    I’m sure Ben has corrected Cenk on this, but Cenk will never let go of a piece of misinformation once he has it cemented inside his head. The movie in question, wherein Russia pre-indoctrinated an American to become a puppet in office, was THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE.

    Now, even the TYT graphics dept has it wrong.

      1. That actually does make sense. Cenk said it multiple different ways for the first six months he took stabs at this concept, which led me to believe he simply could not remember “manchurian.” But perhaps there was deliberate thought behind settling on “Siberian” instead. I’ll buy that.

    2. I’ve given this phenomenon a lot of deep and heavy thought over the past year. And without finding any logical reason for Cenk to make this mistake over and over, I’m going to be illogical and pretend that Cenk is making a play on words, changing Manchurian to Siberian…because in this case, it’s just Russia.

      I know my liberal bias is showing, but I just can’t accept that Cenk is just as cement-headed as you’ve described.

I could be wrong but I think it is meant as a pun on the Manchurian Candidate because in the original movie the soldiers were brainwashed in Manchuria in Communist China as part of a pro-Communist plot (which by extension involved Soviet Russia). Therefore, since this is more of a pro-Russia situation rather than pro-Communist, he plugs in Siberia (a Federal District of Russia) instead. At least that is how I took it.

  5. Regarding the Trump/Russia collusion of 2016 election why dont you guys do more on voter suppression which i believe played a far more significant role then Russia’s alleged interference.

    Please interview Greg Pallast author of “The Best Democracy Money Van Buy ” or invite him as a guest on the power panel.

    He exlpains how purging voter rolls and eliminating polling stations played a significant role in turning the tide in Trump’s favor. Of course having a weak candidate like Hillary Clinton who stole the nomination from Bernie Sanders didn’t help

    1. I’ve read Pallast’s stuff and you are entirely correct. Russian interference? maybe 1% impact, at most. Voter suppression and rigging (by both major parties, the Dems doing most of their dirty work during the primaries) — 99% impact.

      But hey — Russia!

      1. Actually, we don’t know what Russia’s impact might be, or anyone else’s, because DHS did not check whether or not any votes were flipped. When people say “there is no evidence,” that’s because they did not look.

      2. I’m still waiting for someone to tell me the purpose of these “town halls” which Cenk even said was underground with lots of empty seats and no one in power would probably ever see it. Ok then, what’s the point? 2.5 years before the presidential election that I assume Bernie would be running in. This is Bernie’s problem – he’s ALL TALK. He’s an idea man. He’s a “dreamer” (not in the DACA sense). As of 2016, after being in office for over a deacde in the US Senate, he’d introduced 367 bills of which THREE (3) passed and were signed into law. TWO of those three bills were simply ceremonial that renamed post offices in honor of people. Bernie Sanders is selling you guys the moon and he won’t be able to deliver. I’m being REALISTIC here. Dreams are great, but a long life has taught me dreams seldom or never come true. Would he be better than Trump? Absolutely, but then a ficus would be better than Trump. You guys have passion and energy, I get that, and that’s awesome, but you must temper your expectations with some pragmatism if you don’t want to be disappointed again (and I don’t want you to be disappointed)!

        1. It is a tired and weak right-wing talking point about Bernie’s introduction of bills, etc. What that myopically limited point of view ignores are the amendments he has contributed. His colleagues were so impressed when he was in the House they dubbed him “The Amendment King.” The language that becomes law INCLUDES amendments. Let that sink in. He passed progressive measures during a time the House was controlled by Republicans. That is an important fact that your ignorant conclusion about Bernie’s role in Congress excludes from consideration.

Even if I stipulate that everything you say is true and he’s “the amendment king”, The Presidency of The United States of America is a position for a LEADER, not a follower, correct?

      1. Actually I’d like TYT to keep me informed. Also, the show has 2 hours for a reason – there is too much to cover well in just 1 hour (especially in a huge Monday “news dump” day). By focusing it’s whole second hour on income inequality which we’ve already had thoroughly explained to us day after day on TYT, they kept me LESS informed in all the other issues they chose not to cover (for an event even Cenk says no one will probably even see, save by TYT members).

  15. Whatever Putin has on dotard, it’s much more serious than a pee pee tape. It involves years and years of large sums of money and a death threat. And if there is a tape involved, I don’t think dotard would care about it if it were only hookers peeing on him. It’s got to be more serious like PUTIN HIMSELF peeing on dotard or shooting his “mojo” in his mouth. That, I think he’d be scared of getting out. Not hookers.

    1. It’s money laundering. T and P may honestky never have met before this. Russian money is more state scrutinized than ours, so ALL of the oligarchs clean or dirty, report to the head folks, Putin included. All of T’s backhanded real estate deals for Russian mafia are catalogued by the kremlin. Tax returns? Nuh…that’s nothing. And the pee tape is a fun caprice, but also not it.
      It’s all about koney laundering for the Russian mafia in return for loans and real estate deals.

  17. Is there a way to see the town hall coverage? I was watching live and after the first hour, the show reverted to last Friday’s video.

        1. UrsaMinor, take a look at the last part of both URLs.: /live/ and /memberslive/. The web address should be set-up so that their web administrator can identify what it links to for troubleshooting purposes. It also helps the web programmers if the addresses are meaningful in some way. The second URL would link to a page that is accessible by members, which would require login access to see the page. It is possible that they could both link to the same page, which could indicate a naming-convention change that was not thoroughly implemented. It could also indicate simply some sloppy web page setup.
