  1. Gigi where is the post for this Monday the 12th? I don’t want to watch the YT stream with commercials, please fix!

  2. Wow this was amazing again !! Such great info . Everything he brought up is SUPER important and needs to be expound and Continuously discussed broadly until change is made!

  3. This is what news used to have TRUSTED INDEPENDENT COMMENTARY to inform and teach viewers.
As always though, there is NOTHING that can be done about anything until Dems, ANY DEMS, have complete power.

We all need to put 100% behind ensuring EVERYONE we know is registered to vote, and vote (get everyone you know a mail in ballot), the more who vote, the more vote Dem but sure, try to get them to vote progressive.

Yeah, Progressive Dems are the only ones that can be trusted, but ANY DEM is 1000 x better than any Republicans since they bloc vote for legislation that rips Peoples Rights, Freedoms, even gun ownership (via seizing guns w / o due process). Dems do bow to greater / lessor effect the opinions while NO GOPer does.

    1. Hi Creaky Wheel, I have been thinking about your comment for a couple of days now and it hits squarely on something I’ve been thinking about. There is a saying that there are two kinds of people in the world — those that divide people into two categories and those who don’t. If I were to divide the political world into two parts I would use “beholden to donors” versus “representing constituents” rather than Republican and Democrat. Neither party represents me because I am more complex in my thoughts and policy views than the rigid doctrines of those two parties. It is a fact that these two parties have control of our government despite together not even representing the majority of voters. It is almost impossible for an independent or non-R&D party to get their nominees elected. But, I think it is far too simplistic to say 100% of the GOP can’t be trusted. Absolutes don’t play well with me because I want to see life in color or at least shades of gray — not black OR white. I’m an AND person. What we seem to be missing these days is ethics and democratic values. I see the Democrats for instance using the word “right” cavalierly and without regard to how it will all be paid for. Yes the Constitution spells out a lot of rights and adds to them through the amendment process. The GOP wants to impose their view of morality or whatever it is on the rest of us when it is none of their business. And, the GOP seems to have the most beholden to donors politicians although the Democrats are certainly well represented in that group. I think we need to level the playing field around the right to vote. Bipartisan is not the same as nonpartisan. Everyone needs to understand how precious the right to vote AND be represented is the essence of democracy. And, democracy includes defending each person’s opinion and vote no matter how much you dislike what they are saying. We need to stop playing the partisan games and chose our representatives by their individual values and on how much they will defend us and be representatives of our well-being and Constitutional rights. Thanks for listening.

  5. I love that Dan Rather is on. One gets the impression that he’ s seen it all and now is just itching to speak truth to power regardless of what that brings.

  6. Danfuckingtastic. His insights are like golden eggs and he just keeps laying them. Even at his age he has his thumb firmly placed on the pulse of the nation. World class!

  7. I’ve always admired Edward E. Murrow who took down McCarthy in his newscast in 1952. I have been wanting to hear from the Edward R Murrow of our time and I believe I just did listening to Dan Rather. He spoke with clarity, focus on what is important for us to pay attention to, and reminding us that we have the power like the West Virginia teachers to change things to assure a better future! Thank you, Mr. Rather, for being here on TYT where you can speak directly to the youth of America and encourage them to do what they know in their hearts is the right thing! Vote!

  8. Love that Dan Rather has joined the TYT network! Wow, this is the greatest.
The wisdom imparted gave me hope, and I stand with goose bumps raised.
Remember when Barack Obama reminded us that we are the change. There is no magic, it is us. We have to make things happen.
