Quit throwing around your opinions about mental health problems. You are not experts and even if you were you could not diagnosis from a distance. I have severe PTSD, diagnosed and brain pathway mapped by a neuropsychologist. Instances like the segment discussing all of these people’s problems and statements stem from mental health, as well as people tossing around “I’m so crazy”, minimizes people with actual diagnosed conditions. Just because you act like an asshole or strangely does not necessarily mean you have mental health issues.
Saying someone should get checked out by a professional is one thing. Stating that they have mental health issues without expertise and first hand knowledge is another

I’m sorry, but did they ever try to pose as psychologists or therapists who are trying to diagnose these people? People have opinions yes. People who believe opinions are facts are idiots. This is an opinion show. You don’t believe it do some research. If you don’t believe people can be diagnosed remotely, I disagree with that, but I can understand why some doctors would want to do that. TV hosts, on the other hand, especially when not doing soon anyway that’s malicious or in a way to try to manipulate the audience can say whatever the fuck they want
They can say “whatever the fuck they want”. However, they do not pose themselves as a “opinion show”, they are a NEWS show. “Manipulating the audience” . They said things like “she obviously have mental health issues” which is presented as fact from a news anchor. There is no “research” I need to do. Since you are such an expert that thinks people can be diagnosed with no personal knowledge of the person or have conducted therapy sessions, then YOU need to do some research and quit speaking to something you have no idea about

You are literally throwing around opinions about mental health while not being an expert yourself and just using the excuse that because you have ONE of the many possible mental health problems out there you are allowed to.
I also have mental health problems, I also get a little iffy about how people talk about them, but I don’t expect TYT to change the entire way they run their show because of me. They are giving their opinion and their opinion needs some work (whether Roseann has issues or not she is still responsible for what she says) but it doesn’t need to stop being expressed
Actually, I also have acute anxiety, depression and a moderate level of agoraphobia, all of which have been diagnosed. I am not saying that she has one of these issues. I am saying that no one from TYT knows if or what problems she has. Just writing it off to mental health issues is journalistically irresponsible while painting an inaccurate and harmful picture of people with mental health issues. They can express their “opinion” but they too are accountable for those statements

I am stating things that have been repeatedly confirmed by the American Psychiatric Association, numerous studies published in scientific journals about long-term studies, and from personal experience. Have you been diagnosed officially by a psychologist or psychiatrist? Again, they were not saying “my opinion is that she has mental problems and she should find out what those are”. They stated “she obviously has mental problems”. There is a huge difference there, especially when they are presenting things in the context of reporting on a news program. I do not expect TYT to change just for me. I do expect that people with actual mental health problem, such as myself, are not minimized. Throwing around that someone has mental health issues is serious and I do not take it lightly.

If you’re racist when on Ambien or drunk, you need to sort that out. Alcoholics who stop drinking don’t magically solve all their problems, just the drinking one. Sounds like Roseanne has multiple problems.

So Ana takes the time to go through Ambien side effects but insists she has no knowledge if Roseann’s behavior is caused by Ambien. Then in response to the first tweet she says its not an excuse and there is no proof she was taking Ambien, but that the effects of Ambien should not be minimized. So in short:
1- Ambien has side effects that should not be minimized.
2- We don’t know if Roseanne was taking Ambien
3- We don’t that even if she was taking Ambien, that her tweets are a manifestation of Ambien side effects
4- After all that, she again emphasizes she is not excusing Roseanne’s behavior
I am sorry but this entire segment was pointless. I hope in hindsight someone in the production team realizes this.
I took ambien and never had a compulsion to do racist tweets. If she was having side effects with the drug her doctor would have stopped prescribing it. Its not a defense. Weaksauce argument from Ana
