  3. Things mostly said/intimated – that I like/makes me laugh/makes me mad:

    1) (Judah) American Exceptionalism, this ARROGANCE by both major parties, is a BIG problem. Both Party Elites can use the other as the scapegoat, while getting richer and keeping us poor/down.
    2) (Jimmy) Our Gov’t is working against you.
    3) (Malcolm) We do believe in American Exceptionalism, it means everyone else can have free Healthcare, EXCEPT U.S.
    4) (Maddow segment) The Intel Comm is angry and wants to put Trump on notice, in order to make it difficult for the WH to govern – (Jimmy) That’s a really big story!!!!
    5) (Maddow) It doesn’t have to be true to Blackmail someone – (Jimmy responds) Yes it Does! You Propagandist!
    6) (Judah) It’s a comedy special about Mass Incarceration, Fascism, Racism, Sexist, all the hilarious topics – (Jimmy) You’re stealing all the good joke topics.
    7) (Jimmy) When you’re on to something, they shut you down; but if your wrong about it, then they let you spew it.
    8) (Jimmy) Here’s Dylan Ratigan at a park waiting for a bus – (Judah) The lighting is really good, that’s a really good location for him.
    9) (Judah) Regarding the terrible problems in Puerto Rico (PR), I think you have to consider INTENTIONAL GENOCIDE attempts by the gov’t. Nature did the devastating and so now the elites in gov’t can make a lot of money and remake PR in their own vision.
    10) (Judah) One of my theories regarding the major parties, it’s really bad guys vs bad guys fighting for control of the country.
    11) (Jimmy) On the Corporate Dems praising McCain, Flake & Corker – these guys still vote on legislation to screw over people, they are working against their own constituents, they have no integrity, they are treasonists, they only tell the truth when it suits them, those guys are cretans!

  5. It’s strange to me that people think Jimmy should leave TYT. His platform is greatly amplified, reaching many people that it would not have otherwise. Yes, the main show has different points of view, but that’s a good thing. If you only listen to one point of view because you agree with it you are falling victim to your own confirmation bias. You don’t have to agree with other viewpoints, but if you refuse to even listen maybe you’re not being reasonable.

    1. “Differing viewpoints”, is it? Let me ask you this: how many conservative viewpoints does the Main Show bring out? You already know the answer: none.

      And I’m fine with that because this is a “progressive” network, at least in theory. But then, at the same time, don’t bother trotting out this liberal fantasy that the active values in play here are supposedly “tolerance” and “diversity” and “differing viewpoints” and all that. That’s a complete fantasy, TYT never was such a thing and it isn’t nnow.

      Here is the truth: the Main Show brings out a very narrow spectrum of centrist viewpoints. They mostly copy the viewpoints of MSNBC and the MSM. The exception is when Jimmy comes on but how often does that happen? Once a week if we’re very lucky. In all other cases, the Main Show is just establishment nonsense.

      I don’t know how working class Friedlander is (inside the economic reality of his private life) but he has certainly always appeared in public dressed as boldly and unabashedly working class. So I can relate to your confusion because it is indeed rare for a TYT show to invite someone who doesn’t mind displaying that visual appearance.

  7. It seems that the production of word salad, being trapped in the head, and watching shadows on the cave wall prevented people from listening to Jim Keady. To paraphrase, get asses out of the house, find people who need help, and help them.

Freudian approach, Marxist hegelist approach, Plato approach and Poppers scientific approach . All but scientific has been proven a solution to problems. All the rest are bs and wrong. So when you say Sam Seder shits on JD because of his view count or for his personal gain you are having a Freudian approach making it about what Sam feels or want’ and not about actual things he wants to debate and frankly raped JD on. That’s how ignorant you are. Dumb ppl like u have solution to everything because you can say it’s personal and this is why you argue what you argue. This solution is wrong old skunk. Truth is only dumb retards like u can give Jimmy Dore more credibility than tyt considering amount of time scrutiny and care two show. Addressing other people as “animals” and “retards” and the like immediately disqualifies you from participating in any debate, regardless of what the topic might be (and if this board had a moderator, as nearly every civilized board on the web does, then you would already have been banned from it). Nobody needs a higher education in order to know that this is a precondition for continued debate.

