  1. Hey Jimmy!! Can you have a show in NYC?!? I would love to attend. Also…maybe you guys can come up some good merchandise that says something about “our reps” in Congress that says donor/owner on it. :-)

  2. Love watching Jimmy. He is correct the only way to fix this broken and corrupt system is with a revolution. The Republicans are self-serving greedy bastards and down’t give a damn about ordinary people. Any non-millionaire who votes Republican is an uneducated moron as they are voting against their own interests. Unfortunately having said that, voting for the current neo-liberal corporate Democrats is like voting for a Republican-lite version of the same. The Democrats are just as corrupt and morally bankrupt as the Republican’s, only more so as they once represented the ordinary people.

    1. He probably won’t. He likes them, they are his friends from a long time back. You mostly don’t abandon friends and family when they’re in the wrong direction.

      1. James works with lots of people on the Jimmy Dore Show. There’s Stef, Ron Placone, Graham Elwood and about a dozen other regular guests, as well as an endless supply of progressive personalities…and of course, his producer, sound guy, and other technicians.

        By leaving TYT, he wouldn’t be abandoning the above people – all of whom are his closest friends – merely devoting more time and resources to them.

  6. People don’t understand that the price of the stock market is no longer tied to the well being of our economy, but how much our government is willing to screw the average citizen. It takes a long time to break free of the conditioning; seeing rising unemployment and under employment while the stock market rises.

    As much as I loved this episode, Jimmy really needs another foil. It’d help tee him up, and help transition from Jimmy’s elevated high strung rant back into discussion. Hope you bring Elwood back some time.

  7. Dick Durbin cast a procedural vote that allows Bernie’s amendment to be reconsidered in the next round of debate. Even if all three democrats had voted for this amendment, it would have been defeated. I believe Durbin would have voted for it if his vote would have changed the outcome.

    I try not to explain anything with conspiracy that I can explain with stupidity or laziness, but this does seem odd. Especially since the net-neutrality vote is coming up this month on the 14th.

        You could also try a different browser if you don’t want to clear your cache.

I cant stand the skipping Brocken record repeat on TYT videos last few months have been very difficult to watch… Jimmy Dore just spent five mins on replay & still only got four fraction of sentences like a Brocken record hearing each piece three times then the next fraction of the sentence three times, then skips forward to a price of another sentence & does that bit three times & i cant fkn take it!!! FIX THE DAMN BROCKEN RECORD!!!!

  11. There is one problem I am finding with this show,it is TOO SHORT. I am sure no matter how long you make it, it will still be too short. I love Jimmy and Stef and learn so much from them. They are the kind of young people (yes compared to me (71) they are young) I love to have in my life.

    This show may be a bit more emotional than I am used to but it is honest, informative, inspiring and makes ne want to make a difference some way.

  12. I agree with Jimmy, the rich who control our government aren’t giving up that control & power without a fight. I truly hope that when we do take to the streets in mass it will be peaceful until that’s no longer an option. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I don’t think the 1% are history buffs.

With a corporate, Republican lying buffoon as president and an ineffective, corporatized Democratic opposition party, the USA, while being the richest and most powerful country, has become the world leader of corporate, gangster capitalism, where compared to other major countries people work longer hours with less time off.
    Its celebrated, deregulated “free-market” ideology has decimated a once prosperous middle class into a minority, 78 percent of fulltime workers say they live paycheck to paycheck, and
    45 million people have been driven into poverty.
    It also has become the only country that practically deprives 28 million people of healthcare because they cannot afford the necessary healthcare insurance. Its population has the shortest lifespan of all major countries and its infant mortality rate is one of the highest in the world.
    Yet most Americans have been brainwashed in believing that because they are living in the richest capitalistic country in the world, equipped with the most powerful military forces, that their standard of living is higher than anywhere else on this planet.
    With decades of dumb-downing we here have become like a herd of sheep accepting pretty much the ever growing damaging wealth and income inequality as the norm. Perpetual austerity has become the accepted reality, which is exactly where corporate America wants us to remain.
    The Republican tax cuts are atrocious. They represents the corporate “I-got-mine, screw-you” sentiment of today. It is all part of this country having become a “rotten captive of corporate loot.” ( Mike Lofgren).

