  1. I only wish it were true that Cenk would do as he says here, and stop trying to convince Trump voters. Unfortunately, talking to Trump voters seems to be Cenk’s only go-to move. He has no interest in the rest of us.

    Here’s why Cenk’s fixation on talking to Trump voters is such a losing move — it only re-affirms why they are glad they voted for Trump. No matter how else Trump may be falling short, he continues to “make liberals cry” and THAT trumps everything else.

    As long as liberals are still crying about Trump, Trump voters feel vindicated.

    If you want to deflate the Trump Train, stop fixating on him, and instead follow the example of the brilliant Brand New Congress candidate, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, who says we have more important things to do than react to tweets. She can talk for an hour straight without ever mentioning the word Trump.

  2. Spoiler alert, this will also roll off of trump’s back like a damn duck. Every scandal that you have expected to crash him since the beginning of the primary, what makes this different? The only factor is when supporting him is no longer beneficial to republicans. He is a blank check for them to carry out their agenda and stamp his name on it afterward. Any time not spent making our case is time wasted, left is best.

    1. I just been thinking about what you said. I’m not sure if a TYT blackout of Trump would be particularly effective. It’s a noble idea, but Rebel Headquarters is an entire show dedicated to just highlighting progressive causes and candidates.

    1. If you’re referring to the excellent point Ben made around minute 17:50 — I am with you. Only a tiny tiny percentage of Trump voters are move-able, yet there are Dem candidates stupid enough to invest all their energy on that infinitely small pool of voters, instead of pushing PROGRESSIVE POLICIES that would inspire the rest of America to vote for them.

  6. In regards to yesterday’s CNN story: I am incredibly worried about Joe Biden defeating Bernie Sanders. I think he is the only person who has a chance at defeating Bernie (according to the polls), and in most polls I saw, Biden is beating Sanders. I am very, very worried.

      1. Why do you donate $5-10 a month to TYT? You do realize they don’t spread the establishment propaganda you believe in (or don’t believe in, if you are just a progressive troll), right? Or do you just play devils, advocate? You do realize that you will likely only be able to “trigger” a few people, right?

    2. Bernie did incredibly in the Midwest, so there isn’t a chance in hell he won’t win Iowa this time around. I also think Kamala Harris and Joe Biden will split the establishment-lite vote. I wouldn’t worry too much.

      1. I really hope the establishment vote is split, but Biden will get a lot of momentum due to the fact that most of us feel a sense of nostalgia for Obama, but hopefully Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, and whoever else runs can override that. However, you also need to consider Elizabeth Warren fucking it all up and splitting the Progressive vote.

        By the way, what’s with the troll in the comment above?

        1. The troll is very much like Trump, just likes to make noise and hopes to see their name in print or to get some kind of reaction. I’m guessing people like that are dead inside and they poke at others in order to feel not so dead. My solution, since there is no mute feature, is to skip over whatever anti-progressive bullshit the troll is spewing and move on to the next comment.

          Btw, LOVE your screen name! Bernie only gets stronger!!

Reading through some of these comments, I couldn’t help but address one thing “white privilege.” (Queue the eyerolls) There are currently people in this country who have had their children kidnapped, there are people in this country who have had their entire families murdered, there are people in this country who are tortured and kept in solitary confinement all by people with an American flag on their arms and an American flag flying over there prisons and encampments do these people still need to bow down and respect the American flag? Are their messages being lost? I don’t think you’re the intended target of their message. You may, just be a part of the problem. When these prisons finally do burn and you’re running around saving all the American flags explaining to everyone how they’re disrespecting it and the message isn’t getting through (that will be cute!)

  9. Lov u guys. Big day for me, went to the Brent Welder gathering and got to see my Bernie and AOC (<3). Wore my TYT hat and got many positive comments and inquiries. Came home on a high and as strapped for funds I ignored it and became a member to TYT. Have been struggling with youtube non-member for yrs and just had to join. have been wanting to join for a LONG time, now I am here and want to thank you all for what u do to bring the honest open personal input to my life as always. now I need good internet.   10. Great panel! Regarding Trump’s performance at the Summit, there is another explanation: Yes, Trump looked weak. When Trump is side-by side with his boss, he cannot appear stronger than him. Alpha male Putin and beta mole Trump. His “strength” was total cowardice.

  12. When you burn the flag it completely takes over the story. It’s the worst way to protest and I hate people that do it. Not because I object to burning the flag so much, but because along with the flag they have destroyed their point completely. Shame

  13. In regards to Trumps support for Putin’s assistance with investigation: What if it was Trump who suggested it to Putin?

    When Trump was running his hotels in Atlantic City into the ground, he hand received some kind of payment that was not allowed under NJ casino regulations. There were witnesses. The incident was reported to the NJ casino commission. When nothing came of the reporting of a clear violation, the commission head was asked what happened. He said they asked Trump if it happened, he said the allegation was not true, and the case was dismissed. The witness was never asked to testify!
