On this week’s Aggressive Progressives, Jimmy Dore is joined by Stef Zamorano and Ron Placone to talk the opioid epidemic, HRC threatening the media, and why Chipotle’s wages are a problem for Wall Street.

ENOUGH ABOUT F-ING RUSSIA. I’M SO F-ING SICK OF IT. SERIOUSLY JIMMY I’VE BEEN STRUGGLING TO WATCH THE SHOW LATELY. THEY’VE BEEN BUILDING UP & IT’S A DRAIN GETTING THROUGH IT.
THIS SHOW SHOULD BE ABOUT NEOLIBERALISM AND NEOLIBERAL NEWS. COME ON GUYS, SERIOUSLY!
ALSO, STOP COVERING TOPICS YOU’VE ALREADY COVERED ON THE JIMMY DORE SHOW. INSTEAD, JUST INCLUDE THE RELEVANT JIMMY DORE SHOW CLIPS AT THE END OF THE AGGRESSIVE PROGRESSIVES SHOW!
Great show. The labor laws allow them to treat human beings as a utility bill. If a business cannot function without other humans then they are a necessary component and deserve to see the books and take fare share of the resources. We need to address human dignity in labor now!
Great job on the Hillary segment, very funny :)
According to this idiotic logic of “A third party cant get more than 20%!” Then we will never get change.
It is also outright wrong. You dont seem to know your history very well. Third parties did eventually win. That is how the current parties came into existence…
As Jimmy always points out, this idea that you should vote for the lesser of two evils and stick with the broken DNC is short sighted.
We will have more than one election in our lifetime. Just like how we have had more elections in our history where small parties took over and became the big parties.
Comments here are disappointing and so SHORT SIGHTED and IRRATIONAL.
> We will have more than one election in our lifetime.
Also, more than one financial crash in every generation. And more than one war (to say the least!) which produces vast amounts of blowback. And more, much more, climate disaster is on its way.
Broken systems cannot last, every empire falls eventually, and change is always inevitable. Voting for the status quo of Obama and Hillary cannot postpone this, in some ways even precipitates this.
The Supreme Court Tho
A couple good examples of companies that increased wages and sales and profits grew are:
Gravity Payments, see the link below; and Ford Motor in the 20’s. Ford raised wages and gave benefits and as a result 47% of all cars on the road were Fords, and the company made a lot of money.
https://www.inc.com/magazine/201511/paul-keegan/does-more-pay-mean-more-growth.html
On the other side of that particular coin, Ford was rabidly anti-union, resorting to legal as well as thug tactics to prevent workers in Ford plants from unionizing.
In December 1937, the company was found in violation of the Wagner Act and was ordered to cease interfering with workers’ efforts to unionize. In 1941, when wages at Ford were in fact lower than the average wage for the industry, Henry Ford continued to insist that “we do not intend to submit to any union.”
Finally, in the spring of 1941 — after violent strikes, brutal assaults by hired-mercenary Ford agents and government pressure — Ford and his company capitulated and agreed to a union shop. Ford workers were finally able to negotiate a contract.
A vital, productive economy depends on strong unions as well as on enlightened employers.
I love AP, and by no means am I a HRC supporter (not sure you could support both). However, the way you present your argument that the Russian-Trump scandal is a ruse by the media makes you sound like you are defending Trump.
What you say isn’t news or surprising of either the Clintons or the MSM. We all know how disgusting Hillary and Bill are. For myself I wish they would go away and let us carry on, they are a drag on moving the country forward in a productive way.
I almost turned this off….except I new the subject was going to change and I wanted to hear what else Jimmy had to say.
OMFG the Hillz clip with Jimmy was absolutely fucking EPIC!!!!
Jimmy, great what you said about low paid workers, keep on speaking truth to power Jimmy, the workers need your voice.
god damn [this was a good episode.]
noob noob!
I heard that Rage Against The Machine wants to make a comeback and use Jimmy as the sound system. What a great show. I think that Wall Street is preparing their next Shock to put in place the biggest heist ever planned. Gas prices will not just rise, we will all be Puerto Rico if we don’t prepare now. You have been demonetized for a while, I was surprised to see my favorite electric vehicle channels that have all been demonetized by You Tube.
I don’t know where Maylee D lives, but the biggest problem is the lack of Paper Ballots hand counted in public. But we can’t wait for an election, we have to take action. With enough public push, things could happen.
Start the Green Revolution, already.
