  1. Gillibrand did her homework and spoke well at the OZY fest but Its hard to trust her until we see some concrete progressive actions like introducing legislation or backing 2018 candidates that share the same vision of getting money out of politics and medicare for all, or most importantly doing something about the planet burning up.

As for Ana getting upset about the rolling stone reporter.. Who’s ever even heard of that person?? Why care about what some random hack writes? because I read that piece and it was a hack job, it’s clear that no real thought was put into writing it.

  2. Ana for president, she’d destroy the opposition. to be fair to her, norquist is a liberal: tax cuts, parasitic elite and warfare on the people. You guys are closer to social dems. Plus you guys should be aware, everybody’s radicalized and hyper partisan, you adhere to the doctrine or you’re suspect of treachery, since bernie was betrayed everyones become less forgiving or understanding.

  3. The right wing Trump base hates Jews because of jealousy. Jews might be 2% of the population but control a very large percentage of powerful positions way out of proportion to their population. They value education and have thrived in America. People sometimes hate people they think have done better than them.

  4. This was one of the best post games I’ve ever seen – and I’ve been watching religiously for nearly three years. No joke, I have watched 99%+ of every main show, hour 1, hour 2, and postgames, aside from a couple Friday shows. This post game touches on so many issues in under thirty minutes and summarizes the humbler beginnings of TYT’s past and highlights our hopes for the future of our country. I really think this postgame could be used, mostly unedited, as a means of netting new members. The energy of this video is so overwhelmingly positive. Steve, Cenk, Malcolm, seriously consider it!!

And Ana, just keep doing what you’re doing. I can see what Cenk sees in you. You’re very likely a rising star, already a shining one, but one to shine above all the rest. One day at a time, just like you’ve always done. And keep doing your homework for us and destroying all those that stand in your way. ;)

  5. I love watching young women learn more of the history of the ways that society has tried to control them. Several decades ago, one of the best courses I took in college was a history of women course – completely rocked my world back then. Knowing that history while trying to process the assault we are under nowadays is so important.

Keep up the great work Ana. Keep learning and speaking out.

  6. Great shows today! Love the positive glow. Deep – deep – deep – deep – deep BLUE sunami at hand. Dear GOP…. notice how the water’s going out at the moment? Just stand RIGHT there.

  7. How is Ana still such a newb when it comes to politics? OH MY GOD, BREAKING NEWS EVERYONE. Politicians don’t care about abortion at all, they just use it as a wedge issue!

Also there is an argument to be made for not debating certain people. It’s not about shutting anyone up or throwing a temper tantrum but rather recognizing that it might be entirely futile at best and just makes people more entrenched at worst. Obviously, Cenk and Ana made the arguments for the other side as well and those are just as valid. I just wanted to point out the reasoning behind the other side of the argument since it was dismissed here.

    1. You can’t say that and ask why they won’t debate justice democrats. Otherwise you look like a libtard.

Don’t exclude if you don’t want to be excluded.

  8. Gillibrand can talk like she’s seen the light all she wants. Don’t believe her.
She’s playing the Obama game. “Look at me! I want Single-Payer! I’m progressive now, so everyone come & make me president!” Not buying it.

The ONLY way I will believe Gillibrand’s new-found progressivism is if she SUPPORTS Bernie Sanders, ala Tulsi Gabbard. Otherwise, it’s just pretty words and she’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
She may be a smart campaigner , but she’s not a progressive.

  9. Time for the Republicans to go the way of the Whig Party. Ironic that what started as a abolition party ended with support from the KKK.

    1. Ryan~ Good point! But I would add one more evolution…

      Whigs to Republican-Abolitionists to Republican-KKK to DNC-Clintoncrats.

If the Republican Party survives, they will be populated with Blue Dogs & Clintoncrats.
DNC-Dems are essentially Pro-choice Republicans who are okay with Gay Marriage anyway, so it wouldn’t be that much of a stretch. Clintoncrats are very Pro-War & Pro-Corporate.

  10. When did anyone say an abortion was like getting your nails done, the point was that it is used as a control mechanism of women and their sexual freedom, and that originally it wasn’t such a controversial issue till religious groups got involved.

    1. Sam, my concern is that some who say it is 100% and ONLY a women’s freedom issue miss the obvious fact that it also involves another potential person too. This can really turn off some voters to progressive candidates, who otherwise could be very sympathetic to progressive economic issues–which are the issues that I believe are really important and what can win these voters. So although I think it’s very important to keep abortion legal, I’m just saying we could help our cause of keeping it legal `by showing at least some respect to those who take a more nuanced view.

      1. No you are making a strawman argument. No one takes the issue of abortion lightly this is not a point you need to make. Making it and implying that women don’t even care when they get an abortion (or have the potential to not care) is an attack on women and based in the bs morality arguments that anti-choice people make. You may not mean to do it but it’s what you are doing.

Women don’t need your help to understand how serious the choice is and we don’t need you policing how seriously we take that choice.

  11. Dear ANA–
Your most important quality is honesty– Being real will guarantee that you will be attacked by people on the right– but also sometimes fiercely from the left too. PLEASE don’t become intimidated to think you have to become a shill for the left– some on the crazy left/progressive side will expect you to always follow their exact party line. Of course listen to criticism, but also more importantly you should recognize that such criticism is quite possibly a manifestation of your strength–not weakness. Bernie Sanders probably is our great example.

AND- I want to relate this to the abortion issue issue Cenk talked about–I thought he maybe was a bit too much enthusiastic and a bit one sided. There should be some caution on this issue — I absolutely believe that it should remain to be legal to get an abortion– BUT– I don’t think getting an abortion is of no more consequence than getting fingernails clipped–like some women–and men– seem to claim they believe. It’s a serious issue–not a simple “yes yes of course.” I think there are a lot of people (like me) in the middle who want to keep it legal, but get really uneasy when they hear crazy over the top arguments from gung ho pro choice people . This is an example to illustrate what I was trying to say in the first paragraph.

I ‘m mentioning this because I detected a hint that you felt Cenk was just VERY slightly over the top on this one.

I’ve got great confidence that you will be able stay on a path that isn’t always the most comfortable.
