  1. Rubin blocked me on Twitter while he was an employee at TYT after he told me that I should essentially blindly support Israel because they support trans people (I’m trans).

I called him out for that and he blocked me. This was shortly before he departed the company. I had a feeling the little punk wasn’t long for TYT after that.

  2. They also posted today’s (14th of June) audio download in mp3 format . This looks like I have to convert this manually from now on. Sad, baby.

  3. Here’s the way I see the DNC’s decision to stop taking money from fossil fuel companies:

“We hardly get any of our money from fossil fuel companies, but we could get a lot more from renewable energy companies as they grow, and we can make ourselves look good to the crazy leftists without really losing anything or changing what we do.”

One of these things has to be true:

    1. The donations they get have no influence on them and they are giving up significant money for no real reason.

    2. The donations they get have an influence on them and they will continue to do the bidding of all of their other donors, including increasingly renewable energy companies.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather they be in the pocket of renewable energy than fossil fuel, but I’d much rather they only be beholden to the American people.

Also, great to see Mark Thompson on more! He’s one of my favorites. :)

  4. I think i really like Mark personally. But i see people criticizing good hosts like Hannah and rarely being constructive with others, so i’ll just try to make a point. Mark seems like the perfect guy to talk to irl like at a party. But for the show, he’s not the best prepared, he’s very loud and bombastic, (i have to change volume between Ana and Mark) and he makes gaffes often. We all know he means well and is not being intentionally misogynistic or objectifying when saying his “dream” would be to have a show where he’s talking but Ana is in the shot, it’s a faux pas in my opinion. These are just some rambling suggestions, i love Mark. Thanks!

  5. I’m so sick of Mark Thompson, and what is that disgusting outfit he’s wearing?! And why the hat indoors?! Is he horribly bald under that thing? And why is the left getting blamed for so-called “Jewish domination”? I thought that the stereotypical (not real) Jew is supposed to be greedy and covetous, i.e. hate paying taxes which would actually make them part of the FAR RIGHT! If the RIGHT aren’t the ones dominated then why the bending over backwards to move the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem?! The problem is the overly rich first and foremost over the overly religious, IMHO.

  6. The audio download is mp4 instead of mp3 today. Please bring back the older format so I don’t have to convert it. Thank you!

          1. I’m still frustrated and confused about this move away from mp3, but feeling solace knowing I’m not the only one. I haven’t sent in an email to tech support in search of answers, but if enough voice our concerns perhaps they will revert back.

  7. 2 comments…

    1. Ana said genitals and not pussy today after last week saying she wasn’t going to censor it.

    2. When talking about Brett Welder, doesn’t it sound a little like corruption when Ana (and Cenk in the past) bring up that he is a TYT member and so they are going to help him because he has helped them?

    1. 1. For real Ana why you no say pussyyyyyy. Lol she should be ashamed. Maybe she used up her allotment of p-bombs and the sponsors said there whhas nho whay.
      2. If he was a TYT investor who put in a couple million or even a few thousand, then yeah maybe I’d see your point. But no it’s not corruption. Jesus, dude are serious.

      1. Ana is from a semi-conservative background. Maybe she decided to stop saying it. She used to say the n-word but then stopped saying that too.

    2. 1. lmao yeah Ana you made a big deal about not censoring the word Pussy not that long ago. Guess TYT’s investors do have some control over content after all.

      2. I have no problems with either of them pointing out that Brett is a member & because of that they want to support him. It would be a problem if TYT gave Brett a large campaign donation. I question why TYT is throwing him a fundraiser not in the state he’s running in, Kansas, but in LA. What kind of donations are they looking for? If he’s only taking small dollar donations wouldn’t it make more sense to throw the fundraiser in Kansas where his voters are?

  8. Weren’t there some primary elections last night? I didn’t get to watch the live coverage, but was hoping for a recap today.

  9. Good to hear the DNC getting out of fossil fuels. I live at 8,800 feet in Colorado and the accelerating temperatures are truly alarming. We are getting more rain events in the winter (previously unheard of) and just in the past week it has been in the 90’s which is obscene at this elevation. Interestingly it has been just as warm up here as in Denver lately, nearby by 3,500 feet lower. That is a new phenomenon. Historically we have always been at least 10 plus degrees colder but the delta seems to be shrinking.

    1. Yes, my Dad lives in Estes Park and said it was getting brutally hot, or very windy. Here on the east plateau north of Buckley Air Force Base, it is getting intense. It will be interesting to see if the El Nino pattern builds in the Pacific, and how Hurricane season develops out of the western coast of Africa. I have noticed New Mexico is also seeing higher temperatures than back when I lived there. Granted that was a while ago, but living on the rain shadow side of the Sandias with the Rio Grande River bisecting Albuquerque, it could get hot but was typically cooler than out on the west side around Rio Rancho.

  10. I don’t think that Tillemann was bad. What’s the right solution? If an assault rifle is firing at you, your not running out with a can of mace and hoping it will disable them. Or maybe some crazy hero would, but look at how many school shootings had armed officers outside, who waited to rush in. I’m so not blaming those people, life or death is something that no one can criticize unless you stepped up and did it. That’s why the medal of honor is reserved for people who have completely passed on their own life to help others.
Anyway, I’d love to make us Australia or the UK, and restrict guns, but we have 300 million weapons in circulation. We have to do something. If the legislative branch, will do nothing, we need to figure something out.
Twenty-ish years ago, I was a high school coach, in a rust belt state. One of our performers, walked into the principals office with a loaded gun. He was trying to make a point, and we were concerned with “oh he’s suspended and can’t wrestle this week”. Thankfully, nothing bad ever happened, but if it did, I’d feel complacent. The truth is that 75-80% of homes had guns and children started hunting at 12, and so, they could get weapons, easily. I’d love to be a good lefty, and decry the carnage of school shootings. I want strict, background checks, but I’m realistic, that the access to weapons, in a large percentage of the country, is not going to change via background or psychiatric evaluations. Maybe one day we will do something. I hope so. I hope for a better future.

    1. Hope Dave is doing ok. Honest disagreements can mean friends part. We are in a poisonously divisive world right now. Change will come sooner or later, and probably violently. It did in the last century, it will again. Nothing is really all that different from the recent past. We could have a near utopia in this country but it would take people wanting and agreeing upon the foundation of it, the support and up lifting of all people, an equalization that wouldn’t completely removed competition, but would give us all a minimum and a maximum income, offering services for all people and keeping our Constitutional freedoms intact. Maybe model it on Norway, have a democratic structure in industry using worker coops. The only thing that keeps America from being a beacon to the rest of the world is our desire to hold onto traditions and outmoded social concepts that only drag us as a society backwards. A lot of thought when all I wanted to say is “I miss him too.” but it is all relevant to what leads us to such vitriolic polarization.

      1. If you check out his twitter, he is most decidedly not ok, at least mentally. Even his beloved gay rights have fallen by the wayside. Politics isn’t the only thing money corrupts. I too, miss the old Dave Rubin.

        1. Yeah I’ve heard the same about Wes Clark Jr. I love the guy but he’s disappeared and slipped off the rainbow bridge into oblivion. I understand it. I feel badly for the PTSD he must be fighting, and the crooked path through religiosity.I’m not religious but I do like the words of Jesus in the New Testament. I’ve never understood why ‘believers’ can’t just believe and not worry about how God may take what non-believers say. But that is for another rant.
