  1. Tim Allen, RDJ, Martha Stewart, Jamie Waylett, Sean Penn, Mark Walberg, Christian Slater, Kiefer Sutherland, Tom Sizemore, Lillo Brancato, Jr., Phil Spector, the list goes on. Meek Mill broke the law and then basically repeatedly spit in the face of the court. He deserves to be put in jail. I shed no tears for his dumbass. There is a 2 tier justice system but its between the rich and poor. So it is refreshing to see someone who believes they are above the law to get the book thrown at them.

    1. Well said, and thanks for recalling all the names, Meek Mill thinks he is above the law and the courts don’t apply to him. He was charged with assault and DUI while on probation and this panel thinks the judge was harsh, give me a fucking break! Nando, get a clue about other justice systems around the world before you state something as foolish as ours is the harshest. Do we sever a hand for theft, stone anyone for adultery and when was our last beheading?
This hour was like watching The View, gossip hour. I can’t remember the exact statement by Nando but he said “it’s a fact” when it was only his opinion, NOT a fact. I expect much better from “hard hitting” TYT, start an hour three for the gossip BS.

  2. Something I love most about TYT is the panelists call each other out when they misstep or make questionable statements. It is so bloody refreshing compared to cable news, who just regurgitate what’s on the TelePrompTer.

  3. Have y’all never heard of Robert Downey Jr? These rich snobs get every chance in the world with top-class legal teams, and god forbid they come across a judge that actually gives a fuck about society.

  4. Social Security and Medicare are NOT welfare or part of the “welfare state.” Look at your pay stubs – WE pay INTO that from our income. Two of the most popular government programs should not be “cut” (stolen from)…. do you see your contributions reduce? (no) Don’t let people tell you this is welfare or some kind of government handout – WE PAY FOR IT. (And the government steals from it.)

    1. It’s still part of the welfare state regardless of if we pay into it or not. Welfare state is a lot more complicated of a phrase than we all realize because we are used to it being used as something bad (Fox news). It’s not the “bad word” we’ve all been taught it is.

  5. Pizza rankings go:

    1. Local pizza shop that uses fresh ingredients and knows what they’re doing
    2. Pizza that you make yourself
    3. Refrigerated pizza from the supermarket
    4. Papa John’s
    5. Pizza Hut
    6. Little Caeser’s
    7. Some cardboard you found in your garage with tomato sauce and mozzerella on it
    8. Dominoes

  6. This guy on the left in the second hour gets it. It doesn’t matter if the judge was Black, it’s systemic. This should come as no surprise but it’s usually the black officers, judges etc that are the harshest towards other blacks. I speak as black man. The one on the right didn’t and doesn’t understand that, which isn’t that surprising. Just because she’s black doesn’t mean she understands every racial component of every issue, maybe this was outside her scope.

    1. I Agree:
Disney, some musician, Sia’s ass, Papa Johns, Taylor Swift… I can deal with 1 in the show but I’d really prefer if TYT left these types of stories to a rapid fire kind of presentation like Vice News does in their first 5 minutes.

  7. Wait did Simone Boyce say it’s not fair to say that Republicans have stroked the egos of Neo-Nazis and white nationalist?? What about the Southern Strategy??

    1. Because it’s an important story. Sorry you can’t go to the movies anymore it does suck for all of us, however, Disney attempting to control the press is important.

    2. It’s also important to know that there’s been talk of Disney doing a corporate takeover of much of Fox’s businesses. Some of the business oriented shows have commented on such in the past few days.

  8. Simone and Nando CRUSHED it!! Grace was awesome too, as always, but I am so in love with these new faces! Smart and hot x2

  9. Who is Simone and why is she running the 2nd hour??!!! And Simone I wear glasses but why are you wearing a cars’ front windshield??!! And with everything going on in the news right now we’re really leading the 2nd hour with Disney and a Parking Garage thing? Seriously???!! Ok….

Oh sexy Nando though…. that makes me happy. Was I mad about something? Nando *heart heart heart*!

And wait is TYT honestly telling us they want a multiple-felon who rightfully had his probation revoked out on the street? The guy is high on smack, violent, not obeying court orders but who is rich from hip-hop music stuff and TYT wants him out on the streets? I’m in Texas and here we all know if you violate your probation for anything other than a United Airlines flight crashing into your head you WILL go the slammer for the maximum possible sentence. The guy violated his probation with multiple offenses and addicted to Percocet or not he did do the crime so he does need to do the time. I don’t care if he’s rich and TYT presented us zero actual evidence that the Judge was a racist or bad person or bad judge in any way. Have some facts to back that up gang or shut up your over-liberal mouths!

And Nando you aren’t sexy anymore! You really think because Bush isn’t in jail a drug-abusing, violent, lying rapper who violated the courts orders on multiple occasions shouldn’t be in jail either? How is that anything but a fallacy?! He basically said well it’s 50-50 on whether the Judge is racist or not when, again, TYT presented absolutely NO evidence that this Judge (who was elected by the people mind you) is racist or prejudiced etc?! SHAME on you Nando and SHAME on TYT!

Who is “Sia” and why is she in the news? At 38 years old and I’m seriously totally out of touch? Gawd I’m old.

