On this week’s Aggressive Progressives, Jimmy Dore is joined by Malcolm Fleschner and Steve Oh talk killing net neutrality, US’s role in millions of civilian deaths worldwide, HRC and Uranium One, and Uber paying hackers to keep a massive data breach quiet.

this is pretty much the only show that keeps us paying for TYT, but its always extremely challenging to know if its playing or when it’ll be uploaded. please help us TYT!
TYT is totally out of shits to give.
I really cannot believe that they still haven’t uploaded the episode yet.
Why do I have a feeling that we’re going to hear – sorry, we had to cut AP due to lack of viewership.
Did they change AP’s time slot AGAIN without telling anyone?
Are they on Friday? Or Tuesday?
Thanx gods for Patreon.
No, they just continue to crap on members. Neither AP or Old School got uploaded, almost 24 hours later for AP. They’re just totally incompetent. What are they spending that $20mm investment on? Sure isn’t better member service.
I don’t feel badly about my comments, since it’s pretty clear that no one from TYT reads the comments.
Another week, another episode that either didn’t happen or wasn’t posted. No notice, no nothing. Screw TYT, I’m letting my membership lapse.
Watch old school, it was cenk, jimmy and steve. Don’t freak out.
I’d love to, but the incompetents haven’t gotten it up on the site yet.
It was on the members live stream you were able to seek on it. If they just let us do that all the time I would be good. No more frustrations, I’d rather have the just skip the commercials than have nothing.
It did happen, I think, as Stef tweeted that the livestream was going to start yesterday at noon Pacific.

You folks have been asking for Jimmy to comment on the Jordan situation. Which he has done – on the premium videos for JD Patreon contributers. I hope that he doesn’t mind my transcribing one part of that long commentary here, but 1) there is nothing very controversial in it IMO and 2) quite frankly, you guys deserve to get this information, especiallyif you’re subscribing just to watch Aggressive Progressives.
James starts off by saying that he “recommends that people watch the videos” (i.e. the interview with Tim Black, etc.). From there he goes on to say the following:
Sorry, that should read: “And then I find out that they DID fire him.” I’m too used to having an edit button not to make those kind of mistakes.
What this person said it spot on
Nowadays I generally only pay the TyT subscription price for this show. Exclusively.
This was fucking fantastic jimmy was right on some vital issues. Got to be honest aggressive progressive is the only reason i maintain my tyt membership. TYT mainshow has gotten so pro corporate so Russia Russia Russia I love that jimmy doesn’t buy Into this neoliberal propaganda and calls out the atrocities committed by the us war machine
I don’t thing Steve’s alternative framing dilutes Jimmy’s rants at all. I find myself looking at nuances I might not have considered thanks to both of them. Malcolm often offers historical things that shed further light. I wonder if Steve went to the library after this show and got some books on the Korean war. This kind of intelligent discussion among friends gives us a model for civil discourse. As for Alex Jone, no he does not gain credibility when he gets something right. Rather, he hurts the cause of those on the left who agree with him.
Has Jimmy said anything about Jordan on APs or his show? He could technically have Jordan on his show or I wonder if Cenk is like nope. Jordan was on all the time and his story needs 2 b out. Jimmy and Jordan were the only reason I pay a membership bcuz the others r not progressive on tyt. I can’t get AP if I don’t pay a membership tho which is bullshit!
You should watch Carly Hammond’s interview. It’s very eye opening.

Can anybody enlighten me on how many times the war in Yemen has been covered in the last two weeks on TYT’s main show?
wut, no audio-only link?
nevermind, internet is wonky
Probably should get used to wonky internets since net neutrality is more than likely about to be fucked. :< goddamn Ajit Pai piece of garbage human.
I don’t get the complaints with Steve Oh in particular. Dore does a great rant; we all know that. Oh really brings it in and makes you focus on the details of what Dore’s ranting about. That part about the Washington Post being semi-corrupt and thus more dangerous: great point that does not obviously follow Dore’s rant. It’s refinement, not moderation.
Great show. This and Jordan’s reporting was why I signed up for TYT.
I don’t either.
Jimmy is the emotion & passion, and generally it’s Steve or Malcom or Steph who bring in the resons & clarity to WHY he is ranting.
Plus, Steve looks cool in sunglasses. Maybe people are a bit jelly??
Aggressive Progressive viewers are not children. We are generally well-read, and well-versed in history and current events, and do not need Steve’s (or anyone’s) gatekeeper-style “refinement” re: Jimmy Dore’s views. Likely we can trust DuckDuckGo “refinement” more! DemocracyNow… TheRealNews… Abby Martin… ChrisHedges… TheIntercept… Instead of the assorted, shuffled players on Hours One or Two.
