  1. Brooke shot next to Francesca shot..man..I understand why white people need their imagery to reinforce beauty cliches and racial stereotypes..Without those no one would be head over heels for white beauties.

Fran, you are nice looking gal but please..Brooke is phenomenal, no question about it

  2. And claiming Sanders is more right wing than a right winger based on a single foreign policy issue is the most intellectually lazy attempt at making an argument I’ve ever seen.

  3. Getting into a heated exchange with a constituent does not at all mean that Sanders is more right wing than a literal right wing leader. Advocating for a two state solution does not at all mean he he advocates for one state dominating another. Saying “talk is cheap” and then citing talk as an example of how he’s anti Palestine and right wing is ridiculous.

  4. RE the Nia Wilson “gun” cell phone case. The picture that local news station was cropped deliberately to make it look like she was holding a gun. The original image that she posted on Instagram was a tiled pictured that showed that it was just a phone case.

There’s no tiptoeing around this. Whoever made the decision to run that pic is a racist or somebody who was looking to demonize the victim for clicks/views. The station does not deserve the benefit of the doubt and got off easy IMO. Running that pic should have been a national story.

  5. Giuliani was full of projection. I hope someone splices that interview to make it look like Giuliani is describing himself.
I can’t wait for the day when they’re all arrested for obstruction of justice. It seems like the prosecutors are just letting these criminals bury themselves.

  6. The USA has a major top secret installation in the north of Australia called Pine Gap. It was originally meant to help with the moon program etc but is now used to gather intelligence information for the US government which is probably why Australia knows about Trump’s possible intentions to attack Iran.
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pine_Gap

  7. I love TYT’s deference to the intelligence community. It’s a great way to corral progressives behind democrats and the two-party system. Keep pushing Russiagate!

    1. @38:00 – Cenk “Russians aren’t here to help you.” Good job, Cenk! Now stand by your statement and fire that Russian producer you have. If you don’t, then you’ve obviously been compromised. Komromat.

  8. Francesca has the right intentions but needs to tone it down a bit. Serious issues don’t require an ear to ear smile. It comes off condescending & snarky.

  9. I like seeing Francesca, especially since ‘Newsbroke’ ended. Someone mentioned AJ+. Who cares? It was a comedy. I watched every episode, and it wasn’t a propaganda show. Jimmy Dore guest hosts on RT. I may have issues with him but he’s not on there doing propaganda. Don’t get me wrong, RT (at least the news pages) are major agenda driven, but I don’t think that Larry King, Jesse, Ed Schultz were doing it. It’s a paycheck at the end of the day, just like when Cenk was on MSNBC.

  10. I was so happy when Francesca was like “maybe Brooke and JAyar wanna talk about this”. The whole time Cenk was ranting about Nia’s death I was like …. Cenk man I love you but shut the fuck up, you are on a panel with two black people and you are going on about an issue for black people and you are talking over them and not letting them speak. Sometimes he needs to shh and let people who the issue directly affects talk. And not just Cenk, every person who talks over someone who an issue directly affects needs to stop. If the topic at hand is an issue that affects black people and there are black people in the room, it’s their turn to talk and everyone else’s turn to listen. Even if you are agreeing with them or defending them, shh. Let THEM speak.

    1. Absolutely agreed. I love Cenk’s passion, but sometimes making space for others is more powerful than speaking.
Also, that picture of Nia Wilson with a “gun”-looking cell phone should not have been posted by a news outlet. Irrelevant and indefensible.

    2. Exactly! Cenk’s greatest strengths became his greatest weaknesses on that panel. He wanted to win the argument with Francesca and prove that he is ‘fair’. He powers through segments and fills airtime in a way that literally built a network. If Cenk didn’t have the skills to talk through things and fill time, I doubt TYT would exist, yet on this particular day, on this particular panel, it came across as the white guy breaking down racial issues, without listening to those beside him. He became the stereotypical, white know-it-all. We all know Cenk is better than that. To me, it was obvious that Cenk got caught up in winning an argument with Francesca, and in his quest to ‘be fair’ he couldn’t let it go fast enough. Cenk is fair, he is sensitive to the issues, he is a genius, and once in a while he mows through 15 minutes of time that could’ve gone to other more qualified panelists.

