  5. When TYT has any sort of technical or any other difficulties I’m more inclined to be paranoid about them being fucked with by the establishment with net neutrality looming and all. Rather than a little fucking ass chew bitch fest I’m seeing here. Cut them some slack you $10 a month heroes. Shit happens!

    1. You’re totally right. We get a lot of value for our money. I think most (or at least some) people’s main gripe is just like, hey, post a little note/Tweet/FB post about it so that we know what’s up. That’s it.

    2. I know but they need to work on notices…….. They are an internet company they should know how to post a notice.

    3. Please take your attitude and park it. We have a right to expect professionalism from TYT. I am very glad they are upgrading their technical infrastructure as it really needed attending to (especially the audio). This will move them further towards broadcast parity with mainstream networks. The fact that it is taking past five days (yes, I am including the weekends) is a bit unprofessional but not catastrophic. All members have a right to expect content to continue and your admonishment about “$10 a month heroes” does nothing except reveal what a discourteous person your are to your fellow TYT members.

    1. Lol I’ve totally taken this opportunity to catch up on rebel headquarters, interviews and aggressive progressive episodes! It’s been nice actually! I’d like to watch those shows more, but life’s busy so this has been a good couple of days watching all the stuff I’ve missed!

  12. Guys… This is a small business trying to deal with the fact that they’ve all of a sudden became huge…
    Not only do they have to prep and Sue research for a new show everyday… But they also have many other shows that they have to worry about.
    Yeah hopefully they get more customer service and better Tech help….
    But I’m really hoping that your subscription to tyt isn’t because they have the fastest speeds…. I’m hoping it’s because you want to change this country.

    1. I think people are mostly pissed off due to the lack of proper communication. Having a banner, or sending emails explaining the situation would have been the correct thing to do for paying customers. In this regaurds there is no excuses for the lack of communication. It probably would cost nothing to simply put up a banner on the website or blast out an email. So I think people are 100% right to bitch about this.

  15. I have been a member over 10years.
    The bigger they get, the more often or more frustrating upgrades, steam issues, etc. become.

    I have a simple solution that I’m sure would be a benefit to members & TYT crew alike.

    On the opening page, AT THE TOP (or at top of the side bar), have a special message box.
    It doesn’t have to be big OR glaring.
    I get a fucking email and notice when my bank, etc is upgrading or doing a “Maintenance Day.”
    WHY is this impossible for TYT?

    Half of the frustration is not knowing wtf is going on.
    And if you don’t know to go to the Communications page (if you even know there is one), you are left frustrated, angry and start wondering what the subscription is for.

    Hell, I can see a note or notice everytime my Patreon account sneezes!
    TYT can’t do that little thing?

  16. I understand being upset about there not being a new episode being up loaded, but if you are going to drop your subscription, just do it. You don’t need to announce it to everyone. If you feel the need to tell TYT clearly this comment section is not the place to really get their attention. They have ways for memebers to email them. Do that or just chill out.

    1. They never respond to any emails you send to them when you have a complaint, they marked us off as just a part of doing business. So they get to deal with people complaining on their public forums, and complaining about their memberships. Welcome to capitalism

  18. Click “Member Content”, then “Communications”. That’s where you’ll find notices, including a brief one about there being technical issues yesterday.

  19. Calm down people, I know it’s shitty that we didn’t get a Monday show as promised. They did say on Thursday that they were upgrading… shit happens. Either we will get Monday’s show on Tuesday or not at all…who cares, I still got to watch Dan Rather today.

    1. The problem is that every time you guys update. we are stuck with this shit. Every fucking time. I thought this time might be better because it is on the weekend but you guys did it again.

  20. They disappeared just like Jordan and will reappear next month and everyone will have his/her own show on YouTube, except for Cenk who goes back to Turkey with the $20 million. Cenk is later captured and makes his return like the crying Jim Bakker and is forced to release the TYT back taxes.

  22. Most frustrating is that there is no front page announcement or- as someone else mentioned- an email to members, to explain the issue or at least let us know there would be no show today.
    $10 a month just so I can watch the show when I want is seeming less and less like it is worth it to me when everything is posted on YouTube pretty quick, any links or announcements are always on YouTube- Never on the site for paid members, and extra shows [like Aggressive Progressives] I can get by basically just watching Jimmy Dore’s show on YouTube, I just don’t get to hear what Steve Oh or Malcom F has to say.

    I can say I was heavily debating with my membership for these reasons and my $10/month was really stretching it for me at the moment. Today kind of sealed it. Want more members? Want members at all? At least give them the decency of updating them as well as the people who view your videos free on YouTube.

    1. So I just saw below where someone posted a link from a ‘Communications to members’ or something similar about the show being canceled due to technical issues.
      Granted, until then I had never even noticed a ‘communications to members’ link or tab. Not placed anywhere on the front/home page with an update signal or something. What I’m saying is it isn’t easily found and you have to go to it to even see something posted there. Updating paid members with a small text box on the front page would be better, in my opinion.

    2. And absent an explanation of the “technical” issues, I wonder if there are other problems in the background to which we are not privy. Time for Cenk and company to fess up

  23. I’m a little disappointed… As someone who’s been on the back end of live productions for years, I know how stressful it can be. At the same time, I have to keep it real… skipping a show to do upgrades is annoying but understandable. Having the show complete flop three days later is… frustrating. I’m trying my hardest not to kick you while you’re down but if this had happened to any other paid subscriptions, I would’ve canceled immediately. Let’s call it a mulligan… you get a do over.

