  1. I think the “only 18% would still back a politician” is bullshit. Look at the number of people (even on this website) defending Al. HE PUT HIS HANDS ON A SLEEPING WOMAN. Democrats are pretty much as bad as Republicans on this from what I’ve seen and it’s been really disgusting to find that out

    1. While I’m not so sure it’s true that he put his hands on the sleeping woman, I agree with you that there is no defense for what he actually did to that same woman while she was awake. The picture was definitely in poor taste, and does portray someone who seems to think it’s fine to molest, or pretend to molest someone in their sleep. It is however up to him if he steps down, and up to his constituents if they decide they trust him to be re-elected going forward.

  2. I believe Black Sabbath sung in best in their song “War Pigs” when referring to Tom Cotton and his ilk

    “Gen’rals gathered in their masses,
Just like witches at black masses
    Evil minds that plot destruction,
    Sorcerer of death’s construction
In the fields the bodies burning,
As the war machine keeps turning
    Death and hatred to mankind,
    Poisoning their brainwashed minds
    Oh Lord yeah
    Politicians hide themselves away
    They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role for the poor, yeah
Time will tell on their power minds,
    Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
Wait ’till their judgement day comes, yeah”

  3. Joy Reid reminds me those in the show “Survivor” that are making moves so they can survive the game and reach the end. Joy is trying to people to notice her as part of the establishment and assign her a key position that will get her “donations” at one point.

  4. Is there anyone so naive that they don’t think Steve Bannon and the Alt Right have already begun weaponizing MeToo?

I am not a fan of Al Franken. That said… I believe the USO tour story, which happened before he ran for office. He has acknowledged it and apologized for it, and his apology was accepted. But all the more recent allegations of butt-grabbing during photo shoots (in large public events) have been made by Republican women, and the charge is impossible to prove or disprove. Rather convenient for the GOP that Franken has such a penchant for only touching Republican butts. I call BS on the whole thing. Does not pass the smell test.

If the Dems allow Republicans to drive Democrats out of office on charges this spurious and impossible to prove or disprove… it will be open season and not a Dem man will be left standing.

  5. Why do they never mention that Sanders is better than Hillary on women’s rights? Hillary has repeatedly said that she would be in favor of “some” restrictions on abortion, triangulating to the right.

    1. Because Hillary is a woman and that is literally all that matters to people like Joy Reid. As a woman, it drove me completely nuts to have “strong women” come out on tv and bash women like me for supporting Sanders. No man no matter how good on women’s issues can possibly be better than a woman no matter how bad she is on women’s issues. I am not being hyperbolic that is pretty much what they believe.

Joy Reid has beyond lost all credibility to me with how she handled this and I consider her a threat to women and women’s rights. There is nothing she won’t sell out, including but not limited to her gender, in order to get an establishment woman in the White House.

  6. Cenk, have you ever heard of “man haters”? Well I believe we have a group of them working for the dems right now. Joy Reid, Donna Brazil, and Hilary are a few, they want women in office at all cost. I see them as the opposite of men who are obsessed with only men in office. These women will never back a man.

  7. It is interesting that Cenk says it is a fact that Russia was involved in our elections.
However, Ana says there is NO evidence that DNC “rigged” the primaries.
She will concede to “manipulation,” but it wasn’t “rigging.”

So it is a fact that Russia “interfered” in the election.
But it is NOT a Fact that the DNC determined the Dem candidate through their “manipulations?”

    What’s the difference? Wording?

    1. They’ve been more than clear on this multiple times. Ana said there was no evidence of actually changing people’s votes. That’s all she means by there wasn’t rigging.

    2. Depending on the definition you use for “rigged”. Rigging implies that votes were changed to alter the result. Russia interfering is about creating propaganda to tilt the popular opinion in the direction that they want. I.E. pushing the whole “email” thing constantly and implying that Hillary should be in jail. These are two different things.

