of that issue was obviously a misrepresentation that its a commonly help belief of the left.

    1. Why are you even here? If 9 doesn’t matter (even though it does) then what number will matter? Why try at all? Why not just let things stay the same? If any movement in the right direction is pointless then that’s that. Some people (like Cenk) are trying to make the country better. If all you can do is crap on it then why bother being here at all?

  11. Cenk, I sure hope you’re right about Brent Welder winning, as well as other REAL Progressive candidates.
    I have my whole family voting for Abdul El-Sayed here in Michigan today.
    Even have some elderly Republicans considering him, since they voted for Bernie.

    But NEVER underestimate the corruption & shenanigans of the DNC.
    I would go so far as to say, though not officially allies, they would be HAPPY if the Republicans won across the board. There is no such thing as a “Centrist Dem.” In reality, they are Moderate Republicans.

    The Resistance is NOT about beating Trump or Republicans.
    It’s about them being seen as the “Reasonable Right” by Big Donors.

      2. What % of the videos honestly have something like this happen? 2-5% at most? They upload a lot of content, and it’s a lot harder than people think. If you can do it better than do it. In the meantime kindly pointing out issues is fine, being a jackass is not.

What everyone is missing is that Trump did receive the opposition research from the Russians, but at that meeting I believe the Russians told them that (If we give it directly to the campaign and it gets out then the campaign would be guilty of a crime, so the Russians told them that they would give it to them through a 3rd party like wikileaks to release that info so it could not be traced back to Trump) That is what will come out making Trump guilty of conspiracy. Trump may be a Traitor and a ignorant fool, but the Russian Secret Service is not. This is what everyone is missing, that is the link that will be brought out by The Special Counsel. Then they will have him for High crimes and misdemeanors. The Russians knew they had The Trump campaign as soon as they took the meeting, no need to give them the info directly. What do you guys think? on the right track or not?

  14. Also, I mentioned below in a reply about things I wish would have been covered [instead of the SBC show recaps], but was super sad to see no mention of protest violence from this weekend. If it is after the 55 min mark I missed it due to video cut off- so please correct me if I’m wrong.
    A comrade had a flashbang shot straight towards their head. The flashbang stuck in their helmet, they had serious wounds, and not to mention the questionable actions of the police in Portland during the protests. That person could very well be dead if they had no helmet or a less sturdy helmet.

    2. The TLDR of the last section was that the trump team said they were always honest about the intent of the trump tower meetings with law enforcement, and that it wasnt illegal to change the narrative and lie to the American population.

  17. Not Sasha Cohen stories again. We get it – its funny and embarrassing for right wingers and we can sign up to Showtime if we want to see it. Enough is enough. There is a lot going on that could have been covered.

    2. On the one hand, I kind of agree on the other I find it like the Loser Donald segments. People need to see that this is the state of some of the people in the political system. We need to be confronted with it. It’s also a nice moment in the middle of what is always a week filled with bad news

  19. I love some sacha baron cohen, but we don’t need to recap the show every monday. Yes, the MERICA state senator – already forgot his name – might have been newsworthy. The right are just proving that they are who people think they are. Pointing fingers at right wing stupidity will just make the right champion idiots like project veritas – yes, i’m projecting the false equivalency already. THis isn’t a story until they get debbie wasserman schultz to eat a shit sandwich for 20,000 dollars – (please, please, please).

    1. Um…it’s a light hearted section of really really awful news each week. A lot of people look fwd to that. Guess YOU don’t want that recap but you don’t represent the rest of us that appreciate/need that reprieve. Guess that wasn’t apparent to you…smh. do better.

    2. Especially when there are things like Yemen that need to be discussed in the news. If you want, include this in the 2nd hour if anything.
      Just this weekend was a huge civilian death toll in Yemen due to our assistance of Saudi Arabia’s war.
      Just this weekend more than 100 people have died in the Indonesia/Bali area due to 2 major earthquakes that are seriously devastating.
      The fires ravaging the planet from the Western part of the States to Greece- the climate change consequences, the deaths, the near record breaking stats of some of the Cali fires, etc.

      That is just some of the things that I feel would be better discussed in the news hour. [Obviously my own opinion tho– don;t dive on me for saying it as a representative statement.]
      I get this is fun and is a relief coming into the week, but better suited to Pop Trigger or the 2nd hour. I get TYT doesn’t often cover much beyond politics for the most part, but all that I listed is incredibly linked in our politics, I believe.

      2. You aren’t wrong, but the hosts have said in the past that sometimes for their own mental health it’s important for them to cover things like this that make them laugh. Personally, I’d prefer SIGNIFICANTLY less “Obviously Guilty Loser Idiot Donald” segments and more of what you’ve just listed out. That being said, for my own mental health, if they didn’t include some things like the Baron Cohen stories, I’d likely have slit my wrists in the bathtub a year ago. I can’t even imagine researching the news the way they have to.

      4. Agreed. I had to look up what is going on in Yemen myself and found another story that should have made the top headline for Hour 1 even.

        AP reports that Saudi Arabia has been teaming up with Al Qaeda in Yemen, and has been helping that terror organization to become strong once again. I’m hoping TYT reports on this at some point, but news like this is far more important than SBC making Republicans look like fools, or the silly things that Trump tweets. I’m guessing at least Jimmy Dore will cover it when the time comes on his channel or AP.

      5. Agreed as well, there needs to be more branching out of the news stories as this is the prime source of news for TYT viewers. I get more international stories from WWN on the Friday post games than here. Just substitute one daily Trump or Russia story for an international one and progress from there.
