  1. I would have personally followed up on the following comments:

“I’m not comfortable paying for the college of wealthy families who can afford to send their children to school”

    &

    “China is an enemy.”

We actually can afford tuition-free public higher education if we raise corporate taxes and the top 5 – 10% of wage earners pay a fair share to restore the United States to a semblance of a Social Democratic society. In such an economy it doesn’t matter that a family has wealth, they pay their taxes and should be awarded the same benefits as every other taxpayer. The goal should be to provide equity so those who are disadvantaged can have an equal opportunity. Medicare-for-all is a healthcare system that would benefit everyone, why should higher learning be different?

Stating China as being a direct enemy is a curious notion. I would have loved to hear his response as to why he feels they are an enemy of the United States. The two nations have a mutually beneficial co-existence – with several major disagreements; however, the label of ‘enemy’ seems to be a major step in the wrong direction.

    1. We need Democratic represenatives in Congress. Lance has enjoyed serving the public for 10 years, it is time for someone else to come it. Public office is not a job that should be held by anyone for a lifetime.
