Jimmy Dore is back to full health and returns after a one-week hiatus, joined by Steve Oh and Stef Zamorano. The ACLU is fighting against laws meant to stop people from boycotting Israeli products. Chuck Schumer takes on the BDS (Boycotts, Divestments, Sanctions) movement. The establishment left’s continued assault on peaceful coexistence with nations that have not attacked us.

Hi Jimmy & Stef & Ron,
Important correction—Sorry for the delay in responding to a misstatement made recently on the show about the current CDP Platform.
Stef was reading from a DRAFT version of the platform on the March 14 edition of the Aggressive Progressives show, which indicated a rather unprogressive position on Israel/Palestine. This DRAFT statement is NOT the official position eventually adopted — indeed far from it.
What Stef missed is that a lengthy portion of the Platform committee’s deliberations at the recent state convention in San Diego was spent hammering out a more progressive position. I hope you can correct viewers impression of the California Democratic Party’s 2018 Platform stance on Israel/Palestine, by citing the final, official plank highlighted below (in the attached page).
(The full platform can be viewed here: https://www.cadem.org/our-party/standing-committees/body/CDP-Platform-2018.pdf).
Best regards,
Dale (TYT member, and AP fan)

Proactively seek durable peace in the Middle East including preserving the multilateral Iran Nuclear Deal of
2015 to discourage the further proliferation of nuclear weapons in the region, encourage democratic forces in Iran without undermining its government and continue to work toward a solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict negotiated by the parties that guarantees equality, security and democracy for all, recognizes Israel’s future as a secure and democratic Jewish state with recognized borders and provides the Palestinians with independence, sovereignty and dignity. Jerusalem has served as the seat of Israel’s government since 1949 and should remain the capital of Israel, a city accessible to peoples of all faiths and the decision to relocate the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem should not remove it from final status negotiations, nor should it be used to undermine the peace process. Furthermore, we acknowledge that as an outcome of the negotiations, the Palestinian capital could exist in East Jerusalem if the Palestinians desire. Israelis and Palestinians deserve security, recognition, and a normal life free from terror and incitement. Palestinians and Israelis should be free to govern themselves in their own viable state, in peace and dignity;
• End the teaching and use of Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia in discourse throughout the Middle East and beyond and oppose efforts to undermine the equal rights of Israel and Palestine;
The Israeli military need Hamas, Islamic Jihad and any other Islamic terrorist organization otherwise they would not get funded. Islamic groups need the Israeli military or they would not get funded. Meanwhile both the Palestinian people and the average Israeli gets screwed.
ZzzzzZzzzZzz… How long does it take to upload new episodes. Come the fuck on, it’s 2018 and you still run this shit like it’s 1998. All the videos should be available the minute after the recording is done. There is no excuse for this laziness.
A. in Reply: sooo what Jimmy’s uploads are a bit slower, duh so are we, his fans. And I’m happy that he’s got hooked guys like bretg57 which are peeing themselves while waiting for uploads plus, I’m just pleased that I can be a PATREON subscriber and share some cash with progressive moves…
B. don’t wish to produce show but make a suggestion; Please do taxonomy of where we agree with TRUMP: eg: 1. critiques of media, 2. critiques of Hillary, 3, critiques of Sessions, FBI-CIA-NSA-Russian distraction, etc.. do we agreed on anything..???
C. Pacific progressives’ Prayer: May the light of good fortune illuminate a path across the vast passive-waters of the Pacific showing a bright course forward for Jimmy D. & Jo Koy to hook-up and produce an historic 2018 Comedy Tour thru-out the Pacific Rim… Manila, Bejing, Tokyo, Seoul and don’t neglect the marianas (Guam)…
People always want to find technological solutions to these problems, but really the solution to our issues are the classics: Transparency and Accountability.
I honestly find it shocking that YouTube, Facebook, and other social media have secret algorithms that aren’t available to the public. This is absurd. We run businesses there. It’s completely ridiculous citizens social lives and businesses are controlled by secret algorithms.
