    “A WELL REGULATED MILITIA (capitalization mine), being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

    I have a question for people who claim that they have ‘Second Amendment Rights’:
    Which well regulated Militia do you belong to?

    (Are there any well regulated Militia in the US? Besides of course Army, Navy, Marines etc.)

    Please let me know because I hear a lot about your Second Amendment Rights, but I have not heard anything about the well regulated Militia that you folks belong to…

      the founding fathers put that phrase in there,”well regulated militia”, because they didn’t mean it. They totally meant that every citizen should have 500 guns, but they threw in that militia section just to be mysterious. They were just being silly. I mean, if they wanted to make a right to a gun a guaranteed right for individuals, they could have just said “ALL people should have their right to own any amount of guns for individual use, or for shits and giggles, shall never be infringed”, but they didn’t, because … reasons.

  4. I live in GA & hope that Dems continue to reduce the R majority in upcoming elections. Casey Cagle is such an ass kissing fool who usually fawns all over Delta giving them jet fuel sales tax breaks which they don’t need. This would save them 50 mill while they made 3.6 bill last year. I don’t agree with the fuel tax breaks for Delta because it will impact the Clayton County school budget. Hartsfield Jackson is in Clayton County and a lower income, mainly minority county so they need all their school funds which Cagle could care less about. This is a pissing contest between despicable bullies. Are you paying attention Amazon? Do you really want to locate your HQ2 here?

    1. Does anyone even doubt there will be a teacher shortage in Florida?10 voluteer teachers in each school to pack a gun is ludicrious!

  5. I was reading that if Sessions resigns Trump can appoint anyone in his administrations who has been OK’d by the Senate, another Dept head for instance. If he fires Sessions then he has to deal with the line of succession at Justice and a possible legal fight.

    Just sayin’ it might not be madness….

  7. BTW: I stopped commenting much here because I felt I was enabling a toxic environment I did not intend to. Please do not mistake my perspective as something that cannot be changed. I would not be watching and listening to this show if I did not have an open mind.

  8. This whole shitshow plays into conservative hands. They want smaller government so why not arm the school to the teeth which forces parents to make the choice to move their kids into smaller charter schools. It’s a two for one deal; more guns and corporate profits; and the public school system falling apart with lack of precipitation.

    The level of terror perpetrated by right wing policies are reaching scary levels. And they skillfully hide behind “Freedom” and the Constitution.

If the NRA wins against Delta (which alone outspends the NRA multiple times) and Delta buckles, Atlanta International is the world’s biggest airport and Delta’s main hub, then there is no stopping to the NRA because the rest will buckle and it will prove that the NRA’s political clout is from its members not donations or gun corporations most of whom are either bankrupt or facing financial difficulties.

    Interesting fight.

    You must be an incredible idiot to NOT think about leaving this runaway, flaming Trumpster fire!

    But, that it’s timing is NOT connected to her testimony?

    Nope, not buying it.
    In fact, I bet she’s thinking, “This is the perfect time to bolt. Hopefully I will evade any shrapnel when this hot-mess hits the wall.”

  13. I was a classroom paraprofessional for the NYC Dept of Ed public school in the South Bronx for 8 years.

    If you grabbed a kid a little too tight, while breaking up a fight that said kid started, you had parents in your face talking about, “Not my kid!” or “No one puts their hands on my kid!” ad nauseum……. but we’re gonna arm teachers.

    Teachers can’t even get reinbursed for scotch tape and classroom decorations…. but they’re gonna make a stipend for bullets?

  17. Cheeto in chief is a threat to self and others. These policies will only further the stigma of people with mental health, especially if they are black or Muslim.
