  1. Originally, employer-provided health care was a means for an employer to attract the best employees and retain them. Pensions served the same function. As it became more common and more expensive, employers might be open to single payer. However, employer-provided health care does tie workers to a company, so an employer who wishes to retain employees because of their skills or other reasons may still want this control. Alternately, one who wants to compete in selling its products overseas might want to externalize these costs.

  2. because we only have two political parties that why we still have this silly health care system dumbest thing I’ve ever seen

    1. It is worse than mere capitalism. It is FRAUD and DECEPTION about what ‘privatization’ is, and HOW these people get rich via privatizing everything. The truth is that they get to BILL THE FEDERAL GOVT ANY AMOUNT, providing massive exec salaries and millions/BILLIONS in profits. Meanwhile, they lie and create a smokescreen (devised DECADES ago) so that we think our federal govt has limited money! https://whatifitoldyouthis.blogspot.com/2018/02/privatization-biggest-scam-web-of-lies.html

  3. Thanks for the segment. It always helps to know who the possible bad actors are and when they start rearing their ugly heads.