Way to go Jimmy Dore & the Aggressive Progressives. Your satire of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s suckup job to Hillary Clinton is the best segment of this show ever. 100% on point and hilarious. Thanks!
If Bernie bails, he’ll be cut off and while we might elect him president he will have an uncooperative state, etc. They have us by the crosshairs, we can’t afford to leave and lose our platform, inclusion in debates, and people willing to work with us in office without aligning with one of these yahoo parties. On the other hand, they can’t win without US either, which gives us some wiggle-room. If we leave these guys will go on unencumbered at all by us and our wishes and be even harder to challenge. They have control of the media, etc and the only thing keeping the wolves somewhat at bay is that so many Democrats support Bernie. So I still feel like we can’t just bail. We need to overtake this party, and that is going to take more than one year and so many people are getting involved and running for office themselves. We need to encourage that. and continue to work towards reform, and call for changes when they do shitty things like reinstating Donna Brazile. We need to be the thorn in their side AS LONG AS IT TAKES. Bernie candidates are winning much more often than establishment Dems. Let’s apply more pressure and call out the bullshit out.
Tishacp, you are a voice of reason here. I hope you don’t mind me adding another thought.
We should stay in the Democratic Party for the reasons you stated. Be the grain of sand in the oyster that makes the pearl. Going third party DOES NOT work in America even if you had as popular a candidate as our beloved Bernie. Look here, in all the history of third party candidates in the US, businessman Ross Perot got ONLY 20% of the vote in 1992…and that was record-breaking! 20% is the MOST a third party candidate has ever gotten…EVER.
And I just thought of another wrinkle: our federal and state election laws DO NOT support a third party candidate, purposefully so. The Republicans and Democrats wholeheartedly agree to rig it so that it is almost impossible. They deliberately DO NOT want third party competition.
Does one think that Bernie has not looked into going third party back in 2015 when he started his presidential run? Of course he did, and he saw that it would be a losing battle. It would have cost millions of dollars and an army of highly paid lawyers just to get on all the state ballots (and that’s not including all the shenanigans of the parties or media). AND he’s not going in that direction now (if one thinks he might run again in 2020). For context, the Green Party was able to run Jill Stein in 45 states in 2016.
So this is the hard facts in our political system in America. It’s a romantic notion that one could win as a third party candidate, but reality bites.
Precisely my thoughts. Every time I get discouraged with what’s happening at the national level, I take a look at the local and state level. Washington State took over leadership of the party, both Chair and Vice Chair, most committee seats, and 60% or more of PCO’s, who vote for local/state platform/party/candidate positions. Several city councils, mayoral, and LD seats have strong progressive/Bernie candidates running, Brand New Congress is backing several state congressional races, both in Washington and other states, Our Revolution has multiple wins and upcoming races for city council, mayor, and other local positions in states throughout the country, and a few key Senate races may have some progressive challenger’s that just might win ( i.e. Paul Ryan, Feinstein). If we stick with it, we will have progressives at every level of local and state government, something we have NOT had before, and then we can start to wrestle away control at the national level.
No doubt, the party leaders/backers pushing the DNC’s corporatist-agenda, will keep doing their best to remove progressives-Berner’s from key positions and change the rules and procedures to shut us out, and continue their assault in the media to skew public opinion in support of Bernie and progressives so they can squash progressive platforms (like Medicare-for-all), but one thing they can’t do is win enough elections. Eventually, we will simply outnumber them and then we can retake control and direction.
But, this is where the rubber hits the road- the way they have been successful in the past was outlasting us. They pushed people out of the party, and alienated voters, knowing (or believing) we’d have “no other option” but vote for Democrats with tea-party extremists controlling the Republicans. Well, THAT strategy just failed, in a big way, and their strategy to blame progressives and Bernie has only alienated even more of democratic and independent voters from THEM.
It seems to me, we have an excellent advantage, here, despite recent event. They’ve abandoned their 50-state strategy for a selective-win strategy, in key races and presidential elections, but only with corporate-backed candidates which is why they needed Clinton to win the primary. They’d rather lose with one of their own than risk a grassroots candidate not backed by corporate donors.
The problem with that (for them) is they have abandoned huge voting blocks and entire states in pursuit of establishment-only wins, opening the field for grassroots candidates to jump in. In the era of Trump and growing populism, that means seats in local, state, and even a few congressional races are open for progressive runs, without being primaried. They show no signs of running any more races than necessary to win control of the Senate and maintain seats in Congress and haven’t budged on the type of candidates or the way they run elections, so they’ll likely keep losing. While that may mean Republicans remain in control, it also means progressives could win enough seats to outnumber establishment Dems in Congress and state legislatures, if they continue to win more than party Dems lose.
