Wow, thanks Representative Khanna really appreciate your fighting Trump through action and not Resistance – first time I’ve heard a politician talk about focusing on non-college jobs and service apprenticeships. Most Democrats only talk about retraining folks just for the technology sector. Also, like your stance on public service, lobbyist and need for reform. Well done Nomiki.
Rory1972, you are right: Rep. Khanna, with a few exceptions, talks about non-college jobs. I think he’s very pragmatic and sensible, and looking for things that move America forward. I follow him on Twitter and he’s always putting out good ideas. He is the only member of Congress besides Sen. Sanders that is aware of what the Poor People’s Campaign is trying to do.
On a side note, if for whatever reason Senator Sanders decides not to run in 2020, I hope Rep. Khanna might try to run. He’s policies align very well with Sanders, he’s articulate, and he’s young (41 yrs. old). In fact, Sanders and Khanna share a respect for FDR. I see that Khanna is like FDR in that we have to try SOMETHING to get our country moving in a more “perfect union” and towards the future. Anyway, just putting that out there….:-)
