  1. I was hoping Tariq Ramadan’s Sexual Assault/Abuse scandal but this i guess is a story??(regarding Ana’s makeup)

  2. I’m going through the exact same thing now… It’s so hard having to work so closely with someone who is just so perverted. I try not to be alone them. I don’t wear make up to work anymore and I don’t wear anything that exposes my chest (turtlenecks and lots of scarves). It’s just not fair. Even with all this press coverage, they are still so brazen.. I really hope it stops because all of these stories have been so triggering. To all men: please, respect the women and girls around you. Treat us like more than means to get off. You have no right to touch someone, even if they work with you or for you. ?

  3. Ana’s intro to Lauren Sivan really rubbed me the wrong way,

“She is an incredible reporter, but more importantly, she is one of the courageous women who came forward … ”

Is the fact that she was victimized by Harvey Weinstein and spoke out really more important that her entire career in journalism? I would think Ana of all people would make an extra effort to set up Lauren in the interview as a serious reporter who is not, and will not be defined by having been a victim.

    1. I got the impression that it was a “more importantly, as in why she is here, and in the context of this interveiw.”

  4. Ana you said your story on makeup is an Old School type story. Then do it on old school, no one cares about your stupid makeup, this isn’t news. You bring less and less real issues to this show everyday. Can we hear some real and important issues, please.

    1. Seriously?!? Did you ever watch/listen to hour 2 before Ana fought to change it to what it is today? Any intelligent discussions during hour 2 are because of Ana – not saying she is the only one that says anything intelligent, but that she changed the types of topics discussed. As Ben says, the original intention of the show was to talk about news for an hour, followed by an hour on JLo’s ass. If you are looking for “real and important issues” only, stick to hour 1 and TYT Politics. Skip Hour 2, Old School, Post Games, etc.

      1. Couldn’t have been said better. ^

During the 2016 election and the resulting aftermath, Ana pointed out time and again that Hour 1-like stories were bleeding into Hour 2 because of sheer volume, so all viewers would get is a bunch of devastating news stories, and then the post game might lighten things up, but that’s members-only.

They can’t go in day after day with beginning-to-end often horrible and/or serious/heavy news stories, they’re still human.

  5. On Makeup: Please, PLEASE, for the love of God, please don’t use the app on Steve Bannon *shiver*!!! In full HD? With no makeup? No no nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  6. Could we get a little more news, such as what is going on in Zimbabwe. I really don’t care about Ana’s makeup issues.

  7. Lauren Your words soothed My Ears in the interview.

Ana You are a Trooper for powering on with Voice probs.

Mark , um… Howdy! Right on!

  8. The FCC rulings concerning media ownership will surely result in lost jobs. Mergers always result in lost jobs. Media companies buying media stations will result in lost jobs. The-Nottingham-Republicans tout a corporate-handout tax giveaway as a middle-class tax reform. They also tout capitalism as bestowing benefits on the middle-class while only enriching their corporate donors and their ilk. Capitalism evolved in this country to become beneficial to the working-class, but only through socialist controls. These have been shed gradually, since Reagan’s administration, and the last remnants are being, not shed, but stripped away as fast as possible. The problem with the Nottingham allusion is the oppressed did not remain passive and subservient. At what point does something intended to be descriptive become predictive?

  9. I want my member hat TYT is out of stock i will pay.
I went on Net Nutrality sign the petition so all TYT members go and sign defend it from trump fcc.

  10. Either Truth matters, or it doesn’t, with all that entails.

Hey, good “byebye”. I used to watch The McLaughlin Group”, too. I like the homage.

  11. No, Ana, you can win and you do win. With and without makeup, you are a winner. The big loser here is the guy who did the worst Photoshop job ever.

  12. I have a coworker who is sure that net neutrality will not be able to be killed due to one thing: porn. Can you imagine the impact if they get rid of the free and open internet and people lose their porn? There would literally be riots in the streets…

    1. Please, correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe anyone has ever rioted for porn. People never have, never will. So, if Net Neutrality is important to your coworker, your coworker had better sign petitions and call congresspersons. Depending on mob action in this case, would be a … dream!

      1. Historically, TWO industries have been at the forefront of Internet evolution and tech advances. The military and the porn industry. I ‘m old enough to remember a time before the internet, and I’d hate to go back to the crappy dial-up speeds that we had in the late 90’s. There’s a reason why there is a song in the musical Avenue Q titled “The Internet is for Porn.” It’s a very cute song. Here’s a link to the original cast singing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTJvdGcb7Fs

    2. If the pornography provider can pay the speeds for the faster delivery of information, you will not notice. Since the porn industry has a firehose of cash flowing through it I can’t imagine this will be any problem for them. The military likewise can always secure more of our tax dollars for full speed access.

It’s extremely important to understand this has nothing to do with your home internet speed, for which we already pay for different levels of service. This is about how fast the host site can deliver content in the first place. You could have the fastest speed available for your area and your local business’ website could be throttled into dialup speeds while Amazon works great. That’s the issue.