It also means having enough progressives elected in 2020 to support a progressive presidential candidate, even with a superdelegate-stacked primary. Enough state wins, and superdelegates won’t matter and with progressives in local offices and party leadership positions, we’ll have the kind of support needed to win more primaries- like we had here in Washington, where Bernie had support from local party members, etc. along with around 75% of voters. California and New York, will likely still pose significant hurdles. But, it’s not going to happen at all if we don’t try. One year is not enough time to take over a party. But, just look what we’ve already accomplished- that’s why they’re trying so hard to push us out. NOT going anywhere.
My thinking is similar to yours, but I have another thought to add. We’ve got Our Revolution, Brand New Congress, Justice Democrats, etc that are all progressive in nature. I think early next year their representatives should convene and decide on backing each other’s candidates and find ways of networking together. Young Turks, through their different channels, could give voice to as many of the candidates as they can. I know Uphill Media is giving almost any progressive candidate a voice on their channel. Jimmy Dore has given a few a voice on his channel. We should try to get as much internet attention through YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc as possible for our candidates, because the MSM will not give them any time on air (because of the DNC). The National Nurses puts on The People Summit, so maybe next year they can have panels with a lot of the national progressive candidates. There’s lots of opportunities, albeit smaller ones than MSM, but if we all rally together, get excited (I’m excited thinking about it!), financially support them, we just might AMAZE ourselves at how well we do in 2018 and beyond!
You said that the DNC is going to stay with their old playbook and run their corporate candidates, and I agree. Fantastic! That means we have a wonderful opportunity to primary them with progressive ones. Bernie doing rallies in red states is not by accident; it is by design. Bernie won all the counties of WV in the primary, and when he had a town hall there with Trump voters earlier in the year, he got a standing ovation by the end of the program. Bernie is showing that populist progressives can win anywhere in the country. Don’t believe the red state-blue state bullshit. So if our populist candidate can knock out the DNC-approved corporate shill, then we got a lot better shot of winning against the Republicans. [an example is populist progressive Randy Bryce (Ironstache) in WI. I give him at least a 60% chance of taking Speaker Ryan out.]
Our progressive ideas are America. They are deeply held. They are fair play, equal access, inclusive. We are all in this together. None of this “survival of the fittest”, Ayn Rand, greedy, un-Christ-like bullshit. We are in this together…like the Musketeers say, “All for One; One for All!” E pluribus unum.
Yes, there’s some cross-endorsing going on, but we need to get these people more exposure. TYT would be great if they’d do it. I keep hearing rumors Cenk or Anna may be running against Feinstein, but we’ll see. Two things: Randy is backed and has worked for a long time for an oil pipeline, has taken big money from the wrong people and is less progressive than he pretends. The real progressive running in that race is a woman who’s been virtually ignored. She’s a union organizer, teacher, totally grassroots, and successfully won a couple of local campaigns, unlike Randy who has lost a couple of times. Progressive Army has written a few articles on him and endorsed/interviewed Cathy Myers (not the same Cathy Myers, this is the woman running against Randy/Paul Ryan). There is a great woman I remember from Bernie’s townhalls-both before the primary and after, in West, Virginia who is running against Joe Manchin-the republican who runs as a Democrat and votes with Trump more than he does Dems. She needs more help for sure. But, yes, I’ve been looking into all the candidates and I think you’re right we need to do some coalition-building between these groups and get the info and organizing out there to help them. I will certainly do what I can, but I don’t have access to a wide enough group of people. My 3500 “friends” on Facebook are not going to cut it. If you know of anyone trying to put these efforts together in some way, let me know.I will be more than happy to get involved. Also, there’s a new party that’s formed here in Washington that grew out of Bernie supporters and they’re running at least one progressive candidate here for a state congressional seat. I’m a little wary of this group just because they have Bernie’s entire platform. except they left out women, and won’t (so far) take a stand on abortion, which is a much bigger issue than whether someone supports the right to chose, it is a civil rights issue and a tool to oppress women and control our choices, not just over abortion, but the repercussions putting restrictions on our choices cause, including economically. Anyway, I see this as a belief issue, much like belief in a religion or no religion, and as such should be separate, as we separate church and state (or should)> I sent an inquiry about this to them and have not yet heard back. Regardless, this candidate running, and likely others here in Washington, will probably be solid progressives we should support as well.