There should be actual government regulation requiring these algorithms to be transparent and open. This is our society. Academics, journalists, and researchers should be able to ask questions about the way these algorithms work, without relying on these absurd ad-hoc experimentation that they rely on now.
Make the algorithms public.
Besides the basics of the Page Rank algorithm, what else are you looking for? All they have to do is tweak the same algorithm, weighing different things differently, perhaps having whitelists and blacklists of particular sites that affect weighting.
For example, facebook has made no secret of preferring facebook video to youtube video.
i love jimmy…. but he just refuses to learn anything else about google search & its relation to youtube. its too bad.
props to steve for at least trying to challenge jimmy on this. yea, independent media is harmed by establishment-favoring algorithms. but jimmy takes it too far
Agreed though Steve is naive to think that they are attacking only right wing sites. They’re subtlety going after all links outside the mainstream, where opposition isn’t controlled.
I agree! Steve is naive about how bad things REALLY are. He just does NOT want to believe that we’re living in a corporate-controlled oligarchy. I wish he wasn’t on Aggressive Progressives because he is neither!
thanks Steve for trying to get the beginning back on track. hopefully next time you’ll be successful! there just aren’t enough minutes of this show every week for it to have so much dead time
There were issues with people being randomly unsubscribed and not notified on YouTube long before the election and russiagate, and it’s affected all types of channels. That’s not evidence of the deep state using it as an excuse to silence the left.
54:16 — That’s right, Jimmy, she should know better! To borrow Judy Holliday’s line from the play, “Born Yesterday”: Why do you act like Hannity, Rachel, you’re better than that… (Pause) Or I don’t know, maybe you’re WORSE!”
44:35 — “Imagine there’s no countries / It isn’t hard to do / Nothing to kill or die for / And no religion too…”
I would like to make a comment about my membership in TYT. I didn’t notice but my contribution was on an automatic renewal and it happened recently. I don’t watch the main show, and with the Russian incident I turn in sometimes to hatewatch. But now there is the poisoning in England and I have to make a comment. I would like to have an investigation with a sample of the poison sent to not only Russia, but to at least two other countries for analysis. When the analysis comes back as positive for being Russian made I will back any sanctions that are decided by the international community.
Do any of you remember the Anthrax attacks? It came about right after 9-11. By the way, 2011, not the one in Chile in 1973. Sorry for the confusion. Right after there were a series of Anthrax attacks that were sent to journalists for the NY Times and to congress. I was watching the news closely since I was getting suspicious with all of the strange reactions. CNN had on an American General with really droopy shoulders since he had so much shit on his uniform and he was talking about the poison. He said that it has been weaponized, and they said it was so sophisticated that it could not in any way been made in an American lab. It had to come from a lab from a sophisticated country with highly developed labs such as Iraq. As I remember, officially they have never solved this case. But I think that if Jimmy saw a video of this General, he would say that he had a tell. Meaning he was a shitty liar.
I think that Theresa May is lying also. She doesn’t look comfortable when Jeremy Corbyn asks her directly about the steps she is taking for an investigation. And the Swiss are following the lead. It has been the lead on every TV show for a week, and they ran a hit piece on Putin for the elections. I think they got a lot of pushback since the next night they did say that the investigation is not finished. But there are too many investors in weapons dealers here that they know that War is good for business. And Wall Street and the CIA all bank in Switzerland.
Which brings me to a clip I saw of Cenk talking about the attacks. And I can see where that $20 Million came from and I wanted to quit giving money to TYT. I am going to stop my automatic renewal and I will watch AP for the next year. If I can give anyone my advice, it is too question everything (even Jimmy, but never question Stef) and hold people accountable for their actions.
Cenk, you are not as good a liar as that General, and he was full of shit.
Sorry, 2001. My bad, a typo.
27:00 — Jimmy! I’m amazed that you would engage in “Mammalian Exceptionalism”! :)
During the primaries it was revealed that Google tailored its results in favor of Hillary Clinton. I’m not surprised by this.