It is Steve’s and Malcolm’s views/opinions that would benefit from some “refinement.” They might benefit by checking themselves before weighing in. Replay former shows for self-study. Example: Steve’s former comment about the possibility of accepting Coke $ponsor$hip because HE likes drinking Coke was one of the most ill-informed and careless comments I have heard him make, and raised some eyebrows in comment section.
Where did all the fundraised money go? Would like to see a transparent accounting for how our donated funds were used. How does the new establishment buy-in register in all of this? Seems a fair number of members might be feeling bilked. How many of the “new” reporters that resulted from the crowdfunding have “side projects” elsewhere?
#JustSad
Steve Oh is great, and the combination with Jimmy works out well.
They basically play a show of “passionate cop, practical cop” but both of them are honestly progressive cops, and having them partner up while out on the beat makes them greater than their sum. They compliment each other really well.
Er, no thanks. As a well versed person, I love Steve Oh doing his thing. Jimmy by himself is just a loose canon of emotion and might as well be a lighter version of Alex Jones.
Dammit, now I need to hear Jimmy’s Swingers joke.
I’m repeating this question, but I’m interested to see if anyone has an answer.
If Jimmy moves on from TYT…
Who will be there most progressive host?
Who will be on consistently to contradict, or at least show the opposing view on the Russia hysteria?
Who will talk about the growing interest in a third party?
Cenk? Ana? John? Grace? Brett? Ben? Michael Shure???
No one.
TYT is generally progressive, but Aggressive Progressives? No.
You can’t say they’re AP material if Cenk spends entire shows on Trump & Putin’s Pillow-talk.
> Who will be there most progressive host?
Alternative question: who is their most progressive corporate investor? Their least progressive corporate investor? (Is there such a thing as a “progressive corporate investor”? I think it’s something of a contradiction-in-terms, actually.)
There are no answers to such crucial questions, because TYT will never give us those answers.
But you don’t need TYT in order to watch Jimmy Dore. And besides, there is a whole world of uncompromised progressive media out there, waiting eagerly for your grassroots support.
https://www.reddit.com/r/WayOfTheBern/comments/7ezzv6/i_just_cancelled_my_recurring_15month_donation_to/ (“I just cancelled my recurring $15/month donation to TYT . . . seeking your suggestions about where to redirect this money?”)
Just to be clear, the previous post was not an attack on YOU, my friend. Needless to say. I was just using your point – which is perfectly valid – as a jumping-off point to make a different point.
There’s a good chance I missed it, whatever it is, but has Jimmy or someone from TYT indicated he’s parting ways with the network???
No, not yet.
At the height of the Russia hysteria, Sam Seder (of TYT Network’s Majority Report show) suggested that Jimmy should be kicked out from TYT for the things Jimmy was saying. So did Ben and Michael, though they suggested it more subtly.
Sam Seder is just a dick.
He’s not progressive.
He enjoys being a Whiny Liberal who has no actual power to change anything.
That way he can complain and make jokes and cry about the Establishment.
But in the end he will vote for every Corporat Clintoncrat out there.
Cuz that is, ya know, pragmatic and shit.
Fuck Sam Seder and the corporately owned donkey he road in on.
To be fair to Seder, he does have some great guests on, genuine progressives with cojones. But yeah, in every other sense, agreed.
100% concur. We already know Ivanka and Junior were about to be indicted before Trump’s lawyer contributed to the corrupt DA in New York. There is a tremendous stench coming from Trump’s financials.
Great show, you guys. I just had a thought about the Trump Russian thing. Obviously, the mainstream media (MSM) is glomming on to it because of the Mueller investigation. For the most part, MSM thinks that the Russia connection will be central to the investigation. Here’s the thing: it’s been reported that soon after Mueller got the job as special counsel, the first thing he did was hire some of the best financial crime attorneys in the country. So, I think the key to Mueller’s investigation won’t necessarily be the Russia thing. I think it will be investigating Trump’s bullshit financial dealings through the years. This includes money laundering, welching on debts, bankruptcy filing, misreporting income. This is why those financial crime lawyers were hired. Trump will go down because he is a corrupt businessman. The result will be Trump loses everything and at least one of his children will go to prison. I think this is a pretty fair prediction. I look forward to next week’s show!
If we were in a betting situation, I’d bet it all on the investigation being about financial crimes (which do involve Russia, simply due to Putin/Russia /Trump financial ties) and even a half-assed effort in digging could reveal enough criminal activity to send the whole family to prison. But prison isn’t for meting out justice; prison is for people addicted to drugs.
