Ana elaborates on her Halloween comments from yesterday’s post game. The conversation shifts to seeking fulfillment in their jobs and changing lives because of it.
Ana, I totally feel you on the writing skills of students, or even those who have already graduated from college – on a whole it is atrocious. My dream is to eventually teach English lit and linguistics at a local college, but it is just not economically viable. I do love what I do, but that is my dream!
I know what you mean about the fulfillment drug. I spent fifteen years where I spent about 12-15 hours a week of volunteer work, setting up soup kitchens, winter housing for the homeless, setting up food pantries and for a bit working fro Habitat for Humanity. This was on top of running two jobs, my optical lab and my handy man side business; but without a doubt I don not regret a moment of it. And yes, there is a certain selfishness to that, but that’s a selfishness I’m okay with.
Cenk, is there anything a now disabled guy living in Austria can do more than just contribute?
I feel with you Ana seeing my dogs wagging there tails like crazy and jumping and playing I get overjoyed because like you they are my kids until I get kids.
Oh sure, any opposition to fifty years of being continually shat on is extremism. Anything that smacks of equality is extremism, anything that provides those with the least any particle of what we give away to the rich to the poor people who could actually use it is extremism. Another great post game. I love it when Cenk and Ana talk about the important things that really motivate them in life. I always love them on post game even when they have a disagreement. Great team.
Also, as someone else said in the post game comments; I have much respect for Ana for helping those students and getting such wonderful feedback from her student. Very touching and one of the reasons I admire her so much.
By the way, I’ve also been impressed with how handsome and professional Cenk looks in the shirts he’s been wearing the last few weeks.

Justice Democrats and Wolf PAC are the reasons that I know Cenk is legit. He could just sit and complain, and pretend to have the answers but never really share them, and he’d still do really well with his business (like right wing talking heads do all the time, a la Alex Jones). Instead, not only does Cenk say what the solutions are to the problems we’re in, he takes the goddamn lead on it! This is a leader, this is a man who puts his money where his mouth is, and he is a man who is worth supporting and listening to. Thank you, Cenk.

agreed. Kyle said on twitter that it’s not her. So, I’d assume the candidate must be a progressive guest that Kyle has to OK. I think the person must have been on the panel sometime last month, particularly close to the date of that CNN article describing Ana as the candidate by giving the source as someone close to Ana or herself i dont remember. It is clear to me that they did that about 2 weeks ago to deflect from the real candidate they just had as guest, to get some more time for some reason. I’m just glad it’s not one of SJW types like Hannah or they’d actually lose it. I assume that it must be someone slightly older than 30 year old and already has some politics/public office experience. John has polisci experience but I dont think it’s him.
One final point I think Ana and Jimmy have massive drug and life problems and perhaps would be better off if they take some time off the show(s) and figure out their health issues. It’s clear to me from PGs that Ana equates taking drug to ultimate stress relief now and she has been very stressful for some time. I mean you can tell from her reactions to her breathing or general elevated level of reflexes. Jimmy is older and he may have a history with drugs. I also get the feeling that he smokes weed before his meet ups, some of his shows, or comedy nights. Look guys no offense I’m all good for these things recreationally but when you get addicted this will be another epidemic. You have to teach people especially young ones that you don’t need such things to be happy on a regular basis.
