I have not read this book, so obviously I don’t know for sure, but it sounds very over the top. I’m a big fan of speculative fiction and alternate history, and I feel like those are always best when they stay believable. The idea of trump taking over as an authoritarian dictator and ruling over the US as a theocratic corporatocracy is believable, but enslaving two thirds of the population and executing large numbers of them in order to harvest blood and organs is less believable. Similarly, the west coast states seceding, and fighting against the fascist remains of America is believable, but not so much the force fields, telepathy, and “oneness genes”. I’d be more interested if it didn’t sound so cartoonish.