  17. I love Sarandon, and of course Jim and Stef! Being from Saratoga Springs in Upstate NY, I worked hard on the primary for Bernie. When BERNIE won the 21st district 6000 to 4000, our state Senator Paul Tonko (a fucking NeoLiberal HillBot and super delegate) still voted for $hill! What an asshole. Turned out he walked in the foyer of my cousins home for a Xmas party on December 9, 2016. Just him and I. I truly shamed him for his lack of representation to his constituency! I have to attend the same function tomorrow. Can’t wait to Bitch his ass out! Fuck the Dems, and I voted Stein after the witch committed election fraud in NY.

  19. Dick Durbin’s “No” vote on Bernie’s amendment to protect Social Security and Medicare was reportedly a procedural move so that the amendment can be brought up again. He does not seem to deserve the sharp criticism that Jimmy doled out. See Heavy.com or listen to Secular Talk for details .

    1. The minority leader is normally the one that has to vote no, to later bring the bill back up. So did Schumer not vote?

    2. Are you nuts? Anyone who says dems should not be “Too Liberal” or they’ll give Trump another term, which is exactly what Durbin said, deserves ALL the criticism that can be garnered. Durbin is NO friend of progressives. Had he supported Bernie’s amendment, perhaps it could have passed.

    Hatch graduated BYU in 1959. FIFTY EIGHT years ago.
    He’s been in Congress since 1977. FORTY years.

    I honestly think he has no idea what “poor or lower-middle class” means in America.
    He’s also Mormon, which are some of the biggest hypocrites in the Republican Party (which is saying a lot).
    Mormons who ignore their fundamentalists who have child brides & polygamy.
    FLDS members who specifically put their additional wives & children on welfare & medicaid.

    Maybe that is who he is referencing, when he talks about sick-kid moochers, his relatives.

      Jimmy and Stef were such a great combo, on point, such great substance.

      Everything they said, (well with the exception of the solution being a third party, but it’s cool) is straight from my heart. I feel so represented by this network.

  24. FYI there seems to be a problem with the show. It loops back, repeats segments, and seems to be missing sections of the show altogether. Maybe ISP’s are gearing up in advance to fuck you guys over once net neutrality is rescinded. Just saying. Flush the Toilet!

      2. It’s all about the money. The country is run by ADDICTS – money addicts. That is why we have been so screwed for decades.

        They defund our programs and systems so they can TAKE THEM OVER – because whoever runs a privatized system gets to bill the federal govt ANY AMOUNT, providing massive exec salaries and BILLIONS (typically) in profits. Our defense is mostly privatized – and the addicts ensure constant and multiple wars for the constant profits.

        We need to BREAK UP the war manufacturing companies, and they must NEVER be ‘for profit’ – because the greedy addicts want money, and they LIE, CHEAT, STEAL and KILL (here and in other countries) in pursuit of their next ‘money fix’. And we need public control of defense, federal prisons, a nationalized healthcare system, and public control of ENERGY, INTERNET, WATER and everything that is GOOD FOR ALL and that they want to CONTROL to screw us and enrich themselves.

        And – how can they bill the federal govt ANY AMOUNT?? Because they have LIED TO US FOR DECADES about our country’s money – it is NOT ‘finite’, we are NOT ‘in debt’ (i.e., the national debt is NOT a debt but is actually our ‘national SAVINGS account’), the deficit is NOT a bad or scary thing (but deficit spending that the addicts do goes to the RICH who stash it in bank accounts, when it should be targeted to PEOPLE WHO NEED IT and who will spend it into the economy!), and so on.
        See the professors of economics on the youtube channel Deficit Owls, for starters. Blew my mind and got me FIGHTING MAD!!!!