A number of years ago I came across the search engine DuckDuckGo and have been using it ever since. It doesn’t track you, nor does it censor their results. I highly recommend it.
I use the Firefox browser with the Adblock and NoScript add-ones. I was thoroughly amazed at all the information gathering sites such as GoogleAnalytics that gather info on our browsing habits. On some sites the list of sites practically takes up an entire page. So much for privacy on the internet.
Also want to thank you for the excellent Chris Hedges segment on your show. I utilize a variety of news media sites to get a well-rounded view of current news, and RT has some very good articles you will not see elsewhere. I used to be able to share RT’s articles easily on Facebook. Now, when I try to share, I’m asked to login to Facebook again, even though I’m already logged in. Is this because RT is now considered a foreign agent?
You mentioned Rachel Maddow during the show. I used to watch her all the time up to the presidential primaries. She was a Bernie supporter, but unfortunately MSNBC was not. It was disappointing to watch this excellent journalist choose her well-paying job over truthful reporting. I could see the pain on her face as she spoke eloquently about Hillary, but she made a choice and I haven’t watched her show since.
The sad thing today is we can no longer trust the reporting and truthfulness of MSM and their refusal to cover events such as Bernie’s town halls. So I, for one, am thankful for your show and other fine independent media on the net.
So thanks again and keep up your good work!
I wish it were possible to
I was wondering where that last sentence went. Is there any way we can edit posts on this site?
I remember this distinctly, and it was at this point that the ‘Do No Evil’ motto of Google was revealed to be a fraud to me. At first Hillary won Iowa by 49.84% to 49.59%, and they showed 23 to 21 delegates. Well, ok. Delegates are the important part, and maybe that’s how they planned to show the results anyways. Then after Bernie won New Hampshire, and should have been AHEAD of Hillary, Google piled on super delegates so that any Hillary/Sanders delegate search would show her winning in a landslide, thus preventing any display of Sanders being ahead.
2016 was an eye-opener as to how corrupt the system was, and how big powers like google favored specific establishment candidates.
OMG they are eating TYT Lizard. I feel sick.
geesz, I was waiting for that observation…If you haven’t already, see: The Freshman, it is my favorite Brando movie:-)
WATCH JIMMY DORE SPIT IN ALEX JONE’S FACE AT 5:25 INTO THE FOLLOWING LINK. IT’S ONE OF THE FUNNIEST THINGS I’VE EVER SEEN!

Does anyone have the link for the Chris Hedges panel video?
There is a difference between the organization BDS and the movement to try to change Israeli policy and actions via punitive economic measures. Take a look into the actual founding and founders of the organization BDS. They have as much as admitted that they hope movement will lead to the elimination of the nation of Israel. This criticism of the BDS organization is shared by such harsh critics of Israel as Norman Finkelstein and Noam Chomsky.
Bernie Sanders has said that antisemitism is a driving force of BDS.
It is unconstitutional to try to punish those who support either the BDS organization, or the movement. But be careful of whom you crawl into bed with before understanding their motives and history.
Hey TYT, fix the download link!
I just had a curious thought: I wonder if we’ll ever see Steve host the show without Jimmy? He is on the title card and his explanation from last week for no post was “I’m in NYC and @jimmy_dore is sick”, which hints that were he not in NYC, he would have hosted it solo. I’ve always liked Steve Oh, and while I love Jimmy and would like to see him every week if it were possible, seeing Steve Oh host his own show is something I’ve only just realized I’ve been looking forward to for many years now, even if it can’t be a regular thing (because of prep time and how busy Steve is on the business side).
Hands down the BEST show on TYT, This show is the ONLY reason I’m a Member!!! … Jimmy YOU NEED TO GET Dr. Steven Greer on the show PLEEEEEASSSEE!!
Loved this segment guys – but Assad did use chemical weapons back in ’13 on his own people. So did his father.
It’s stunning how passionate Shumer is in that speech at AIPAC, I have literally never heard him speak like that in any other forum
Yes, I guess he’s happy to put his mouth where the money is…..Surprised?
