  3. 28:50 — It’s like in the movie “The Farmer’s Daughter”, when Loretta Young is at a political rally, and she’s marveling at the fact that people are applauding all the politicians’ BS, and Joseph Cotten tells her that at these events if someone stood up and yelled “Fish for sale!” they’d applaud. He then proceeds to prove her to her — “FISH FOR SALE!” (*CHEERS AND APPLAUSE*)

  6. Fantastic show! My only complaints is I can only share the first segment. Everyone needs to hear ALL of this. As usual, Aggressive Progressives nailed it.

    We hear bullshit at every turn and everywhere we look. Hearing you guys drop so much truth can sometimes feel overwhelmingly emotional (weird?). It is really sad that sincerity and truth is so scarce. Much more than sad actually….disturbingly fucked up.

  7. I think I would lose it without you guys. The prevailing tacit acceptance of business-as-usual which does nothing to call out the Democrats boggles my mind. Cenk’s recent rants against third party voting, misrepresentation of those calling out the Russia probe & endless analysis of Trump’s character flaws is not news nor useful to the Progressive agenda. It’s a regurgitation of the establishment party line. I’d give up my subscription to TYT if your show was not on the network. Your plain talk is a tall glass of pure mountain water. I should know. I’m from Vermont. I voted for Bernie in the general election and would do it again in a heartbeat.

  13. I agree with a lot of these comments, getting tired of Cenk’s Hillary was awful but you’re an idiot if you didn’t vote for her in the general rants. It’s an establishment neoliberal talking point & makes no sense. I thought we were in a revolution because the system is corrupt? Cenk’s argument rest on the assumption that if Hillary would have won we would be ok & therefore no need for revolution. Is the system only broken because Trump & Republicans are heading it? From what I can tell the country’s ownership hasn’t changed for decades. Thank you Jimmy, Stef & Steve for pointing that shit out.

  19. Neo-liberalism IS the problem with the Dem. party. And corporate Democrats that are in office right now or who are running in 2018 must be fought and kicked out. All our frustration, anger, outrage and energy should be directed at these primaries at all gov’t levels from school boards to the senate because getting progressives in and neo liberals out is the only short term (2018) and long term solution to fixing the rot in the Dem Party.
    Having a fucking meltdown on every fucking video and every 7 mins on this show, no matter the subject, about how fucked Obama was (and he was) and repeating over and over and over the history of corruption of Obama and neo liberalism will not get a single progressive a win in a primary.
    Racing over terrible things Trump is doing right now in order to get to a rant about how Obama did the same does nothing in fighting today’s fight.
    All your ranting is for yourself. It teaches nothing; it solves nothing.
    I’ve been a member of the Jimmy Dore Show for a decade. Your thing was that you were funny and political and smart. Now you’re just ranty and repetitive. Shame.

    Not just at the SOTU but every day.

    Where was the family of Heather Heyer? She was killed doing the MOST American thing, protesting white supremacists & Nazis in Charlottesville!
    Or ANY victim of Alt-Right violence, for that matter.

    My daughter was born in 2001. She has never known a world without the US being “at war.”
    She’s in high school now and every fall & spring, EVERY YEAR, there’s some “Support the Troops” fundraiser. Everyone has to buy camo tees and ribbon car magnets.

    It’s all meaningless. It’s like celebrating Presidents Day. Everyone is all patriotic for one day, and then it’s all forgotten the next day.

  21. As a ‘foreigner’ the SOTU coverage left me feeling almost physically sick and somewhat depressed and hopeless and I have seen a lot. I keep my eye on what is happening in the U.S.A. because when America sneezes the rest of the world catches a cold. Never have I seen such sycophancy, xenophobia, war mongering, pandering to corporations and also outright lying and disinformation.
    What ass-kissing, servile foot wipes are Pence and Ryan, how sick to watch those two. Trump the Orange dotard mentioned god and Ryan points to the heavens as if the forever invisible one was taking notice of this cabal of cowardly, empty headed plebs ahd anything of note to say. I fear for the world with this lot of shit shoveling cretins in power, the world has a lot to fear from this administration. The 2018 primaries can’t come quickly enough for me and if voting brings no significant change, other means will be necessary!

  24. Also, this Kennedy took big pharma money too and then voted against legalizing marijuana. Kennedy is like 2 Bush’s and trying for 2 Clinton’s, this is not a monarchy by vote. That shit needs to stop! We need leaders with fresh ideas, not leader who keep repeating the same mistakes.

    2. I didn’t know what you were talking about, so I googled “kennedy car lake”. As I started reading about the Chappaquiddick incident I first laughed, then I felt bad as I kept reading, and then outraged. It was an emotional rollercoaster.

  37. I liked Steve’ Oh’s point about the soldiers that we don’t take care of them. We don’t, and I thought that is why the vets weren’t smiling but I wasn’t sure but I would have liked the Dems to boo and make more noise about all of Trump’s lies and bullshit. They were mostly silent, which isn’t good enough, they needed to be heard while Trump was talking, such utter bullshit.

  42. I like Kennedy, he seems like a nice guy and maybe his heart is in the right place, but he comes off like every other politician, that does not cut it for me.

    Bernie’s speech on the other hand was great, he tells it like it is and gives us potential solutions, not just what our problems are, we already know what they are.
