  1. The reason your craving the big mac is cause ur body is addicted to sugar. everything you eat has high amounts of sugar in it. sugar is extremely addictive. It’s biochemistry causes a positive feedback loop for more craving of the substance. It’s the reason you crave a big mac or pasta or certain items. Even coffee with sugar you’ll crave it if you cut out sugar. When you cut out sugar completely, you suffer withdrawal. fyi, not all sugar is equal. anything that is broken into fructose in the body (this include sucrose) triggers the feedback in question. I find that if i eat a ton of fiber, no sugar, i have 0 cravings for fast food or anything gross. I actually stop eating all together and don’t feel too hungry most days. After a few months of this, i’ve stabilized my obese weight, but with a little exercise i’m starting to finally lose weight. i am going very slow with this diet, cause turning off sugar is hard. i mean extremely hard. i don’t recommend to anyone unless you’re ready to spend more time than you would ever like to read ingredients and cook >_>

  3. That’s not how dosing works Ana. You could hurt your health that way. Mega doses of vitamins are not going to help you. There is a reason that they are called MICROnutrients. You only need a tiny amount, and taking more than you need will either make rally expensive pee (if they are water soluble) or poison (if they are fat soluble).

  6. Be careful about going overboard with vitamin D supplements, as it is fat soluble and the body can’t excrete excess in the urine like it can water soluble vitamins.     I forgot I had this way to comment, I’ve been wanting to tell Ana to get a robot vacuum! There are awesome knock-off Roombas you should check out, as I feel those complaints about cleaning floors constantly. I got an iLife recently and with shedding dog hair it’s a real life saver. It was like $150 on eBay. And it has a mopping function!! I’m a huge fan.

  7. It is trippy, my family is Syrian and we are all super pale, with my sisters having blue and green eyes. Me and my older sister have darker features while my little sister looks totally white. I often get mistaken for mexican, persian or armenian because my last name ends in -ian. Having been to Syria, i can say its a complete mix of features.

    1. Mark them as complete bullshit. There’s a reseting of production notes and various other preparations they that requires a break to make the show actually flow smoothly. It also gives time for them to take in TYTLIVE tweets .
      Cenk has never sold out, TYT has never sold out. It’s not in their DNA.. check their 23 nd Me ;)

    My 18-year old daughter went for her check-up recently. They took blood and the results showed that her cholesterol was high and her Vitamin D was low. The doctor immediately wanted to put her on meds. She opted to use diet to alter her bloodwork. Hmmm… is Big Pharma trying to sell more cholesterol meds?

    1. I used GENO project (GENO2.0) from National Geographic for my DNA testing. They give you a code to log in with so you never have to give them your name. I got it as a gift so they don’t even have my credit card number or anything.

      I’ve never checked it for diseases, but I was able to download everything, so I have a list of ~200k alleles that I can check later

  19. 23 and me is cool. For a bit more you can also run an ancestry test. Ancestry.com’s test used to say in it’s TOS that it owns your DNA in perpituity.

  20. I suspect that TYT is now discouraging cursing because the show sounds bad on Sirirus if every other word is bleeped out.

    I doubt it has anything to do with corporate sponsorship. TYT doesn’t care about corporate sponsorship. They do want the news to get out though and having so many redactions detracts from the message while discouraging listeners.

    Same goes for sticking to a schedule. They have a two-hour show with commercial breaks that they must take on time to keep to the schedule. Did you notice they gave up the ‘overtime’ segment? It is simpler to just pick a format and stick with it.

    This is logistics, not politics.

    1. what is the bizarre pauses if NOT commercial breaks … they’re kissing corporate cock to get a cable channel deal – that’s why it’s spreading to ALL the shows … they’re selling out to be a channel as if that makes them ‘better’ … they think wider exposure is worth not being member run anymore … trust me – they’re trying to make a channel (I suspect for YouTube TV)

        Trolls and children might like to swear constantly but it grates on my ear when it gets out of hand like it has over the past couple of years at TYT.

        I have already commented in the member section that swearing too much takes the power out of it, and detracts from the message.

        It also feeds the cannabis hypomania of their chronic users (Ana and Jimmy, cough-cough) with agitated bickering that looks and sounds completely awful on camera.

        I am really happy that Cenk apparently agrees with me and no doubt Michael and Ben weighed in too. If the corporate influence they are undergoing is cleaning up their act that is a good thing IMO. They need to reach a larger audience to achieve their aims.

