  1. Not a single one of my students walked out. We received numerous documents and reminders from our school district admins that we, contractually, could be terminated if we tried to influence students one way or another, or supported them in a walkout, even if it were on our personal time.

    Our principal let us know to let kids go if they chose to do so. I offered to go with them to provide “adult supervision” rather than “support,” just like we do for recesses. I wasn’t needed. :( Not a surprise in my white rural community, but still.

    1. Tighter gun control is the progressive position. As far as I know, Justice Democrats need only to pledge not to take any corporate PAC money, so they work for the people, and not millionaire and billionaire donors. Allowing candidates with less progressive views on certain things is okay, as long as they aren’t being controlled by corporations or the extremely rich, IMO.

  8. Here in Washington State, the Dems control the house, senate and governor’s office. There were two bills proposed this session that would raise the age to buy firearms to 21 and eliminate the sale of bump stocks. Both bills FAILED to pass. Worthless fucking Demorats

    1. Your information are a bit out of date. Actually the Senate only became Dem two months ago, before that it was controlled by the republicans and the bill died in the senate not the house.

  9. Kathy, register for whatever party you want to vote in primaries for.

    Sadly, people take party affiliation way too personally. In my experience people have more personal identity involved in political party affiliation than they do their religion. I see no point in this.

    There are only three reasons to be involved in a political party. 1: so you can vote in primaries, 2: so the state governors can gerrymander districts around people who are registered. 3: so you can be involved volunteering and attending party meetings. Other than that, no reason to register with any party.

    I guarantee no democratic party leader loses sleep because you registered independent. They are probably happy you won’t vote in the primaries, because without your vote the established corporate dems have a stronger chance to stay in power.

  10. Great show, love when John is on. Cenk you keep telling us to register so we can vote in the primaries, here in Florida we can only vote in the primaries of the party we declare. Because I won’t declare myself as Democrat or Republican J am not allowed to vote in the primaries. I don’t see how a progressive can win a primary here because neither the registered Democrats or the Republicans are progressive.

Kathy: That’s the same here in Colorado… I was a registered Democrat for nearly fifty years… I was so turned off by the DNC, DCCC and DSCC the last election (especially how the DNC treated Bernie); that I registered as Independent before the 2016 elections… I wanted to participate in the 2018 Caucuses and Primaries… After they are over, I will re-register as an Independent and stay that way until the 2020 Primaries… I support monetarily the Justice Democrats individually; but send nothing to the corporate Democratic organizations…

  22. I was in HS in Boston in 1999, I remember Columbine like it was yesterday. It’s almost 18 years later and now my daughter is facing the same worries and fears at the same school I faced then. I have a friend that is a teacher in Newtown and I was terrified until I thankfully heard from her on that day. Both schools were to protest, however Boston was closed due to the weather without a backup plan, we don’t know yet if they will do something when they go back. These kids aware hero’s! I’m so proud of them!

These are OBVIOUSLY basesless accusations again, which could have some merit if anything aforementioned provided an argument for such. The compounding of the 3 rhetorical styles is fascinating, because all you need on top of that is an aggressive tone and almost everyone will back down stating “don’t feed the trolls” or simply giving up to their persistence… and in that sense, they’re never truly debased for the sloppy argument style it really is, nor the fact that it’s completely wrong.