I remember Jordan being interviewed once over Skype and he was panning around the living room at some of the women there, and I swear I remember thinking, he better be careful. Nobody does that on an interview on a show and it’s weird, and along with some ribbing I recall about being a lady’s man from previous Skypes in his car and mabe even from Jimmy, it’s like I had a premonition that this probably won’t end well.
I remember that too. Because of his reputation, we all wanted to hope that these warning signals were just false noise, and put it in the back of our minds.
There is NO sleazier piece on TYT than the one where Francis and his sports buddy narrate Cenk and Ana’s interchanges about sex and masturbation. Ending with Cenk as “that dog is having his best damned day.” Not a puritan here, but that was a bunch of gratuitous nonsense. It played every day, ceaselessly. Surprised Ana didn’t catch its overplay.
So spare the sanctimonious comments about “warning signals” in JC videos.
Cenk and Ana talk about masturbation and all sorts of crude stuff all day long which you can find all over the internet and even in their promos. That’ll probably come back to bite them too some day. If they’re much worse than that off camera I’d be surprised, but only because I may lack imagination in that area. :-)
Jimmy
Would you ever consider coming to Toronto? We’re pretty cool.
Come to Ottawa, it’s even cooler (literally)
I love listening to Jimmy, even if he goes over the top sometimes. But he is also hypocritical when he brings up Facebook and other sites censoring content. He blocked me on Twitter when I tweeted very mild criticism at him. Somebody who is a veteran of the comedy and political wars should have thicker skin than that. And I’m not even a hater!
Jimmy’s rant on Yemen is great, maybe one of my favorites.
Jimmy, please do not allow Steve and Malcom to walk back things that you say! Their commentary comes across as blatant censorship efforts. Speak your mind and soul and tell them they are not to MODERATE your views and performance. They should celebrate and add onto the nuances instead of impeding your flow of ideas. Thank goodness we have you on TJDS– uncensored by TYT. It must hurt Stef’s heart to watch how they gaslight your cutting edge ideas and delivery, because it hurts mine. Good that they come to see your live performance– they can learn a lot about being GENUINE, non-corporate community building, and developing intuition based on audience rapport signals from your modeling. They are about Ego, and holding forth on topics. That is not who you are.
keep on breaking stories we never hear.
Nice to see some important topics covered instead of the majority of the show dedicated to complaining about Hillary Clinton. Always great to see Steve & Malcolm – they should be on every show.
And Jordan was rightly fired. It’s been made it clear through his own admission regarding his abuse of managerial authority and unauthorized use of company funds for his own benefit that TYT made the right decision. It’s too bad he couldn’t learn his lesson on professionalism, given his absurdly inappropriate response on Twitter. Take responsibility like an adult and move on, he’s too old to be acting in such an embarrassing manner.
Jordan did this to himself, and has no one to blame but himself.
He is a good reporter and we need such, so I hope he learns from his mistakes and grows some real wisdom from this experience.
Sold out to the tooth fairy :(
Jordan will Skype in live on next week’s Aggressive Progressives.
Now that would be some must-see TV (er, YouTube Live thing).
You know, Jimmy Dore has a side project called jimmydorecomedy.com. Better hope Cenk Ugyur doesn’t find out about it.
And I hear that Jimmy Dore has an ongoing intimate relationship with a woman who works at jimmydorecomedy.com. I mean, sure, they’re married, but has Cenk Ugyur given his approval?
Yes, I am being somewhat facetious, but also making real connections to the Jordan Chariton firing and Cenk’s statement. The “side project” reason is BS and everyone knows it.
The whole thing looks to be a perl-clutching, conservative sex panic about how JC parties on his personal time (and how open he is about it).
So, seriously, Jimmy Dore, do you really think this isn’t going to happen to you if you stay honest and principled? Don’t you think you should stand up and defend someone who needs defending right now?
Assuming he didn’t get permission ahead of time, using company funds for his side project is unethical. That should have been obvious to Jordan.
Exactly what is he accused of spending? When, how, and how much? I’ve yet to hear one example.
Using money for his company, buying extravagant rooms (one with a hot tub is what I heard), using to buy alcohol. As to the exact number/time since he hired a lawyer they likely won’t say anything until it’s been settled. Then there’s the sex with his employees at his business, which is unacceptable.
TYT controls the funds. Accusing Chariton of improper spending months after the fact is not credible.
