Huh. Who would have thought tyt hour one could put me to sleep right off the bat? Isn’t there a tyt sports for this? Oh they already did it. But Cenk felt the need to do it again.
Did anyone here see the “discussion between Cenk and Kyle Kulinski on #Russiagate?
I did, and I commented via 2 Moments on Twitter:

@ 45:35 Devin Nunes is projecting his projection. Lol
I’m guessing u r a Eagles fan, great game but best game ever. Giants Pats both where great games. The Pats always are in nail biters. Most definitely one of the best but not the best. Congrats, the Eagles deserve it.
Where do we find the Cenk/Kyle discussion?
There is no segment after Post Game. How do you expect members to find this video?
I thought someone might have found the secret clue to access.
Real treason is Trumplers attempt to undermine our democracy, bringing racism and fascism out of the sewer to rear their ugly heads, putting creeps in control of the various governmental agencies which they want to bring down., allowing the destruction of the environment and planet to allow billionaires to make more money on the backs of middle class workers, and so much more!
Seeing that Paul Ryan tweet story made me think of this scene from trading Places:

Cenk – I think that it is just as unfair to blame the current market downturn on Trump as it is unfair for Trump to take credit for the high returns before the past week. Though an indirect case can be made for both, its ill advised to speak of it so definitively. Its kinda like Climate change: no individual event is climate change, but they will happen more frequently.
Sane Financial outlets have been warning of lower than average returns for the next decade (about 4%) and that there will be a pullback because there is excessive speculation back in the market.
where is the link below? ohh it’s just for you tube.that’s f…. up!
I agree! I wish TYT put source links and donation links on the site!!
orr you could just google “Randy Bryce Donate”…
https://secure.actblue.com/donate/p4b4bryce
After Trumps impeachment, Nunes won’t even be able to get a job washing dishes at Mara-lago (btw my predictive text immediately offered ïmpeachment” after Trump)
Cancel my account. I have been asking for months yet I am still being billed monthly. I will continue to reject this charge on my credit card until you STOP billing me.
Again, CANCEL MY ACCOUNT!!!
Christine Gorewit
Hi there- have you tried clicking the “MY TYT” link at the top of the page? It opens a sub menu and in the center of the page:
“Cancel”
Are u unabled to cancel it yourself? Because everybody shall have the right to cancel their account and not be charged for something they dont want anymore?
Every day, I go out on my front porch and shout “cancel my account!” into the sky. And yet, the account has not yet been cancelled. Weird.
Cenk: “What would be so bad about Muslims being the majority in the US,
instead of Christians.”
I’ll tell you what:
If Muslims were in the majority in the US, this would be the end of liberty.
I’m an Atheist, but having to choose between a majority Muslim or Christian country,
I will certainly choose the Christian one.
There are no women wearing bikinis on the streets of Istanbul,
unlike in your beloved Miami, Cenk, and you know it.
Why don’t you just move to a Muslim country, Cenk, when there’s no difference?
Plus, Muslims will not take over America anytime soon, that’s true,
but they might take over Europe due to their higher birthrates / family influx at some point.
And that’s not going to be pretty.
(I’m not talking about Syrian refugees.)
I work at a school with about 70% Muslim kids in Europe, believe me, I know the reality.
I’d prefer an Atheist majority, but it’s never going to happen.
Your anecdotal experiences are probably not indicative of reality as a whole.
An atheist or secular majority is not a panacea, it can be pretty oppressive and even dangerous once it is married with ideology.
A live and let live policy is the only proven way to have a successful country, this is why the US is so great.
Well said.
No you don’t and your Istanbul comment is telling, I have been to Istanbul and many other cities in officially secular muslim countries and while there is more conservatism than western Europe it is still far more liberal than Europe was 40 years ago and that is saying something.
And muslims are not taking over Europe, their birth rates are slightly higher than natives (1.5 for Turkish-Germans vs 1.3 for natives for example) but still below the replacement rate (2.2/woman) in France, Germany and the Netherlands. Immigration is what makes their numbers grow but based on all demographic analyses their numbers won’t cross the 10% figure overall within our life times.
Finally, just because a country is a christian country does not mean it is swimming in liberty. Most African countries are officially democratic and Christian but are farther from liberty than most Islamic countries with several countries in a state of defacto theocracy.
Go back to Brietbart with this tired, bigoted “Invader” garbage. I feel bad for the students at your school that they have to deal with prejudiced adults like yourself who harbor such ill feeling towards them.
Cenk you called them out a great job.
The day Nunez says something accurate WE will cover it.
Glad to see you feeling better.
Aspriation may do better than the average bank, but if you try your local Credit Union there’s a chance you’ll get way more than 1% interest. At my local CU I get 2.5% (not 0.25% or 0.025%, but it REALLY is 2.5%!) on my checking account alone, incredible! I also have free checking, zero ATM fees at any ATM, no minimum balance required, and no yearly fee. It’s perfect. Ditch banks altogether. Credit Unions are member owned and they help support your local community.
