The amount of projection when powerful people put forth the narrative of lowly people scamming the system is mind boggling. When a handful of people siphon off billions, if not trillions, of dollars from the system, then turn around and point to those struggling to maintain basic necessities, it’s sick.
Agreed!
Yep, the poor get “pull yourself up by your boot-straps” while the wealthy get bailouts.
After listening to Trump for more than a count of five, I have to spend an hour watching Youtube Traffic Accidents and Fails to cheer my ass up.
I hear you. In my case, I have to hit the bottle after too much Trump. His voice and his stupidity gives me intestinal cramps.
You can’t get this kind of coverage anywhere else besides NPR and tabloids. And the Russophobia is the reason I keep coming back! Keep it up, TYT!
It’s more like Putin is playing chess while trump is playing tic tac toe
I was thinking the exact same thing, but I then realized even tic tac toe requires some elements of strategy and anticipation, so I think it is more like Putin is playing chess while trump plays sit in the corner and eat paste
Oh!this guy~ correct, with this added insight…
It’s the BEST paste.
It’s the BIGGEST paste anyone has ever eaten.
I don’t think anyone knows just how BEST & BIGGESTNESS this paste is.
I think Trump has made himself clear.
President Paste-Eater.
Even if raising rent did make people work harder, what’s the benefit if all the extra rewards from their work are taken away?
So Guliani made some pretty damning remarks saying that Kim begged in the letter for the summit to happen and that is why Trump agreed to reinstate it. I think those remarks were a 1000 times more important to cover than the Stormy Daniels case. Once again the TYT production team is out of touch with whats important.

Ana is 100% correct that the POTUS will never be capable of having North Korea concede even half of what Iran conceded. It’s impossible, North Korea has over 50 nuclear weapons and probably completed functional atmospheric reentry vehicles for its ICBMs — or is extremely close to completing them — while Iran didn’t have quite enough enriched uranium, by 2015, to produce one nuclear warhead. But the expectations for bilateral and multilateral negotiations have always been the same: complete denuclearization and the disassembly of their nuclear weapons programs.
Thus, the fact that he reneged on the JCPOA on Iran when that standard was accomplished — preventatively — undeniably tells North Korea that denuclearization cannot be a negotiable outcome, but also that any agreement must come with a guarantee of the Senate’s ratification of it as an official Treaty.
It also means that clear terms must be established for: economic accountability through the major international economic blocs whenever a signatory doesn’t fulfill 100% of their agreed-upon prerequisites (proportional to the discrepancies), and for when North Korea can justifiably reverse course because of actions — or lack thereof — on the part of the U.S., South Korea, and/or Japan.
Lastly, I have to partially disagree with Mark on the details of an agreement being established through Trump and Kim Jong-un’s “henchmen.” As Heads of State, the bargaining range will be established during the first Summit by the participants as they probe how much others will be willing to minimally concede up to where concessions become too burdensome to strike an agreement. Since the POTUS loves the spotlight and obsesses over his approval rating/being liked, Kim Jong-Un and Xi Jinping will definitely try to get him to raise the concessional ceiling — for the United States’ bargaining range — and that range will be what their henchmen will go on when drafting the details.
The more he needs this to succeed, the more concessional it will become on our end, and the less it will be on theirs. As you said, his supporters don’t understand jack sh!t about foreign policy, they’ll just boo any so-called “Moderate Republican” who mentions how terrible a deal it is — if that is what it becomes. Regardless, they would be stupid not to test the limits of what Trump is willing to concede.