“Beyond Meat” It’s amazing.
Wooo hooo!! GODDAMN RIGHT, FUCK YEAH @Steve Oh

THIS IS A GREAT LAUGH: Jimmy Dore And Ben Mankiewicz YELL AND CURSE AT EACH OTHER IN HEATED ARGUMENTS “F*CK YOU”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lehPazO3X7c
This is a plus for TYT. People can disagree. Not everybody thinks alike. The issue was semantics. I think each one was talking about a different issue. I like each one a lot. This is currently, water under the bridge.
Love the show and I love Cenk and TYT too (been watching for over 10 years). So happy the show has tripled in length since I started watching it! I really appreciate that different views are presented on the same network.
Re: meat. There are a couple problems with eating meat: your health, the planet’s health, and animal welfare (not “animal rights” just because it causes so much needless hysteria with the right wing). For me, all three are important, but cruelty is the most important. Factory farming is horrifically cruel to animals and I would argue a dehumanizing and desensitizing situation for anyone to work in (violence violence violence). You don’t necessarily have to completely give meat up, although that is a great goal. But you can REDUCE the amount you eat AND only buy meat that is pastured, that means it is grass-fed and has a life where it can be outside. Usually these animals are raised organically. It’s no good if they are then trucked to a Confined Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) to be fed grain and killed in a factory slaughterhouse. You can get local, organic, pasture-raised beef, chicken, and pork almost anywhere in the USA–check out http://www.eatwild.com. Many restaurants in California serve grass-fed beef and free-range chicken. Just do your best–you don’t have to be perfect!!
Fish feel pain–their brains are very similar to mammal brains in this respect. There is no reason we shouldn’t be concerned with the welfare of fish just because they are so different than mammals. But, more importantly, ocean fish are wildlife, just like songbirds and waterfowl and hawks and owls. We no longer allow wholesale slaughter of our wild birds for market, but because we can’t see the slaughter and devastation that commercial fishing causes to fish populations and their ocean habitat, we think eating seafood is okay. It’s not. Commercial ocean fishing has decimated wild fish populations, especially of large marine fish like billfish and tuna and groupers, but we are also decimating populations of small fish and krill for fish oil–these are the food of larger fish and marine mammal populations already suffering from many human impacts. Many fish populations have declined by 90% over the last 50 years and things are getting worse as world population rises. Farmed fish is just as bad. There is no need to eat fish to be healthy. Like birds, there is more value to them being in the ocean alive, morally and ecologically speaking. Again, there is no reason to be perfect–eating wild salmon is not a bad choice (I’m a salmon biologist, don’t eat farmed salmon!!)–there are some fisheries more sustainable. Myself, I can’t live without making fish tacos once in a while, but I don’t even eat wild fish every month. I use sustainably fished small Pacific rockfish or halibut. Rockfish can live 100-200 years old! Some species may not spawn until they are 25 years old! We did not find this out until after we decimated many populations; now such old fish are largely gone. There used to be Giant Sea Bass in southern California up to 800 lbs; they used to be relatively common there but by the 1980s were almost extinct off California. We don’t appreciate these amazing animals enough–learn to scuba dive!
Sylvia Earle really changed my perspective on eating wild fish. https://ideas.ted.com/should-you-stop-eating-fish-2/ In case anyone is interested.
Can’t believe the Chuck Schumer bullshit! I never would have seen that if not for AP and I think I will write his sorry ass and give him a piece of my mind. Does anyone remember the boycotts of countries that didn’t join in on the first war on Iraq?? Freedom Fries anyone?? Some of you probably weren’t born yet, but Republicans encouraged boycotting of French products because they didn’t join in our war. My local co-op in Olympia, Washington I believe still is part of the BDS movement–this is a very lefty town and a great place to live. Rachel Corrie was a peace activist from Olympia, died when an Israeli Defense Force operator crushed her with a bulldozer as she was trying to prevent Palestinian homes from being demolished. Age 23 back in 2003. Still makes me want to cry. Alan Rickman directed a play about her. Google her.