        TYT is not going to get the money out of politics by swearing at the choir.

  21. I just got my 23 & Me test results back the other day. Very eye-opening. The heath report was great, and you can submit your raw data into a few other websites that go into even more detail than 23&me does (something about how they can’t make certain claims AND offer the testing service, IDK). The ancestry stuff was fun too though. I learned that I’m related to some Irish king that I’ve never heard of from thousands of years ago, as well as some mysterious female viking military strategist.

  23. I had a vitamin D deficiency, I take a prescription vitamin D tab once a week and it raised it to a good level very fast. Instead of taking mass quantities of Vitamin D every day she should try the once a week pill. On dying young my sister in law died at 65 of pancreatic cancer, never got her Social security or to enjoy her retirement working until she got ill.

  26. Worked at McDonald’s. Big Mac’s have two 1/10 lb patties (or 1/5 lb of meat). However, the sauce is pretty fatty plus the extra bread. 1/4lbers are more traditional servings of burgers in the United States without that extra sauce.

    1. The best deal at McDonald’s is the double hamburger or double cheeseburger. Just as much meat as the Big Mac, less expensive, and without all the sauce and middle bun.

    2. Yes, IIRC half the calories in a big mac are in the sauce. Blows the DoubleCheeseburger out of the water as to how bad it is for you.

  29. I know they’ve talked about the ‘no longer swearing on the main show’ thing…. but I think it’s bullshit. I want to see the passion! And if the passion makes you swear in the heat of the moment, then do it! That’s what sets you apart from the mainstream crap… It’s engaging and real, and honest…. Censoring yourselves feels dishonest to me. Like you’re trying too hard to be fake/normal etc… I hate it. :( Makes me sad.

      1. I see your point, however I would argue that trying to do it less is, quite literally, censoring themselves. I want them to be uncensored in ever sense of the word. So if they’re about to swear and then catch themselves, and change it, it completely takes the wind out of my sails. That’s happened a number of times already, and that’s what I’m referring to. If you have to catch yourself and pause, you’ve ruined the passion.

        1. I also don’t really like this new rule, but let’s look at the cost vs benefit.

          The benefit is, that they can reach a larger audience, and as a result, they help spread the progressive movement. That is important now more than ever since all of the mainstream media is trying to shit on the progressive movement and smear Bernie. We need to be able to fight back.

          And the negative side is, they aren’t able to swear (as much). We all know what he means when he says “crap”.

          I guess you can say they’re censoring themselves, but I would much rather have them swear less often if it means that more people will fight on policy issues like Medicare for all, free college, DACA, etc.

          You also can’t say that they’re being dishonest. This is the same Cenk, and the same Ana, the only difference is that they’re swearing less often.

          I understand the point you’re trying to make, but in my opinion, I can put up with a little less swearing if it means a larger progressive movement.

          1. I admittedly don’t have much of a stake in the US Progressive movement. I’m Canadian. (Granted what happens in the US often greatly affects us) I simply started to watch because I was drawn in by how different they presented the news compared to what I’d seen on TV. It’ll be a time will tell thing to see if this really changes the feel of the show or not. And if not, great! But I’m also admittedly resistant to change, when it comes to things I find familiar/hold dear. I’m an autistic woman, and change is hard for me in that respect.

            So unfortunately I’m skeptical that it’ll be/feel the same. It’s how I’m wired. But I do hope you are correct!
            And I will adjust eventually… But for the time being, I’m super resistant to taking away one of the big parts of the show that made me connect with it in the first place. Severing that important connection/meaning is like cutting off your arm to many autistic people. We don’t know how to function without it, until we learn to adapt.

            But anyway, like I said. I hope you’re right! I want you to be right! I just unfortunately can’t see it as a positive for me, yet.

  32. Their clips aren’t shared or used by other media bc of their expletives. So ,in order to make themselves eligible for sharing,they’ve calmed down on this. It’s also comes across as trashy and unprofessional to a large majority of people,progressive and otherwise. They’ve discussed this extensively,guess you missed it somehow.

  34. the point isn’t always that people shouldn’t spend because they should hoard their money for their family after death, the point is that many people are starving and struggling and people spend money on outlandish thjngs, but I agree i dont think people should judge a nice lady for getting a fish pond.
