      Very astute comment. We as a nation by the complicit silence betokening agreement of the Republicans they have normalized delusion and deliberate stupidity as well as racial bigotry. His entire world view and hate rhetoric inspires the weak minded to perform and copycat crimes that embody hate. He knows and feeds on his unaccountability and will seal it off if successful with the Cavanagh appointment. All is not lost. If the demos are successful in 2020, they can pack the high court as did FDR. Normalizing is the equivalent of fatal dumming down that can demolish our democracy.

    2. I worked as a local hire teacher for children and the GI’s in Germany in the late 70’s. I can tell you there are many towns with Army bases and the infrastructure the comes with the bases really affect the local atmosphere. The volunteer army had just ended when I was there and it was noticeable to the German population that there was a change in the type of recruit.

      But yes, the military heavy vehicles rumble along the autobahns and side roads. The military personnel make use of the efficient train and bus systems, and Germans have all learned English in the schools so no-one usually bothers to learn German. The German schools have high standards , respect their teachers, and provide trade education as well as free university so it is an educated populace. Since many recruits join overwhelmingly to be able to pay for college, it’s ironic they find themselves in a location where had they been born in Germany would not have needed to join the army to attend college.

  7. I’ve got a great idea how to track the immigrant children with the parents: We tattoo a number on each one of them so we can match them up later; we could also go with a bar code. And we could make it cost less money if we put as many immigrants as possible into the train cars, let’s say cattle cars because we can pack more in that way. They’ll need to rest after all that so we’ll have to make a CAMP or something for them. We should give them all free showers when they get their too so we can stay hygienic. What do you think guys?

According to my idiotic, republican dad (sorry not sorry), the “illegals” claim asylum only to use it as a loophole to get into the country, and aren’t really running away from anything terrible. Ironically he said to me a couple of weeks ago, “I bet 90% of them don’t show up to their trials after they’re released”. Oh wait… it’s actually the opposite. As the powers of good threaten the powers of evil, evil rally’s it’s minions to circle around for the purpose of repelling the progress of good. This explains the appointment of Kavanaugh, along with the timing. Evil, it appears, is winning big now. Rest assured, good will some day take the place of today’s evil influences. But, what horror’s must we endure until then?

  21. Please prep for your stories and use the correct terms. No one agreed to spend 2% of their GDP “for NATO”. They agreed to increase defense spending to 2% of the GDP. The real question is anyone in NATO forcing the US to spend 3.1% of its GDP? Or are Defense Contractor Lobbyists doing that? Having strong opinions doesn’t matter if you don’t prep for a story.

    1. I was wondering about that as well. I wait until the wife gets home to watch it commercial-free. Except recently the show isn’t available for members until around 7-8pm MST. And YT is unwatchable, stops in middle of playlists, etc. Last time this happened, people were on vacation I think. Hopefully it’s only temporary.