    Corporate investments aside, before long Cenk and/or Ana may well be running for political office in California on a Democratic ticket. This will further compromise TYT’s independence as a media entity, because I don’t see Cenk simply cutting his ties (least of all his financial ties) with TYT. Can you imagine the president of MSNBC running for political office…while not cutting any of his ties with MSNBC. That’s corruption, pure and simple, and makes a mockery out of the Fourth Estate as a free and independent press (to the extent that a “free press” still exists in America).

    Cenk always plays to win, which is good in a certain sense, but I don’t think you can trust him to win fair, ethically, and on the strength of grassroots, people-powered, Bernie-style momentum. I can only imagine how many bad deals Cenk will make with powerful and/or wealthy people in order to secure his election victory.

        If Ana runs, as is all over “the Internets,” how will TYT respond?

        Jimmy is no Math Scientist, as he often professes, but his bullshit meter is pretty sharp. Aside from detouring down the “Hillary has a brain tumor/disease” trail, he has a pretty good eye on what is going on in US politics right now. Jordan Chariton & TYT Politics is also WAAAAAY more progressive & hungry than any of the old-school TYT hosts.

        I find myself drifting when TYT Main is on. If a large chunk of the show is about rehashing Trussia, it’s just background noise while I do paperwork. Been a Patreon member for Jimmy for a while. I watch Rational National rather than TYT Hour 2!

  12. Just curious. I watch the shows on my iPad. I did update to the new operating system this week. Is anyone else experiencing skipping? The videos play but consistently skip, repeating things that have been said. I was just curious if anyone else using an iPad who updated this week is experiencing the same problems when streaming. I’m just trying to figure out what my issue is. It seems to happen only with TYT.

    2. This kind of thing is common. Because it doesn’t take much to throw TYT’s streaming software out of wack. Even just installing a different adblocker in your browser can do it.

  20. Errr. Didn’t Cenk already claim the Dossier, as it was sourced from a former British spy was in no way as illegal as reaching out directly to the Russian govt. Opposition research is not illegal even if it leads to Russian sources as it would inevitably have to.

    Also, I’m pretty sure I heard that the Uranium deal that Hillary okayed did not actually transfer the uranium to a Russian company but was only an investment of some kind.

    I’m starting to have my doubts about this AP story just from watching the main show.

    1. Jimmy has his heart in the right place, but he flies off the handle with vitriol against the democrats without doing proper research or preparation.
      Don’t get me wrong, the DNC deserves criticism, but I’d rather here how they are working to screw progressives, and what can be done to stop that, than the silly stuff he normally talks about.

      1. People don’t know the difference of being a nice guy and having good intentions vs studying a subject or a story for days. This gives us ppl ignoring stupid stories JD did at times bout Seth Rich or HC mental health or debate he lost against Sam Seder bc he didn’t know bout supreme Court system. Mostly old skunk like robert Jordan here but also young ppl who didnt go to college yet can’t decipher being nice or avg from being intellectual and fucking putting hours to study smth.

    2. Actually, I think Cenk, on the main show, may not have realized that the spy DID reach out to the Russian Foreign ministry, if the reported sources are correct. It seems to me that Cenk is of the opionion that the spy did not reach out to the Russian government, but the foreign ministry is part of the government.

      As for the uranium deal, it would still have to be approved by our government (Clinton and Obama) which is where the possible corruption comes in. Even if not technically against the law, it still LOOKS like corruption or something nefarious, which explains why people who hear about it would be less likely to vote for Clinton.

      1. The whole Clinton/Russia uranium thing is garbage. There’s a great article by David Corn at Mother Jones that breaks the whole thing down. Not surprisingly, the accusation started from a book called Clinton Cash which was produced at a non-profit started by Robert Mercer and Steve Bannon.

        Really sad to see this right-wing shit on Aggressive Progressives. The DNC needs criticism for sure but taking stuff out of the right wing play book is just embarrassing. You guys are better than this.

      I agree, I am so sick of hearing about the Clintons and their corrupt ways, to me it is water under the bridge, albeit dirty, filthy, scummy water. It is the gift that keeps giving for the followers of Fox News, it is the Benghazi model for them and when Jimmy digs this stuff up it isn’t much different. If I want to hear this re-litigated I can turn on FOX, Breitbart, Info-Wars, etc.
      If I were Steve Bannon/Breitbart I would use these clips to stir shit up between the Dems and Progressives, which by the way that civil war is coming.
