The three amigos are joined by Commander of the Armies of the East, Aaron Wysocki. It’s the usual FPG with Annoying Feedback and TTOTB–minus Weekly Whirled News a.k.a the real reason why members (& TYT control room) tune in for the Friday Post Game.

  1. There’s a dozens of us, dozens!

Now that we are past the Arrested Devlopment reference, I want to thank Malcom for whatever he said to Hassan the last time he was on Post Game.
The next time I saw him on hour two, with Grace, he had productive input and was a pretty great participant in the converstaion! So, THANK YOU! I think he has the ability to bring awesome insight to the convo if he didn’t talk like such a douche knocker.

You guys rock, show was awesome.

  2. Love the Friday Post Game – it’s like a box of chocolates – anyway, Malcolm, your “Weekly Whirled News” has inspired me to check out international news more often. Hope the same for more than 19 – surely

  3. It would be lit if we got a proud 19 shirt. Sad we didn’t get a weekly world news so I could laugh at choice D. Think maybe it should shuffle every time so they have to be on their toes when listening though.

  4. Pretty sure you can only send that per page. So once you set it on your first reply it applies to the rest. And you can manage subscriptions to change if you want.

  5. There’s always talk about “down ticket” candidates but what happened in Virginia this week was that wet-noodle Northram benefitted up-ticket.

On Monday, all the pundits agreed that Northram was likely to lose, based on polling. Who gets polled? “Likely voters.”

Then on Tuesday he wins by a huge margin. Why? Unlikely voters.

Who turns out unlikely voters? Radical progressive candidates from the DSA and Our Revolution, going door to door and successfully politicking the old-fashioned way.

Once those Unlikely Voters were in the voting booth anyway, whose name did they check for Governor? Not the Republican, for obvious reasons. That left Northram.

Ralph Northram owes his new job to Our Revolution and DSA. Just saying.

    1. I believe there is a lot of truth in that. But there are exceptions to every kind of wisdom. As much as I believe truly progressive candidates are more likely to attract support than centrist democrats, it has never been fully explained why Russ Feingold did worse than Hillary in Wisconsin in 2016.

      1. I live in Wisconsin and instead of touting things fighting corruption with things like Mccain-Fiengold legislation, Feingold’s campaign was mostly:
        1) Tying himself to Hillary Clinton (including on all yard signs and campaign literature)
        2) Responding to a negative Johnson ad with an ad accusing Johnson of the exact same thing (ignoring memos about VA problems)
        3) This TV ad of Russ walking on a soccer field spouting off useless platitudes.

  6. You guys should make a TTOTB graphic with Dave’s name in it. Don’t even say anything. Just wait for him to notice & make a comment. Even if it takes weeks.

When he does notice, make nothing of it. Say “Yeah man, just thought it’d be nice to include you.”

Then, immediately return to the old graphic next time. If he says anything, gaslight him, pretending there has only ever been the original graphic.

    That’ll learn him.

  7. I think that the most likely way to send comments to an individual panelist would be to find them on Twitter and Tweet them. No guarantee of a reply, though. If you bought something from their store they seem pretty good at responding, but that’s not a “comments” line.

I think that if you make a comment and someone replies to you, you’ll get notified by defalt. But whenever you make a comment, there’s a drop-down box underneath your comment where you can select a preference about notifications.

  8. #AnnoyingFeedbackBySteve&Friends

Soooo, i been watching the post games since Free Month trial. I just became ২৪ on হেমন্ত of বুধবার, ২৬ কার্তিক ১৪০০ বঙ্গাব্দ (all of that is in Bengali so u need time to solute that but don’t say the English meaning; keep it a secret)

So, i been emailing your customer service email about advice but i get an email to tweet it to TYT because your Contact email is overfilled that i wouldn’t get a response. So can i post my questions to you for guidance?

    My questions are:
    1) What is comment sections syntax to communicate with others like Twitter has #, @ and youtube has #, + so what does TYT have so my comments can be directed to certain commenters also How do i setup my comments to email me when someone comments my posts?
    2) do i count as one of the 19?! i dont know…..

    1. This is a pretty weaksauce message forum. Pretty sure it has no bells and whistles that you’re asking for.

When making a comment, however, you can actually set the subscription before you hit submit. You can set it to reply for any comments or just replies to your own.

Pretty sure that’s the extent of the features available.

They ought to just bring Twitter/FB integration in, or elect to use a service like Disqus or any of the billion others.

