  2. Argentina vs Brasil hatred!!!!
    In the beginning the gods created Uruguay the titan kronos of futbol. And they saw it was good. They won both Olympics games in the 20s . Futbol was ran by FIFA. FIFA saw how great futbol did in the olympics, so they said lets make a world cup. Too take place in Uruguay, in honor of the 2 time world champs. The final was Uruguay vs Argentina. Uruguay won.
    This was devastating for the gauchos. They felt that they were the best in the world, but needed the cup too show it.
    FIFA has the next world cup in Europe with the deal that after it would come back too South America. But FIFA broke its promis and had it in Europe again. Argentina felt that they earned the right too be host and champions. All South American country’s boycotted the world cup in 38 as protest. Except Brasil.
    The hate begins.
    Brasil just spit in the face on all conmbol members. But for Argentina it was a declaration of war. Then WW2 came and went.
    The world cup came back in 1950. The final Brasil vs Uruguay. The old titan vs the new gods. This was in Brasil in the Maracana stadium. Brasil was the uncrowned champion. The game was only a formality. First half ended with Brasil up. Second half ended with Uruguay world cup champions. Kronos said you not taking my balls.
    Brasil was so bad that reports of mass suicide reach all countrys in South American. But Argentina celebrated as if they won the world cup. And rubbed it in Brasil face.
    So 2 countrys that only had hate for each other and both believed that they were the best futbol nation in the world, began a race to prove it, by winning World Cup.
    Let the war games begin!

  4. My mom is Argentinian, and apparently, Argentinians hate Brazil in soccer (no idea why). I feel like that is why everyone at the Argentinian restaurant was rooting for Mexico.

  5. I was raised Republican myself and can still speak it when necessary. Though I am bi-lingual that way, in truth, I am in many ways more comfortable speaking the Republican of my family youth (sixties and seventies) than I am with (as Cenk calls them) libby-libs. Libby-lib language grates on my nerves like nails on a chalkboard.

    FDR said the banksters hated him, and he “welcomes their hatred.” Damn straight.

    This is why I am so excited about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She speaks with strength and power. So does Bernie. I have zero patience for the “moderate white liberal” who triangulates everything and, above all, seeks to be polite and cultivate the approval of authority figures in the DNC. Bleh.

    Maxine Waters is another hero. So tired of the “Must not offend!” crowd. People who are afraid to offend will never make change happen.

      Witness his claim last week that Ghandhi would rather have fought the British with guns, but since they took all the guns away, all he had left was non-violence, so that’s what he went with.

      That happens to be a right-wing trope currently making the fake-news rounds. And Cenk repeated it like it was gospel. Not drunk. Just way to willing to repeat crap he read on the internet machine, without fact-checking it first.

          Cenk made a big deal this week about how, “unlike idiots on the right,” he can spot fake news a mile away and would never make the mistake of repeating it.

          If only that were true. His repeat of the Ghandhi-preferred-guns right-wing wet dream fairy tale proves the opposite.

  7. It was an Argentinian bar. Of course people weren’t rooting for Brazil, haha. As a Brazilian I’d be scared of going there haha. But if you’re in Massachusetts where there are a lot of Brazilians you go to a bar and folks will be rooting for Brazil. VAI Brasil!!! ⚽ ??

  12. If FDR had died his VP was Henry Wallace who was AWESOME! More left than FDR. He had the VP stolen from him because he was too left for the establishment and in FDR’s last term we got Truman who became president when FDR died and Truman dropped the bombs. So your facts are wrong. Who knows maybe we would have been better off with Wallace? Likely FDR, even though his VP was more left, was still better since he got stuff done and who knows if Wallace would have. You should know who Wallace was though Cenk.

    1. You are probably right, based on a quick google, but that is not the way I heard it and maybe Cenk heard it from some similar place. What I heard was that Wallace didn’t support FDR’s agenda but Truman did.

    2. Libby, you may have a point except you are off on your dates. At the time of the assassination attempt (1933), FDR’s VP was John Garner, someone who was actually opposed to a number of New Deal policies and the Democratic establishment convinced Garner to run against FDR when he went for a third term. Thus he was replaced with Wallace, who was to the left of FDR.

      1. Further, Wallace was pushed out by Democratic conservatives in the 1944 nominations. If Wallace had become president instead of Truman, things also would have been greatly different around the world.

        FDR was a human of unique strength, courage and intelligence. He also had the gift of a wife/partner, Eleanor, who was a human of unique strength, courage and intelligence. It takes large amounts of those qualities to buck a system as rigged and corrupt as the US was in the 1920’s.

        Today we have Bernie, and new soldiers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Reverend Barber… and all of us. No one can do it alone. Onwards!

  13. cultservatives are so afraid of A.O.C for they know what comes next, we will change the Dem to Progressive Dems and we will undo all their fascist policy’s that Trump has done and when America see’s how their lives improve with us in charge the GOP will no longer be a political power. Cultservatives sold their souls to Trump and there is a price to pay for that I have a question. Why is Ann Coulter such an ugly female?

    1. lou4garcia, it’s hate. In folklore, beauty is love and and ugly is hate. I like the “cultservative” epithet. I’ll start using it. There is another element to why the cultservatives are so afraid. They will have to work much harder. Now, the Dems are complicit. Later, every office will be contested. This may not be a primary fear (accidental pun), but it seems plausible.