According to the heavy.com writeup, the accuser and other reporters were not paid for their work for TATM, and she became his girlfriend for a while. Rounding that up to “sex with his employees” is slanderous.
https://tytnetwork.com/2017/11/22/tyt-hour-2-november-22-2017-3/#comment-163056
I am a bit surprised that TYT fanboys mostly didn’t notice at all Cenk never explicitly specifying misuse of TYT money. He just threw out deft lawyerspeak that slanders Jordan while protecting his own balls from being put on a sling legally for defamation. EVERYBODY has jumped onto misuse of funds. Very, very unlikely that money was misspent, but Cenk simply chose to not use those words. That’s typically not how Cenk talks.
You’re right because having sex with unpaid interns is of course completely different than having sex with his employees.
And them allegedly dating afterwards of course negates the fact that she was an employee of his when all this happened.
Seriously though. What makes you think you (we the audience) deserves this inside information. Are you on the board of people at TYT that makes their decisions for them? No ; then you aren’t entitled to shit.
I’m kind of amazed at the anti-TYT rhetoric since this whole situation came out. You people don’t like it, cancel your membership and give your money to Jordan Chariton so he fuck people on your dime.
Oh, thanks for the advice, but I already did that. This is what I put out on his FB timeline today:
Dear Jordan,
I am one of the many people who donated multiple rounds into TYT’s journalism drive, the entire motivation for which was derived from the results your work yielded.
I don’t know the ins and outs of crowdfunding, but if you attempt a similar crowdfunded start of an independent journalism platform, you are assured my support, significantly higher, and more frequent than what I gave to TYT. I don’t know how many other people are thinking the same, but you might want to find out.
Exactly!!! If I owned a business and one of my employees was using company funds this way, I’d fire them immediately. Unfortunately, the conspiracy theorists want to find some nefarious intentions behind this whole thing when there are none. As the old saying goes, “it’s not personal; it’s business.”
> The whole thing looks to be a perl-clutching, conservative sex panic about how JC parties on his personal time (and how open he is about it).
Possible, but it also looks like a ruthless, corporate, brand-protection, kneejerk reaction. “Oh noes, what will the new investors think?” and that sort of thing.
YASSSSSSS! You nailed it.
Then there is the matter of Steve and Malcolm trying to “tone down” Jimmy’s rants. And their making patronizing comments that, while perhaps true in content, have a saccharine quality to them. Well-placed, like commercials scheduled between segments.
Cenk might think he is orchestrating positive, friendly, upbeat optics. But most of us see right through his transparent efforts.
Jimmy is a talented, smart, quick-witted, man. No wool can be pulled over those sparkling eyes of his. Even if the pulling is done primarily by someone who claims he is Jimmy’s friend, onscreen and off.
TYT needs Jimmy to stay and be kept visibly happy– it is “a good look” for TYT with the present backdrop of all the high drama.
Jimmy is a remarkable wit and superb entertainer. His shows are the best with Stef, Graham, and Ron. But– oh wait– that might invoke the “Jordan rule.” Careful now.
No one.
Jordan being gone (irregardless of the precise reasons, bottom line is he’s gone) is already a big blow to TYT’s progressive credentials.
Jimmy can’t uphold those credentials all by himself. He hasn’t even appeared on the Main Show since November 8 and that was three weeks ago. https://tytnetwork.com/2017/11/08/tyt-hour-1-november-8-2017/
And there is nothing that can be done about that. Despite ‘hiring’ all those journalists (most of whom are all off doing their own thing, anyway, away from TYT) there is no replacement for Jordan. Jimmy is not in a position to compensate for this, even less so if he no longer appears on the Main Show.
Agreed, and I have taken the suggestion and I’m slowly cutting the TYT cord.
Jimmy, as progressive as he is, is NOT a fierce terrier of a journalist who will pull that thread till he uncovers the truth on a story. And I don’t expect him to be. He has his own niche as a political satirist who brings up stories & info that no one else is talking about.
That job had been Jordan’s, and so far I have not seen any TYT journalists filling the void.
Konst et all are good journalists AFAIK but it’s true that none of them seems to be fully committed to being the “TYT terrier”, as you suggest. Reasons for this may include that 1) TYT is just a side job for them, or 2) they don’t feel like getting into people’s faces the way Jordan did, or 3) they just don’t feel like committing to TYT to such an extent. In their shows, I too would be thinking the latter.
Also … even if there is no animosity between Jimmy & John, Ben & Michael Shure, etc.
The perception is there, when Jimmy is not allowed to give the Progressive side when those 3 are hosts are on.
When Cenk is the most progressive host, and he is RARELY on, is TYT still really Progressive?