We switched to a credit union years ago, after the Big Banks got their Golden Parachute.
Great decision, and they also have the same no fees/higher interest rate! They are closer to what the old school banks were and we get great personal service.
When my kids graduated HS and were inundated with College Student credit card offers, we went to our CU. With myself & my husband as co-signers, they got very low credit limit cards.
Now in their early 20’s they have excellent credit and still keep the low limit cards.
They still get card offer junk mail like crazy, but don’t need them.
My parents always used the teachers credit union, so it was a good lesson.
I switched to credit unions in the early 1980’s. Yes, they usually offer a bit higher interest rates for savings accounts. But my main reason for liking credit unions is that I disagree with the concept of fractional reserve banking.
First of all there is no problem with Fractional Reserve Banking, it is the reason why we don’t see Bank Runs anymore (except in the US and funny enough almost exclusively on Banks not part of the Federal Reserve System).
Second, Credit Unions whether you like it or not are part of the fractional reserve system. They are insured by NCUA just like banks are insured by FDIC and they receive direct funding from the Federal Reserve (usually the regional reserve banks themselves):
https://www.frbsf.org/education/publications/doctor-econ/2005/march/credit-unions-regulation-supervision/
What are you talking about? Fractional Reserve is the only way TO have a run on the bank. If the banks were required to have total reserves on hand, there wouldn’t be a run, because all your money would be at the bank. The run happens, because you know that all the money isn’t there, so if a bank is starting to fail, you want to get your money out before they run out of all their reserves.
How in god’s name would you have a banking system if all deposits are required to be at hand?
In your case you will be paying the bank to keep your money not the other way around because the Bank will effectively become a giant safe with people inside it.
so you’re saying you can’t have any kind of banking without fractional reserve, but fractional reserve was implemented to help stop runs on banks? so, were there runs on banks before there was banking?
To a certain extent yes.
Banks loan to people from depositor money not from the bank’s own money because the totals simply don’t add up. Gross bank equity (the bank’s own money) anywhere in the world are a tiny fraction of the total loans (11.7% in the US).
In order to meet the demand for loans either the bank lends from depositor’s money and pledges its assets as collateral and the government provides addition insurance (aka Fractional Reserve Banking+FDIC+NUCA) or the bank only lends based on the size of its assets in which the economy will return to its 18th century roots of Private Banking when only the rich and corporations got loans because Fractional Reserve Banking did not exist.
The entire world economy as we know it will cease to exist.
As for Bank runs, they are a normal part of the system and all economies insure depositors up to a point and virtually all poor people with savings will escape free from a bank collapse. The haircut, as what happened in Cyprus, falls on Rich people with savings of $250k or more. Anything below that is safe.
Gotta say there’s never been a football game in history that has come anywhere close to being as good as a Stanley Cup Playoffs game. I sure hope you don’t forget to talk about how great those games are when they come up in a couple of months. ;)
It should be noted that Aspiration isn ‘t a real bank.
You actually have to have a checking account from some other big, awful bank. You can’t sign up without one. What a bummer.
Really! that reminds me of the energy company that was touted by TYT — except it wasn’t an energy company, it was just a middle-man between you and your real energy company, with additional fees for their “service.”
In 1987, Nike used the Beatles “Revolution” to sell sneakers.
In 2018, Dodge uses an MLK speech to sell cars.
#gross
Was a good game. I found it quite boring but still good, best game ever, not even close.
OMG– was I the only one who didn’t watch the Super Bowl? ?
Nope. I, too, didn’t watch the SB. Football is boring to me. I prefer baseball (best attended at the park) and ice hockey (okay at rink but best on TV/online for replays).
I find cricket more enjoyable than baseball, having seen loads of both live and on the telly.
Couldn’t disagree more re: ice hockey being better on TV. The live atmosphere of a game is unparalleled, but replays don’t define my level of excitement based on seeing a replay, so each to their own there.
Errr, my bad (based on seeing a replay).
All about hockey here, I’m from Hockeytown and now I live in the State of Hockey, so I get to root for the Wings AND the Wild!
Fuck YES. I knew there was a reason I usually agree you.
GO WINGS!
Cenk, I’m repeating myself here–I’ve said this before– but have you ever asked “Why do Republicans strangely seem to love to increase the Federal Deficit every time they have the opportunity? ” Think about it! It’s a great benefit for the rich donors. One trillion in Federal deficit means one trillion in US bonds that can now will be available to be purchased by the same people that got great tax reductions using their tax savings! With that extra saved money they can now INVEST their money in 1 trillion bonds–which THEY will benefit in two ways: first as those bonds are used for government tax expenditures that benefit the same way all citizens benefit from tax expenditures. BUT EVEN BETTER: they will get EVERY PENNY of this back when their bond matures. PLUS INTEREST. Paid for by whom? The suckers who got the crumbs in the first place, who LATER will pay for it when the increased deficit that will require more taxes to pay the interest the rich investors will receive.. Furthermore higher bond demand will INCREASE interest rates on their investment- ANOTHER BONUS for the rich investors. It’s tax money they pay where they get ALL their taxes back plus interest.