  25. I understand things need to be upgraded that is why I didn’t get mad Friday, but really TYT no Monday upload? Why is it that YouTube for the most part gets uploaded faster than here for members, I know you want more members but it’s not right to the people who already pay we could just as well cancel our membership and then watch it on YouTube. I would like to think most of us are understanding. If your still having tech problems send us an email don’t just leave us in limbo.

    2. I have been involved in ‘upgrades’ many times on main frame computers, LANS, WANS and micros. And I have yet to see one go without a problem whether you have 24 or 48 hours in which to do it. It’s the nature of the beast.

      1. As an Infrastructure Systems Architect, I do full infrastructure site and multisite wide upgrades monthly and although some do not go as planned due to unforeseen issues, proper planning and having a contingency plan is a must to minimize the impact to business outside of the downtime window and communication with the clients is a must in order to set the expectations. What TYT is experiencing is clearly due to a lack of proper planning and no backup plan for the inevitable “what if scenarios.”

    1. Starting to question my unreasonably high optional monthly subscription fee… The last few weeks have been an absolute PITA for me (and everyone I work with) at work, and all I want to do is watch TYT and sleep. Dangit.

    1. This is not a “bug,” this is the “function.” I’ve been here for a few years now, TYT has never informed its members when something like this happens. It is really frustrating!

    2. Yes, this is irritating because; watching the live-stream on youtube (or website) is frustrating….if not impossible!
      Today after the screen froze for the third time, I gave up, and it is 5 and a half hours after main show ended here in AZ! Oh, well, I usually only watch the post games:-(

  29. TYT is off the air. Every time this happens and this has happened before, I fear a right wing conspiracy has blown up their internet access. TYT scares conservatives and establishment liberals to their core. I mean if the government can get away with killing JFK and MLK and blow up the World Trade Center and Pentagon, they can get away with anything and everything. The blood suckers known as our military, gets billions of dollars for what?

    1. So it’s not Firefox, that I was cursing at. :-) I would get about 20 minutes in, then it would freeze, at the same point, over and over. I could understand this if I was using dial-up, BUT I’M NOT… COME ON TYT!! :-)

  36. It’s sunday and still no Friday show I go on YouTube try to watch some clips of Friday show and they all end with become a member watch full episodes anytime you want but I am a member and 3 days later still can watch it. Wtf TYT?

    1. There is no Friday show, they specify that at the end of hour 2 on Thursday, the studio has to undergo technical upgrades.

Like a Saturday? When there’s no shows to miss? Okay I’m fine with them missing one day, and damn but okay even if it’s just one Friday show, but what really pisses me off is how many times Agressive Progressives skips weeks. It drives me crazy. I don’t care if Jimmy is sick or gone. They can’t have Steve oh host it? Or the miserable liberal? Or fleshlight-ner? And then have Jimmy come on the webcam for a bit if he’s out of town? The show will still be fine without Jimmy. It’s one show a week. They can’t manage 1 show every 7 days? Maybe a couple missed weeks but it seems like they miss a shitload of weeks for no reason when they could have still had it. Everyone will still love it if Jimmy is gone for one episode.

    2. Basically it is Jimmy`s show and it doesnt go on without him. As for other hosts, stef is his wife, and is more colour than play-by-play. Plus, she goes to his gigs. Cenk does not want to do another show. As for the other issues, it is in California , it could be browned out.

    1. Great book. I am half way through it. So disturbing it’s factual and historical evidence that I can only read two chapters a week. It takes the rest of the week to recuperate, because the truth of what is really going on with the government by the people and for the people is truly heart-rending if you consider yourself someone who loves their country and believes in the constitution as well as the traditions of legal precedents. These fuckers are planting bombs in our legal and constitutional establishment in order to create a despotic aristocracy.

Vidkun Quisling sold-out his country, Norway, to the Nazis during World War II. Because of his infamy, “quisling” entered the English language as a word meaning traitor or collaborator. My prediction is Trump’s last name will enter the English language as “Trumpian” to describe some kind of derisive term, but I am not sure, yet, of its eventual extent.

        Another book that may be of interest is James Kwak’s Economism: Bad Economics and the Rise of Inequality (2017). Trump is mentioned but he is not the focus. Even so, the sub-title could be arguably expanded to include the words “And Establishment of a Despotic Aristocracy.”

      Dianne Feinstein has been a senator since 1992 or 25 years. Alison said that Dianne Feinstein has been in congress for a quarter of a century which is correct. Cenk said that Dianne Feinstein has been in office for fifty years. Both are correct. Dianne Feinstein was mayor of San Francisco and involved in SF politics before her time in the senate. So she has been in some kind of office for fifty years though the way Cenk worded it, it sounded like he was saying Dianne has been a senator for fifty years which is not the case.

      I hope that helps clarify things for people.

    3. Age is government and term limits must not be an issue for progressives especially that they live in glass houses (Bernie has been in elected politics since 1981 and in congress since 1991).

      People like their politicians which is why you see them re-elected.