Frankly they should have a Twitter feed here that posts to #TYTLive since they read those on the air anyway. No real point in having numerous locations for feedback or having open discussions. It would get more engagement IMO.

(feel free to reach out to me for more advice I can provide. save me from multinational corporate hell lol)

      1. This comment section is members only. Incorporating another platform opens it up to the general public. I like this section because we can see the true believers, although there are a couple trolls.

        1. @CJ
Whenever i post the comment section has a bar that defaults to no replies, Replies to my comment or something else. I want to have a default for all my post to notify my email when someone comments me without me constantly manually setting it to my needs.

          @squaneenge
ok?! so if its better to keep public out and members-in. What can we improve to have better communication with this private comment section system?

  9. A Proud Nineteen t-shirt is a great idea!

I love the random throwing of Ben under the bus. I like Ben for the record.

Next time you see Harvey Weinstein, go up to him and calmly tell him that he is a despicable human being. He should be ashamed to show his face any where.

I didn’t know that factoid about Catch-22 so I looked it up and Malcolm was off by 1. It was originally Catch-18 but changed because it was too close to another recently published novel with 18 in the title.

    1. I like Ben, too, and for the record, I miss Ben. I liked Cenk/Ben shows several times a month. And I miss the Benana hours. :<

    2. So close. But it’s a good thing the novel WASN’T titled “Catch-19” or there might have been a lot of confusion between the novel and the viewers of the Friday postgame.

    1. I am part of the proud 19 – Malcolm made that comment in the beginning as a tongue and cheek comment about the few people who were watching (I believe there were more than 19 though). The number of viewers has grown a lot since then, and you can tell by the number of comments.

    2. Sadly, the vast majority of our views and comments come from bots and sockpuppets Steve, Dave and I created, with the help of Vladimir Putin, of course. And for all the people who think they’re the Proud 20th, what makes you think no one else has dropped off? We have a lot of overlap viewers with Fox News, and the average age of a Fox viewer is “in hospice care,” so you also have to factor in viewers we’ve lost to death. So if anything #Proud19 may be an OVERestimate.

  10. It’s funny hearing these guys predict that Gillespie would win the VA race. I thought he would too, which made him losing feel even better =).

    1. Hey, not everyone predicted a Gillespie win! (Although I said Northam would win in a squeaker, which was almost as wrong).

  11. Perhaps in today’s technology rich culture, the RNC and DNC are no longer needed. If individuals can determine via various online channels where to invest their funds, why use a centralized “strategic” national committee organization?

      1. I think that we might be in the middle of this change; I’ve donated to Justice Democrats without even considering the DNC. So I suppose that the use of sites, such as ActBlue, is enabling more direct funding to my desired candidates. The only downside about this new “wild-west” investement strategy is the fake funding channels and crowd-sourcing sites.

  12. Nothing secret about what happened in Virginia at this point. BUT. People out there getting celebratory talking about ‘bellweathers’ are playing RIGHT into the hands of the Republicans in Democrats’ clothing. Any Democrat not platforming on and committed to a) NOT taking money from big corporations slash pacs b) a $15 minimum wage nationwide c) a single payer health care system and d) free college education at the state and city levels has to have a fire lit under their asses from now through 2018. Either they finish with the Clinton/Pelosi/Perez/Schumer/Wasserman-Schultz Tammany trap mixtape or we PRIMARY them Oh (as in Steve) Doubleyew (as in Wysocki) Tee (as in that cool Halloween one Malcolm had last month) PERIOD (as in Dave shutting down that goofy BGM last solo PG).

    OWT.

    Dat’s usin’ da poifect tense.

    1. I agree with all of your points but I just want to also point out that Northam actually did run his campaign on a $15 minimum wage and free college in VA. Obviously he hasn’t committed to not taking corporate money but this is a good start in my opinion.

    1. Oh wow, thank you! Although I would probably not do well, the only thing I know anything about is distributing video online.

    2. I’d love to do Old School with Cenk, Jayar and Jesus. That would be a fun panel. Me, Jayar and Jesus are all around the same age and all have young kids. I think we’d have a fun discussion with Cenk driving it.

      1. How about sticking around for the occasional Friday Power Panel, Aaron? 1st hour, 2nd hour… You could head home after happy hour. Which, btw, would be awesome for each or any of the other 3 Amigos too.

      1. Cenk “coined” that term for me when I was doing commentaries on the main show. I never signed off, but I was young and needed the money.