Oh, also, they get to get to brag about immediate great tax reductions that their deficit provided.. By the time the increase in taxes for interest happens it will all be forgotten. – EXCEPT that this will be a great excuse later to explain why we must reduce medicare expenses and social security benefits.
Frankly that they get away with this with no one noticing this I find disgusting. You need to mention this.
Ralphy. Super great well-written perspective. I say we just need to stop listening to the Right. Similar to how they did Obama. Stop working with them and grow a set. Basically, they no have morals or values. One book he needs to read is the little boy that cried, Wolf. But unfortunately, the Right Wing is like a broken clock. It will he Right twice a day and the Left will shine a light on the broken clock. I say throw it away and get something that works.
You were more succinct and insightful than Cenk has ever been, on any subject, so you should apply for the job. ;)
Excellent analysis, I would add this: They pay no tax on those bonds or their income because it is tax exempt (for good reason).
im so out of the football loop that i was like pshhh cenk accidentally called the eagles the falcons LOL
little did i know theres a whole other team dedicated to bird!
Also, the Dolphins/Chargers never played in a Super Bowl. You’re thinking of a divisional game from 1982.
I was wondering when the Chargers played in the NFC.
Cardinals, Ravens, and Seahawks. :)
Where is hour 2.?
I do not personally know any millionaires. Since Congress is chock full of them, it seems reasonable to understand them somewhat. With Paul Ryan’s recent tweeter debacle, it seems that he views the financially-unendowed as lesser beings who are unworthy if he considers them at all in his machinations. As a result, I think he has earned himself a nickname, and it is up to us to give it to him. I thought of two possibilities:
Buck-fifty Ryan or
12-bits Ryan
If anyone feels inspired, please, reply with what you think would be a deserving nickname for Prevaricating Paul.
To borrow from Dead Kennedys: Kill the Poor Pauly.
We need Jimmy Dore on the main show. He’s a true progressive with integrity. I never watch the main show if the Clinton -corporate shills (Ben M. and Michael Schure) are on. I can watch MSNBC or CNN for corporate talking points. Aggressive Progressives is TYT at its best.
Sorry! I have to disagree. The sanity in political dialog is rarely on the extremes. It’s too easy to always look to just one side. If that’s all TYT offered, I’d be gone.
So you want the whole network to fall in line with your preferred echo chamber? No thanks.
Ben and Michael have valuable and informed perspectives that deserve to have a spot at the table. They aren’t “shills” or “without integrity” just because you don’t care to hear what they have to say.
Eagles….you keep saying Falcons….
i caught that too, lol
Hour 2? Dan Rather?
where is hour 2
Has the Young Turks ever turned anyone away from them, after seeing more of their content? I love the show and all the network shows, though the more I saw of Jimmy Dore the more I didn’t like (the Seth Rich conspiracy theories and endless talking about democrats)
Oddly enough, before he went psycho with the Trump defending and Russia denial, I agreed with him more than any other political commentator. I bought his book and everything. But I keep having to unsubscribe and then resubscribe to his channel. The majority of his comment section is alt-right trump supporters who hate TYT and he seems to be content with that, which is odd.
Jimmy doesn’t really seem to disagree with other tyt hosts on anything except the importance of the russia story, and wether or not you should vote for a third party(I think you should, but I also think there should be ranked choice voting).
For at least 17 years the nation has never been so overwhelmingly united overall on one single issue, and probably not since winning WWII has the nation has ever had such overall relief and joy shared among such a majority of the population; all thanks to Big Dick Nick Foles and his balls of steel to defeat the evil empire of the patriots. The rigged game last year just made everyone come together in unanimous hatred even more strongly this year, and finally we feel that great relief not felt since goofy Eli Manning stopped them from a perfect season. Everyone must have woken up this morning making sure it wasn’t a dream. Doesn’t matter if the Steelers are the only team with 6 Super Bowls, NOBODY wanted the Patriots to be the team to catch them. Thank goodness we didn’t have to suffer even worse patriot gloating and Brady cock suckers, they’ll never stop, but at least it didn’t have to get even worse, at least they get another big L. Hopefully something great happens like coach B retires or resigns or something to end this evil empire. People won’t hate the Patriots much at all any more even if they win again as long as Brady and coach B are gone. So get them both gone already and the pats can be a normal team again instead of the whole country vs them. Why do they have to be in the weakest division in history every year for the last 20 years? That’s what makes it so easy for them, like Lebron in the east always making the finals. The pats always win the east and get home field advantage because they rake in the wins against such a shitty division. 6 easy wins every year, basically byes, a 6-0 handicap. Anyway, thank goodness the pats lost.
Dan Rather never got posted up. Meh.
Never doubt Gigi. She gets things done.
Thanks!