    3. Sorry, but Ana’s position on the subject is extremely volatile. I hate to say it, but she is not consistent on this.
It has nothing to do with what you believe is true or not or worse or not, but her reaction especially to Wikileaks is problematic and I also think she changed her opinion at least 5 times since Trump got elected – even Cenk is not as clear as it sometimes comes across. One point in time he says A is the smoking gun, then A is not so important, but B could be, a week later he again emphasizes B. Hate to say it, but it looks more like a straw, a small hope that the political wind can shift and get Trump impeached – it doesn’t seem to really matter for what exactly.

Unfortunately that attitude gets mixed up with real arguments and false accusations, so Cenk can always easily deflect – which is annoying as F. I would really love to say an actual debate between Kyle Kulinski and Cenk on the issue of Russia, but even if they both had time for it, I doubt that Cenk would see a benefit.

What I hate the most is that the person I overall trust the most, John, is also not very objective when it comes to the issue / thinks he has to control the narrative (like Ben :-( )

      1. Agreed! No consistency!

Ana splits hairs by saying “rigged” means votes were changed, but “manipulating” is not the same thing as “rigged” cuz there’s no proof, even though rigged & manipulated have the same definitions just depends on what you mean … But provisional ballots not being counted and Brooklyn residents having their party affiliations changed is NOT “rigging,” because there’s no votes being actually change, just people can’t vote but …

and all of this is still NOT as bad as Russia buying trolls on Facebook, or emails or… but then Russia is …. YYYAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!

    4. What show are you watching? Ana has only said that there is no evidence that they changed votes. She has been very firm in her belief that the DNC did everything in their power short of that to steal the primary from Bernie. My guess is you are just one of many people that simply hates Ana

      1. I’ve been a member too long to be an “Ana Hater.”
On the contrary, many times she has been the only adult on a panel of snickering 10yo.

The episode I’m referencing was last week I think. She fairly had a fit about how their was no evidence of “rigging” during the election, in a hair-on-fire way. Cenk had to step in with – ahh, let’s not get into people’s definitions of rigging – but she still went off. She always gets fairly unhinged when talking about Russia., and it’s the same with he DNC’s primary RIGGING. It makes me think too-much of MSNBC.

  8. “Accused” is the operative word that Cenk is missing in regards to the last story about new sexual assault polls. The question didn’t say that it is credible, that there is compelling evidence, that it is confirmed etc, all of which change the context of the question. Certainly an accusation should not be enough to ruin anyone’s life, let alone tank a political candidate; this could be national politics we are talking about after all, which is a whole different ballgame than everyday life, where false accounts of sexual assault are incredibly low.

My fear is that sexual assault could be used as a terrible, immoral political football in order to stick a hatchet in a candidate, especially if we simply say that “allegations” are enough to disqualify someone. Due diligence must be done and we should take the accusation seriously and follow it up as thoroughly as possible, but I don’t think it’s a stretch to see how accusations of sexual assault could be used to disingenuously bury a political opponent, which very well might be the reason for so many people saying that “accusations” alone are not enough.

  9. Moore’s a hero! He personally set out to CHANGING the lesbians out there into good girls…and you gotta catch ’em young for it to sink in.

    1. OOpps, I left a line out.

“And he personally got as many as he could before he became the troll he is today, and can’t granny’s anymore,

  10. Whenever I see Cenk go solo, I realize I would be fine with him doing the whole show alone every night— or almost every night. John is a good foil, maybe the one exception.

    1. I also like to see and hear Ana –especially when her view is sometimes is different from Cenk. I like Cenk too, but he sometimes needs someone else who disagrees in case he over enthusiastically jumps off the track.

    2. I disagree. Don’t get me wrong I love Cenk but if it was just him this would show would rapidly become exactly what they are trying to battle. Other voices/opinions are very important to the health of TYT

  11. Great job on having this up already. Please keep it up. Super psyched about watching it now as opposed to waiting for it to be posted.
