  1. So WAY late to the party but thank you Ana for bringing up that movie. I watched The Devil Wears Prada again recently and not only is her boyfriend annoying but so are her friends. They are all willing to take advantage of her having the job but then bash her the second she puts the job above anything

  2. Big fan from Mexico here. Our country is huge, you guys have to come to places that are not Cabo, Cancun, Acapulco… none of those cheesy touristy areas. Come to Guanajuato, Tepoztlan, San Miguel de Allende, Real de Catorce, Huasca de Ocampo, Cuetzalan, etc. :-)

  3. As a man, or even as an individual, i do not like expectations foisted on me and i don’t like being manipulated into situations to jump through hoops. It will do the very opposite of the intended effect that is expected of me. i resist.

That being said, if and when I’m inspired to share my life and love with a woman, i would defend her to my own death. when the time called for it, i would be her soldier. Hopefully, or lives would be more about enjoying each others company, contributing to a better world, and being the kind of lovers that people have written about. yeah.

  4. 2 little remarks

Cenk’s story is lovely, of course, because it works out…
…I can’t remember Ana feeling the same way about guys in Spain talking like they already agreed to…

Cenk is saying it’s not contradictory to be confident and respect other people or that confidence is not the same as being bad … but then he himself contradicts that confidence/strength with “being too nice”?!

Sorry, but I still think the conversation has to dig a little deeper and btw,
I still think the majority/minority debate esp if it comes across as “women are like” or “men are like” is problematic, because it does keep alive toxic stereotypes “as a side effect” and every human being should be able to get happy how they wanna get happy, wether they’re main stream or “fringe”, they shouldn’t feel pressure to be something they’re not and who knows what will be “the norm” in the future if you just allow for IDIC…

    1. I am a Tyt subscriber and I want you to be my book agent. It’s about how Tyt have been feeding the troll instead of talking to him like the child that he is. This poor Trump needs to become Donald. You see, he forgets his way. And, you Anna, you are the true saviour, you are Jesus telling him that if he doesn’t brush his teeth he won’t have any Christmas presents. You and Tyt was the only one that believed in him all along. You have to tell him that he just lost his way.

Tyt needs to remind them about the First rule of the internet: Don’t feel the Troll. If you feed the Troll, he will be very mad and he will never want to brush his teeth, no matter how well you tell him why he should do it.

Instead, I want you to use my book to tell him that he needs to follow the Golden rule of all religion: Do not do to others what you do not want others to do unto you.
If we don’t do it, all of us, even the 1% will go to hell. Both if we make amend for our sin and
Social democracy is about giving everyone a cake that everyone can enjoy. Then, we all get to have a birthday party and celebrate by putting as much icing on the cake as we want. That’s what the paradise was along. It was up there in Canada. And, what down there: communism! That why Jesus made this ultimate sacrifice, to warn of about the future. And, help us not end-up in the wasteland climate change could make of earth.
So, please help this child psychologist from Canada save the world and publish her first book and put a cheery on all of our cake!

  5. Danny Trejo used to rob poker games. I forget which podcast it was, but he talked about getting tips, back in the early 60’s about when and where a poker game was happening. He and a cohort would kick the door down and take the money at gunpoint. The good old days in LA. Anyway, Danny Trejo probably knows about those suitcases.

  6. There is a beef lobby and they sued Oprah for saying she wasn’t going to eat hamburgers any more. So that’s what happens when you have a lobby for beef.

If you are a fatty, all inclusive sounds like a great idea.

Doesn’t Ana complain when her husband plays basketball? Let him live his life!

    1. The beef lobby’s lawsuit against Oprah is how we “got” Dr. Phil — he was a consultant (I think in choosing the jury) and Oprah was so impressed by his outlook, she gave him his own show. So, as if heart disease & c. wasn’t bad enough, we also got Dr. Phil. Thanks a lot, beef lobby!

      1. LOL, unintended consequences! I think the beef lobby also shut down “meatless Mondays” for the FDA. It wasn’t even a public suggestion, just something internal to their group. They are the worst.

        1. Shut down a random hashtag on the internet that is still doing just fine?

Look lobbies are evil in general but come on.

    2. She has said many many times that she USED to get mad at him for playing basketball but then realized it wasn’t fair and needed to let him live his life. But go off I guess

  7. Cenk story of getting with his wife reminds me of my father with my now bonus mother about 7 or 8 years ago. He didn’t get his first date till a year later, she called him by his brother name when she called for the date. Finally during the date my dad had to ask her to pull over so he could throw up in front of a college frat house. As he was throwing up a drunk college kid came out yelling “Hell yeah man! I just did that in the backyard!” It’s been true comedic love ever since!

    1. Welcome to the club!

But remember the 1st rule of the club: you do not talk about the club.

(Unless you’re Cenk, fishing for new members. Of cooourse!)

    1. The entire TYT show used to be this raw and honest, but they’ve had to filter themselves due to trolls.

  8. Man, I thought you were going to say you went to see AMLO. :-) That would have been awesome.

    1. Yes, we need a scorecard to keep track. Like what shows “allow” cussing — and why NOT?? “Independent and free media”???

      1. The level of immaturity that I see from members freaking out over nothing in the content changing other than they use curse words or not. I cuss like a sailor but you guys need to grow the fuck up

  9. Ana, I don’t think that’s the point that people on the left are trying to make about dating and race. Having a slight preference is ok but where I see the problem is, is when people use that language to mean that they will not date people of certain ethnicities which I think is racist. It happens more often than you think, especially with dating apps where they will say (NO BLACKS LATINOS ETC). Unfortunately, as is in my case, when you’re a minority with a middle class education, the percentage of your peers who are white or asian (who are the most discriminatory) increase dramatically and so exclusion based on ethnicity can really negatively impact the quality of your social life.

    1. I think it’s racist if you assume the person you are dating is going to be a certain way because of their race. Basically, stereotyping them. If you are just turned on by a certain race then it’s like being turned on by big butts or strong forearms or whatever. No big deal in that case.
