Cenk tells some schmopey Dad stories. The conversation shifts to the conferences they took part in in Lisbon, Portugal and their evening booze-filled adventures.

  1. I just watched the panel that Cenk was talking about with the muslim reformer.
So uncomfortable to watch in every way.

  2. I was born in Sao Miguel Azores, Portugal which is one of the island off the mainland and it’s beautiful there if you ever go back you should consider going there you would love it. I live in America now but I miss how life was way much simpler there. By the way my dad used to sing Fado and I liked it but it was a bit depressing lol. I’m glad you enjoyed your time there.

  3. brother… i love ya but ya need to cook! its good for every part of your mind and spirit, and its the first meaningful step to being fit and healthy… make it happen brother. the first thing you will realize is how easy it is… and the second will be how much you enjoy it. :)
    go with God my friend….

  4. Are the fardo singers not sad because their husbonds died at sea and singing is how they have to make a living now?

  5. Plenty of dads cook thank goodness.

That’s just a sandwich without the bread.

I’d at least need salt and pepper with that spaghetti.

It should be a rule that if you can’t stop yourself from coughing on the mic, you shouldn’t go on air.

Sounds like Cenk is going to move Portuguese food into his top 5.

  6. “Not sober” cooking is all relative in its success level.

If I cook high (by myself), I continually get side tracked and add dishes or ingredients, and something WILL burn.
    Supervision is essential.
If my husband is drinking while cooking, everything tastes like red wine & is purple.
Or he adds so mush cream, the sauces are like melted ice cream.

Takeaway is both chefs can be “enhanced,” but they MUST cook together!

  7. You mean a carafe?
And I can’t believe how much you Americans expect to pay for food. It’s a cafĂ©, of course you’re not going to pay much! Plus, if it was local wine then they haven’t had to ship it from anywhere.
Lastly, in the south, ain’t nobody got time for rushing. Everything is done relaxed down there. South of the Alps, they do not know the meaning of haste.