Another important possibility is a shorter-term one wherein the final agreement is simply unratifiable because it hinders or endangers U.S. National Security interests, significantly, in the long-term. In such a case, the concessions are probably so great that North Korea will sign the deal with this POTUS knowing that the next President will destroy it — as Trump did with the JCPOA. The overall goal, then, would simply be about the DPRK buying itself more time; the PRC having established the legal, moral, and global justification for lifting all of its sanctions on North Korea; and a planned excuse for fast-tracking their nuclear program after the U.S. reverses course — also allowing them to weaken the U.S.’s international standing, relative to China, for being unreliable and for acting like a Pariah State (even though that is precisely the result they would hope for under such a scenario). If such a case were to occur, it would probably be wise of China to massively increase its development aid to North Korea so that international sanctions, in 6-10 years, can only have a limited impact on the Kim regime’s and the citizenry’s domestic survivability — thus making the international recognition of North Korea as a major nuclear power necessary, and possibly leading to a decreased U.S. presence around and on the Peninsula.
2007, Obama was president??? Nope. That was still “W”.
Why bother discussing the BS of the low-life, predatory jackasses who are running this country into the ground right now. In Puerto Rico over 6,500 people died in storm Maria.
Corporate America which owns and runs this country, is letting the island slowly deteriorate, buy up the properties and turn Puerto Rico into a private luxury resort for the Bezos, Buffett and Gates kind of people. And of course, it all will be done as one nation under god with liberty and justice for all.
I’m afraid you’re correct. It sure stinks like Disaster Capitalism.
Maytha Alhassen still my favorite!! Guilanni used/claimed to be a hero here in NY, I didn’t even realize how absolutely insane he was until he started defending Trump.. It’s so funny.. So sad and funny how messed up people’s lives become in cities, states and now countries.
I hate to say this but I am with Giuliani on the Daniels issue, she is anything but pretty and being a porn star does not add to your credibility.
Not that Trump is better.
Who cares if she is pretty or not? That has nothing to do with crediblity. Also you might not personally find her attractive, I don’t either, but she’s clearly attractive enough to be successful in a career based on looks
Also this notion that because she’s a porn star means she has no credibility is crazy and something they kind of round about address. Giuliani and others have their opinions of those women and their morals but they aren’t reflected in reality. There isn’t massive waves of porn stars falsely accusing men and men consider sleeping with a porn star bragging rights so if anything it gives her more credibility. Affairs with porn stars are common so if you are going just by who is likely to do what a man is more likely to cheat on his wife with a porn star than a porn star is likely to make a false accustation.
Stop giving credit to those that look down on sex workers
Beauty standards have long been used as a means to make average-looking women think they are “ugly” and feel bad about themselves. That’s what supports the “beauty industries” (from cosmetics through body-altering surgeries) and helps those industries make massive profits. Then there are the pathologies that many individuals end up dealing with, such as eating disorders.
I think that Daniels is average to above average in looks; while not a “raving beauty”, she certainly isn’t anything near “ugly”.
Furthermore, where is your evidence that porn stars cannot be honest, credible people?
Are porn stars any less honest or less credible than our elected “whores” in the House and Senate, most of whom are men? Hardly! I’d trust a porn star before I’d trust the majority of politicians in the USA.
Seems that your statement demonstrates the degree to which you have been socialized to accept sexism and misogyny.
Agreed megan and evilkity.
Why is it that people say being a sex worker degrades your credibility when so called respectable professionals like politicians, CEOS, and lawyers (looking at you giuliani) are the ones causing actual lasting damage to thousands, if not millions, of people?
Oh I know why. Its the sex. Grow up a**hole
I subscribe to old school feminism ideals that see prostitution as degrading because it is. Prostitution, and by extension porn and other activities within the “adult entertainment” industry, is not empowering women, it puts them at a vulnerable position in society. Selling one’s body and accepting degrading humiliation for a buck is not empowerment, it is enslavement to the all might dollar and it is an enslavement that will end once a woman hit 30 and a new batch of girls who are younger and more beautiful come along.
How long can a prostitute work exactly, 5 years? 10 years? and then what. She would be an old $10/hour hooker under the control of a pimp because even in countries where prostitution is legal and pimping is punished almost all hookers are controlled by pimps.
In this regards I am reminded by a telling quote from the movie “Crazy, Stupid ,Love” said by the protagonist who is a man: “The war between the sexes is over. We won the second women started doing pole dancing for exercise”.