Love all of you! Keep up the good work!!
Excellent information, Sylvia Earle is the Jacques Cousteau of America, and the fact that she doesn’t have a series; speaks to the idiocy of the entertainment industry.
Jimmy, I assume when you refer to thought, you are referring to a phenomenon of the human brain. When we speak of human thought, we are referring to a mental representation (typically language-based) of our experience. I do not know how other animals, plants, fungi, or bacteria experience their existence on this planet but I believe they do. How does a carrot experience being forced to grow in rows or being mechanically harvested? Again, I do not know but I do believe they experience their life. We can only be nourished by consuming life that shares DNA with us. That’s the covenant between life on Earth: We consume each other to survive. You take a life with shared DNA no matter what you eat.
psysped, I don’t necessarily agree with you that carrots are sentient, but we are finding out ever more astonishing things about plants. (Evolutionarily speaking, carrots don’t have much of a “reason” to have consciousness, while social animals like crows, elephants, dolphins, rats, and humans do.) However, I agree that no matter what you eat, you are taking life. Even vegans are not exempt, as the harvest of vegetable and grain crops often results in the loss of numerous small animals and birds and countless invertebrates. You cannot escape it; you cannot be perfect (you can actually get very close to avoiding violence to all life, but it’s a pretty radical diet and won’t work if you are eating out). That is why I tell people that if they can’t give up meat, just be mindful of where it comes from and try to reduce your impact on your health, the planet, and animals as much as you can. Once you stop eating a particular food, you stop missing it, just like when you quit smoking. Peace out!
They are finding that trees have communication skills. But can a vegan eat a tree?
There is a incredibly complex network in a healthy soil which binds all of nature. I live in Swiitzerland in a rural area, and also lived near Freiburg, Germany. I love riding my bike, but it is like riding in a dead world. There are no insects, no birds.
I grew up in Littleton in the 1960’s and woke up to bird songs every morning. We would have huge flocks of several species in the sky and they were like dark clouds. Then we started using DDT regularly. I saw a boy scout manual from my brother in the 1950’s and they recommended to go camping and spray large amounts of DDT to take protect yourself from predators.
I used to work outdoors Wyoming for 5 years in the 1970’s. Even in the desert areas, but especially in the farmlands there was a large population of insects.
I just moved to a new town and have a hard time fitting in. There is a large population of old farmers, and I have asked them about the birds. They don’t understand my questions, but they are the ones that use a monoculture farming and don’t realize the damage they have done to our planet for our youth. My daughters will never see the world that I have. Sorry, youth. We fucked up.
Also, may I add: POLLUTION. I have not been able to eat pork after watching: WHAT THE HEALTH on Netflix. There is a scene where a black woman is holding a baby, calming and politely going over the litany of neighbors with cancer. Another scene of an avuncular fellow (lamenting missing Sunday church service) because the local pig farm had turned on it’s pig feces spray and soiled his cloths for service. This is the largest pig farm in the US, so as a bacon lover I am sure I have eaten their products….THE BASTARDS!
Hope you are feeling better Jimmy.
Thursdays are my new Fridays. Love this show!
They’ve explained the “censorship” thing a couple times on the main show and post game I believe. It’s not that TYT doesn’t want cursing per se, it’s just that their content will be available on other media platforms where cursing would have to be bleeped. This creates more work for the editors or whatever at TYT to make sure they catch all of them.
AP is the primary reason I am a TYT member.
Peace love and rock ‘n’ roll!
I’m glad Jimmy is feeling better I love AP it is the best part of TYT by longshot. I see a lot of people yelling and screaming and getting all fussy about the timing of the shell and I get that it’s hard to get into groove if the timeslots are moved around a lot and then you add in timed send minutes I’m sure you all will work out the bugs and the kinks I would just ask that members and have a little more patience and faith That Steve will work things out and get a good balance for us all. Most important thing to me is that Jimmy’s health remains good. I watched his three hour interview with Joe Rogan I already knew that Jimmy had health issues you could see it and he alluded to it very little but as a human who is in extreme pain all the time I could tell it wasn’t easy for him and isn’t easy for him Him. This is why I appreciate him and all he is doing for the progressive movement his standup shows on the road back to do AP then his own podcast and the JDS That is a lot for anyone much less someone in his physical condition. I feel protective of him when people pick on how he might not get things quite right but I dare you to live in his skin a week then come back you’ll have a different attitude. Much love to all who make AP possible!
