  1. Unlike some of the other commentators, I find your self awareness and confidence charming, specially when you “fail with jokes”. I don’t want to feel like I’m watching a rehearsal, I actually enjoy the company as it almost feels like I’m there with you.

These guys aren’t claiming to be funny. In fact if you watch the show you’ll often hear Cenk being made fun of, albeit with love, by the other hosts.

Keep being who you are! Relate-able, humans, and goes without saying; Very stable geniuses!

    From Sweden.

    1. unlike some other countries, I love Sweden. I love your socially democratic welfare state, your 480 days of paid parental leave, your Allmansrätten, your Swedish language, your film history, your fjords, your always appearing near the top of the OECD better life index, that your richest 20% only make 4 times your lowest 20% (it’s double that in the US), and I would marry you today if you could give me Swedish citizenship.

  2. John, Cenk, you guys are the biggest dorks and I wish you were as funny as you think you are because the two of you together make me cringe when your jokes fail

      1. Seriously though! I think they’re hilarious… you don’t have to be negative; just don’t listen if you don’t like it.

      2. if you don’t love something 100% and never make one complaint about it EVER, then DON’T WATCH IT. Hi, I’m six years old.

  3. The memo (and this is speculation of course) is probably really stupid and completely silly and serves them better being this mysterious thing that the Deep State won’t let you see. Now, as some reports are saying, if Trump helped write it, he will not think it’s stupid and yeah, then I could see him releasing it. I actually think if it does get released it would be bad for Trump and Nunes. We will probably see.

    1. Ana’s great, it’s not a zero sum game, she’s on the second hour exclusively. I find John’s analysis and synthesising of facts most relatable and at least for me, the greatest presenter asset tyt have. It’s not a criticism but a stylistic observation, John seems to present the information and analysis without the viewer being able to see the cogs spinning in his mind working out what to say next. It flows eloquently and fast.

      1. Sure John has good analysis but (for me) Ana has more passion, humanity, and empathy – at least that I can see visually and hear in her voice, etc. John can help me understand a story sure, but Ana makes me FEEL the story. I also feel that having more people on each panel (especially vs. Cenk by himself) gives me more perspectives and a deeper understanding which I feel is valuable.

  4. The flu is really bad here in the northeast too. They were saying that this years vaccine wasn’t as effective as other years. Hope you continue to feel better Cenk!

    1. It’s here in Houston, TX too, Kate. I believe I read that this year’s vaccine is only about 30% effective, but that it does help lessen the length and severity of your flu and the officials are still saying the season hasn’t peaked yet and everyone should still get the shots done (especially the elderly, children, and immune-compromised like HIV/AIDS). I also read that the vaccine can be the difference between having to be hospitalized from the flu vs. being able to treat it with antivirals and bed rest. Pneumonia is also bad this year, and there is a vaccine for that too (though I think it takes 2 shots over 2 months).

  5. It would be nice if you could recognise one of your former contributors who told you all about the Baltimore police dept and how corrupt they were. I don’t care that have fallen out, Michael A Wood had a lot to say about this particular issue and what could be done to make the system better

    1. I don’t know what the falling out was (if in fact there was one) with TYT and him. What I will say is from my perspective I like most of his ideas of police reform and views on policing in general and has interesting personal experiences. One major issue though is he is a very poor communicator and tends to insult the intelligence or even the ability of one to question his viewpoints. It doesn’t do him a lot of favors in a culture that currently largely doesn’t believe in or agree with his policing philosophy. I wish he’d take some media literacy courses or something as I think that would help his message a lot.

      1. Don’t disagree with that, but the specific example of Baltimore police I feel is something that would have added value in that segment. I saw some derogatory tweets from him directed toward TYT a couple of months ago so I guessed they had a falling out

  6. Cenk. If you have this year’s flu, you might want to get checked out by a doctor. I don’t know what that shit is but we’ve been calling it the Plague around here (Midwest). That mess will take you down, take you down, far down.

    1. Absolutely. It’s been pretty bad here in the DC Metro area too. Cenk really isn’t doing himself or his staff any favors going on the show in his state. Some of our local hospitals have notices posted on their doors asking people not to visit unless it’s absolutely necessary so the flu doesn’t spread. Have that great crew of yours fill in and come back refreshed on Monday. Get well Cenk.

  7. In The Netherlands, toymakers are not allowed to make toy guns that look like real guns. So they can’t use dark colors (black, grey, brown) and must use bright colors (red, pink or orange).

Although guns are heavily regulated in The Netherlands, however, gunmakers are not allowed make real guns that look like toy guns.

  8. Everyone needs CHILL THE F OUT. THANK GOODNESS we all don’t think alike on every topic. Mainstream is entirely clueless or intentionally biased. Here we have a network that supports independent thought and because people are still dealing with nonhealing wounds from the election…give me a break. No one should tell you who you should vote for and no one at TYT did. Some might of felt passionate about certain candidates, but ultimately it was your right to vote freely. Don’t demonize those who voted for Hilary or Jill Stein. If we agree on 90% the significant progressive policies and agree corporate Dems need to go, that is what is most important. Lastly, Trump as President is indeed a horror show, but it has awakened many who had no idea or chose to continue to stick their head in the sand. Having him in office will make it easier to “sell” progressive ideology and policies to middle/middle right Dems.

    1. Fully agree. I think a lot of it is people that want to make themselves feel like martyrs for what they feel is a more high minded choice/vote. The reality is any choice or even not voting are all just as legitimate choices. That’s part of the concept of a democratic society.

    1. I feel the need to also thank any other TYT staff involved with the quick uploading of this video. Well done.