  11. I’m having trouble with something and I hope you guys can help me. How can I tell John Bolton from Wilford Brimley? Because I can really see John Bolton in my head selling diabetes testing supplies from Liberty Medical (is that just me?)….

Anywho, Francesca Linguine was pretty good this hour, did TYT hire her? I like her ok but I’m worried about her working for AJ+ considering that Qatar owns AJ and does a lot of propaganda. Plus TYT has a lot of these folks now who have what I think of as “divided loyalties”. When I like someone on TYT I want to be able to trust them and just accept what they tell me, period, but I can’t do that when I know some of their paychecks come from somewhere else. Is that just me (seriously)?

As to supporting the troops, we don’t even have a new confirmed Secretary of The Veterans Administration yet! How about we support the troops we’ve ALREADY SENT to war (our veterans) before we send anymore young people to the middle east to die for Trump’s pointless and hopeless quest to make us think he has a huge penis?! Anyone with me?!

  12. I am always so happy when I get to see Brooke. LOL and I’m such a damn nerd because I was clapping with glee to see Francesca on. So good to see Jayar as well. Yay for Power Panels.

  13. Who here thinks that russia is the aggressor in this cold war. and who here also took issue with u saying that if the gop allow russian interference then it will open the flood gates to foreign agents, like israel and saudi arabia haven’t been doing it for years.

    1. Me and everyone with a sense and had read history, even that written by Russian/Soviet historians.

As for election intervention, Saudi Arabia uses lobbyists and hedges its bets and often times fails miserably. Israel has more success because even Bernie Sanders is more right wing than Netanyahu.

      1. “Saudi Arabia uses lobbyists and hedges its bets and often times fails miserably.”
I don’t know, they don’t seem to be hurting too bad. After they PAID the Clinton Foundation, Sec. of State Hillary hooked them up pretty well. And of course, there’s the fact that the US is Saudi Arabia’s Brute Squad. I think they’ve done pretty well.

“Bernie is more right wing than Netanyahu.”
Umm…WTF? Bernie is MORE right wing than the dude who drew a cartoon bomb and used it as a “learning tool” at the UN. Bernie is more right wing than the dude who okays target practice on Palestinians armed with rocks.

            1. Talk is cheap, it is actions that we look for.

Bernie can talk all he wants but when he goes ballistic against a constituent for the crime of criticizing a fucking foreign country and not changing a single vote after that despite changing some of his rhetoric is not encouraging.

  14. Yes please Canada stay out of another meaningless war again! Stay out of it more then we did Vietnam (a small number of Canadian soldiers voluntarily participated) and Iraq (Canada freed up American soldiers in Afghanistan by sending thousands more troops there, as well as protecting American ships in the Persian Gulf with our Naval ships)

  15. Great panel! I usually struggle to make any comment short in any forum, but that covers everything.

  16. Cool new co-host! Super stimulating discussions today. Glad TYT continues to attract great new talent!

  17. MEK are hated inside Iran because of their cruelty and terrorism. They are hardliners worse than the Islamic Republic. The people of Iran hate them more than they hate the mullahs. But what does America always do? Establish hardline governments in the middle east. For some reason it seems to serve our interests.

    1. The MEK are a bizarre terrorist cult. They ran their operations out of Iraq under Saddam. We took over their camp (Camp Ashraf) in 2003 during the invasion. We initially disarmed them and then had to end up protecting them from local Iraqis until the terrorist designation was lifted as detailed in the story.

    1. C’mon man, don’t be a rude ass and finish with “just saying.” And you tried so hard to spell hemeroid right. Jesus, no one is even on these comments, grow up.

  18. Would be great if Francesa could be on the main segment more often. I like her humor and witty analysis

  19. LOL I watch the late night shows and like Stephen Colbert’s and Trevor Noah’s impression of trump, but Francesca’s was great. Definitely up there with theirs. You do know, you’ll have to do that all the time now, or it just won’t be as good. ?

    1. Agreed. And I feel like everyone needs to always do a Trump impression when reading his stupid tweets from now on. At least that will make them a little less unbearable.
