Agreed. I think it’s echo in addition to the guest having inexperience with using a mic, plus a mumbling issue (much like Ben Mankiewicz). You have to mike people who have a widely modulating voice with much more precision. Whatever is going on with the sound tech, it’s not been up to snuff over and over. You really have to get on this, TYT!!!
As for the interview itself, it was interesting, if a little meandering. As always, Nomiki did a great job. No one can control how their interviewee is going to answer a question. Obviously, Heyward has a lot of knowledge. Next, it would be great to have an actual representative of DSA, perhaps a panel of members, not just higher ups. DSA isn’t the type of a group that has a leader, or one chapter that can speak for all. I think that would be a very interesting interview.
And thank you, Anna, for pointing out that we have a two party system that has always had the door closed on anything more. In order to make third parties+++ viable we will need a controlling party that makes changes to the Constitution in order to open that up!
There is also no “party line” in DSA because it’s not a political party.
Overall, sound made this video almost unwatchable… AGAIN. It doesn’t matter how solidly Nomiki nails it if the sound isn’t up to snuff.
I found the audio for the guest difficult to hear clearly. In part this was caused by the echo in the studio and possibly a misplaced mike on the guest. Nomiki was clear enough.
It is frustrating and this not the first time the audio quality of Nomiki’s interviews have been inadequate.
Whoever is responsible for these failures needs to up their game.