And wait, TYT is seriously now telling me that it’s a huge violation that some “celebrity” has had their privacy broken and this is an outrage etc etc when they cheered on every bit of leaked WikiLeaks documents, Hillary’s hacked emails, classified documents released by the transgender woman in the military jail whose name escapes at the moment?! I’m really really trying to figure out what TYT’s position is. Either private things are private (including Hillary’s emails, etc) or they aren’t, right?! The standard is seeming to change based on the race/sex/economic class of the person involved. I’d really appreciate one, mostly unchanging standard. This is the kind of thing we NEED Dave Rubin on TYT for to point out. But he spoke truth to power (Cenk basically) and was fired for it because he was trying to be fair and equal to everyone which is what I thought progressives support. That, or have Cenk himself come on camera and tell us why the standard is going to change and why and based on what factors. TYT members have a right to understand what the overall editorial position of the show is because it is that unclear at this point, at least to me. I’m really not enjoying having to complain and cough cough at things as much as I have to today but, like Cenk tells us to do, I am speaking my truth to power (the thousands of members I’m sure will attack me over these comments). Is that good or bad also please?

    1. opinion invalidated by saying anyone NEEDS professional moron, Dave Rubin. You seriously don’t know the difference between someone’s private photos and a politicians professional documents that affect public policy? Is it possible you’re even dumber than Dave Rubin? I didn’t think that was possible.

    2. I agree Nando is hot. But that’s about it.
I don’t think TYT has or ever has had “an editorial position” on anything. Obviously, it has a left-wing bias with respect to U.S. politics, but I don’t think anybody is told to follow a particular narrative. For example: Dave Rubin really really didn’t like what people were saying at TYT, so he left. He wasn’t forced to say something he didn’t believe, and he wasn’t fired as you suggest. I disagree with Dave Rubin, and I think he becomes more and more right wing, petty, and pseudo-intellectual with every passing year.

Further, I don’t think it’s contradictory to say that we should know more about what our government is doing with our money and in our name AND also say that you shouldn’t invade the privacy of random celebrities.

Personally, I don’t think “drug use” should be a crime. Misdemeanor assault should be, but it shouldn’t carry 4 years. Nando’s point that it wouldn’t happen to a white celebrity is valid, but it ignores that many poor people get even worse treatment.

  10. Really liked hour 2 super great team… would have liked some more info on who the new faces are though perhaps?

Also kind of curious there have been a lot of new people lately (not complaining let me just say) are we adding more people to the hosting line up or just giving current hosts a break? I would appreciate knowing that because… well I am a member and nosey so you know…

    1. On a different note-

Taylor Swift has no idea how to manage her image which is just bonkers to me. She has been in this industry for so long and been dragged for making stupid choices so many times and yet here we are again. Grace is 100% right, when a white nationalist retweets your lyrics quote tweet them and say “fork you I don’t support you or what you believe in” case close things are done. Instead, she goes way over the top and bam now suddenly everyone is going to know “oh hey white nationalists like her music I don’t know about that”. She just… she’s been around too long to keep making these dumbass mistakes. Stop suing people over small things, stop picking fights with people you have no business fighting with, stop sending your lawyers to handle things a 140 character tweet could handle… or at the very least hire new managers

  11. what was her point of view- a commentary on how we fall for systemic racism, etc. or praising it as a ‘reawakening?”. I don’t know. I think we need to stop talking about things like this and focus on the stuff NOT talked about. I don’t know. We can do better than T.Swift.

  12. I think we still want government transparency and individual privacy. I mean ANY public servant-and nudity should not be the decider of ANYTHINg, unless in relation to a crime (other than some public nudity fine). But, celebrities, we forget, are not public servants, politicians, (in most cases), police officers, judges, public school official, etc. and that’s why Wikileaks is still a leak, not a hack, in my book, and seeing a celebrities bottom who later decides to run for office should be no bigger an issue than the current 1st lady’s former nude shots, in my opinion. OBviously, they were not a deterrent in Trump’s election. We have this issue reversed right now- privatized and private government and removal of individual privacy laws in wake of 9/11…

  13. DOUBLED the enrollment- way to bury the lead! It would be interesting to see how many of them are enrolling in Medicaid expansion?

    1. When someone makes a statement asking to stop showing something, people want to see it more. When Barbara Streisand had something like this happen to her. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect “It is named after American entertainer Barbra Streisand, whose 2003 attempt to suppress photographs of her residence in Malibu, California inadvertently drew further public attention to it.”

    2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect

Basically: person A gets angry about something person B has or did and person A then gets angry about it publicly shining light on the issue or goes to court and making documents that brings light to the situation.
Then everyone now knows or see whatever person A didn’t want to be public all because they did things that then made it more obvious/public. [This is harder to sum up in type than I thought. I’m better at explaining this in person.]

  14. Didn’t TYT already cover that pizza story?
Maybe todays story was meant to cover the twitter sass PJs has been getting from the other pizza chains but they got sidetracked and forgot?

Seems like a lot of the story details were being glossed over and opinion commentary given instead

That being said I still liked everyone on the panel, Simone is well spoken and I always love grace

  15. Just as likely is that in 20 years the only people presented as candidates by our corporate overlords are those who’ve never done anything questionable online so we’re left with only the squarest of bears who’ve been trained to be fake since adolescence

  16. Love all the hosts in this 2nd hour today! Simone Boyce and Nando Vila worked great with Grace. I already love having Grace on the show, this was a great addition!!