I have nothing but love for Jimmy Dore. I do think to the point of members having “a little more patience”, that I subscribed 14 months ago to watch the Aggressive Progressives, and I think it is reasonable for me to expect that that is enough time to work out the kinks. But the worst kinks that existed back then are still present. I don’t blame any specific person, but I express my frustration in hopes that they do eventually make the requested improvements, because I think that they’re reasonable requests for a pleasant member experience.
May I add?
Hello, TYT, don’t be silly and kill the golden goose…. It would be way smarter to give her a comfortable nest.
Oh, and while I am at it: Cenk and Ana may amuse their friends (and love ones…ah,thats why we love um…right) but when you compare walking into a room full of strangers night after night, the time and energy to perfect your jokes and think: hum, I could do that….PLEASE, STICK TO YOUR DAY JOB…You’re both excellent at it BTW….this idea of the comic stylings of Cenk and Ana is destine to be an embarrassment…PLEASE, for the love of God, spare us ALL!!
I watched the whole interview and as a doctor he is right. There are some diseases that you read about in a textbook and never see, only once in a career. I have always been amazed to see a specialist in a disease that takes up one sentence in Robbins’ Pathology. And they devote their lives to that disease. One guy told me there were about 15 people in the world that were afflicted with the disease he was working on!
Speaking of which, Jimmy has made the mistake saying that Switzerland has single payer. We have a form of Romney care, since this is the most heavily Republican country you could imagine. They have had three votations here since I have lived here to accept single payer and they have turned it down every time since they swallow every bullshit lie the insurance lobby feeds them. And they pay higher rates for medications that all of their neighbors and then they complain.
I used to not make any comments since I was looked down on for criticizing the Swiss and their system. Now I don’t give a shit. What do I have to lose now.
Thank you for bringing back Aggressive Progressives
Fantastic show. Really can’t believe how you deliver your unrelenting, unmitigated expose of hypocrisy week after week. Great balance of input from all involved. Jimmy, keep up the good eating habits. I’m almost 40 years a vegetarian and for some of us, it is a very important way to walk the talk. Love you all, many thanks!
Bezos gets an award for shifting the wealth globally to himself
He’s such a shifthole.
YEAH! Remember when he tweeted that he wanted idea’s on a charity? I don’t tweet or I would have replied: Hey shithead, for a starter how about cleaning up that garbage in the middle of the Pacific (and the size of Texas) that your OVER-PACKAGED merchandise has most certainly contributed.
I saw the message last week that Jimmy was sick but there was no message for this week – so I’ve been checking/refreshing for last few days. Thank goodness they finally put up the latest AP episode I’ve been having withdrawal symptoms?
So glad you’re back. I was about to unsubscribe to TYT and 24/7 Russia and Trump with Cenk.
Aggressive Progressives is the only truly honest progressive show. I didn’t get to vote but I think AP really got 100%. There was little voter suppression.
Jimmy, Steve and Stef (and Ron) are the only true Power Panel.
Cheryltyler11 can’t agree with you more. It’s all “Trump is an idiot” non-stop talk on TYTLive but assume it’s because its profitable as Facebook & YouTube’s algorithms reward it.
Why if AP is voted by 63% of the members as the Best TYT members only show can’t this show be produced more than once a week, especially if all the other shows combined don’t even come close in popularity. To me, it shows members are looking for shows that offer this type of content, less Trump bashing and more truth telling. Sorry you ran out of time for Dylan Ratigan’s clip.
I would guess at this point the limiting factor is Jimmy’s availability, since he does AP, the jimmy dore show, and his premium patreon thing, as well as doing special pieces out of studio and touring. Plus he does do power panels and, I guess, Rebel Headquarters, though I’ve never checked it out to see how often he does that. If TYT wanted to produce more progressive content, they would need to make offers outside of Jimmy, such as to his regular or occasional guests.
Re: Rebel Headquarters, I guess he never hosted it. Is that not the show that Cenk roped Jimmy into where Jimmy had some buyers remorse? If so, I guess Cenk decided to mostly host it himself. I’m happy, because Jimmy is such a busy person. I mean, geez, so is Cenk of course, but at least he owns the network.
the reason im a paying member is to get access to this show becuase i wanna support jimmy dore financially. i would love if you would start releasing more of this content to the wider tyt audience and i would gladly up my monthly payment to increase the length or frequency of the episodes.
jimmy is on patreon. you can become a patron and support his show.
Hey folks, cursing is ALLOWED on Aggressive Progressives! So fuck yeah! Fuck fuck fuck!!!
Good point, I reacted to the comments before watching the video (something I hate when people do, so I’m a hypocrite!) In retrospect there was no beeping/censoring, just Jimmy self-censoring and you telling him he didn’t have to. I’ll give you points for listening to your audience and to Jimmy’s own wishes on the subject.
The posting schedule is still a bit annoying. I’m not as mad about that as some others, but if I compare this show to others I am subscribed to online who give me regular content (and they do it for free), their schedule is highly reliable without delays, and they have backlog/special guests for sick days. I used to look at your twitter feed to find out if you guys recorded, though I might switch to Stef since you’re understandably/unfortunately not in every episode, so she might be more reliable for such updates. I also have a complex setup with your rss feed to email me when there’s a new post, so that helps me not come back and do the refresh thing that leads to disappointment.
On the backlog front, I get that you’re news driven, and that has a shelf-life. But for the backlog episodes, you could do some basic recaps of overall themes that come back again and again, and have guests who similarly have a message that isn’t timely like a book, but a subject of passion they want to talk about. Whats more, say once every 3 months, if no one gets sick and you don’t use up the backlog episode in all that time, you can release it at that time and the whole team gets a week off.
Please take these as suggestions and not demands (though I know opinions differ within this crowd). But if you want me to go from feeling like TYT gives mediocre member support to high class member support (particularly to those who are only members for AP. Occupy wallstreet chant: We! Are! The 63%!), these are some of my suggested actions to get me to feeling that way about my membership.
Steve, I appreciate you visiting the comments section. Since you read these, I will ask you what I’ve asked others. Please explain why members-only content requires commercial breaks for linear platforms. If these programs are only for paying members why are the breaks necessary? It’s always a big laugh on the post games when Cenk does the faux pause and then announces “and we’re back” but members really want to know what the point of it is, and if we will be losing the exclusive access to this content. Thanks for listening.
What’s the point of AP if it’s just going to be a watered down, censored version of The Jimmy Dore Show? Especially when it airs live at noon on a weekday, and then is hardly ever posted for members in a timely manner? I support TYT because no one does a better job at raising awareness about money in politics, but there people who subscribe just for AP and they have valid complaints here.
These comments are why a lot of large content providers provide both censored and uncensored versions of content. I’ve heard the argument, and I begrudgingly agree, why you censor content for certain platforms, and public areas. But content to members? Don’t censor. People like it more, and that alone should be enough to justify doing it. After all, it is the censoring that takes the extra resources. The non-censored version is basically free.
My bad. There was no censoring in this episode, nor will there be in the future for Aggressive Progressives. I’d delete my comment to avoid misleading anyone but I don’t see a way to do it.
Yeah, I will wait (as I have for some time) for TYT to show A P the respect it deserves. Glad to see Steve Oh checking in with the tribe.
Let Jimmy swear. Censorship is akin to lies. And if you can’t handle it, why the fuck are you here?
2nd! Love the show, but want the true emotion of profanity back on the show. Fuck censorship!
First! Love this show and all of you!