Omigod, the redo of the Fallon segment is THE BEST!! LOVE IT!
Jimmy – it is NOT the ‘petrodollar’, although it IS greed, of course. The petrodollar is NOT a big concern, listen to the professors of economics like Stephanie Kelton, Randall Wray, etc.
They break through the lies that the greedy money addicts have used to dupe us – our country’s debt is NOT a debt, it is our ‘national savings account’! And the deficit is NOT a problem and should be LARGER in bad times. And our taxes do NOT fund our federal govt AT ALL, it issues money with almost no constraints – and our pathologically greedy have ensured that THEY GET IT for decades.
Privatized systems are the main way -and defense is privatized, by the way, the manufacturers of weapons and bombs and vehicles, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yofpo88ipmo
I’m with Stef-going to Chipotle!
The Fallon skit was great.
This could become a Jimmy thing.
I want Jimmy Dore interviewing politicians on ALL the talk shows speaking the truth.
Just replace all the hosts with Jimmy.
Morning Joe, Rachel Madow, Bill Mayer etc. Heck, even on the couch on Fox morning shows.
Yes! This was the funniest sketch I’ve seen in a long time. I literally am dieing in laughter right now. Please do this again if possible Jimmy, this was awesome.
Just watched your show and I have a point on opioid -this is first targeted victims that included WHITE PEOPLE. That’s something that can puncher many people’s bubble about there misleading Democratic leaders. Needs to be said over and over!
Hi Maylee,
In California absentee ballots are mailed along with the election materials everyone receives to qualified folks. If I remember correctly, I can mail in my absentee ballot starting about a month before the election. I can also designate a representative to drop my ballot off at the polling station on Election Day. Since I’ve voted by mail for years, I don’t remember our polling hours.
It would be fabulous if voting was standardized nationwide. I think Australia has the right idea, making not voting illegal and making it possible for 100% of the electorate to vote.
Cmon, Cmon, Cmon, Cmon, Cmon, ….this show was AMAZING!!
I have some questions about the voting in America that I hope someone can answer.
Do you not have pre-voting? As in a couple of other days before election day so that people can vote even if they’re not around on the day itself?
Do you have voting at hospitals, elder centers and other institutions so that the people that can’t leave can still vote?
How long can you vote on election day?
There is no pre-voting per se, but you can request an ‘absentee ballot’, fill it out and return it. You must find the time to get the ballet; as there are no polling locations where you can just vote like you would do, if you were to vote on the actual day of elections. Unfortunately, in America, voting is not 100% standardized. Except for national elections like for President, US Senate, etc, voting days can vary from one state to another. I’ve lived in 5 different states, and each one has been somewhat different. Some states use electronic ballets (but the nature of the electronic ballet may vary from one state to the next.) National elections are always on weekdays, so if you work, you may need to take time off. Election day should be a national holiday, but that is never going to happen in the USA, because Mr. Businessman would then have to pay his employees more. As far as I know you must go to the polling location if you want to vote, although someone in a nursing home or hospital could probably vote by absentee ballot, if they want to go through that hassle. Voting times vary from state to state.
In Illinois the answer to all your questions is yes. . . with the exception of maybe hospitals? . . but there are mail in, or absentee ballots that you can use in those situations. BUT it’s on a state by state basis. Some states have different rules and laws, and more often than not if you’re in the south the answer to all those questions is no. . . As for hours of voting that is on a state by state basis as well. I believe in Illinois polling stations open at 6 am and close at 8pm. . . but again that is not a nationwide rule.
Wow, I stand corrected and am amazed. So, in Illinois you can go to your polling station ahead of the national election day and vote just as if it were election day?
Yeah they have certain locations that are open for early voting. Sometimes its the same place you would go vote day of, but sometimes it’s different, but they’re easy to look up on the internet, or by calling your county election commission. I vote early almost every election. It’s a lot easier.
Thank you both for your replies. I’m very interested in American politics, but sometimes it’s hard to wrap my mind around the differences, especially since the states have different rules. In my country, the goal is to get people to vote. The more people voting, the better, so making it easy to vote is important for all of the political parties.
In America, the voting processes are controlled by crooked politicians, their corrupt political parties, and greedy corporate entities that can make greater profits by rigging the election systems. Here in the south, we see polling locations being reduced and closed early in the poorer communities, while they are expanded and open in the wealthy parts of town. The Secretary of State uses their office to distribute lists of names to be erroneously removed from the voter rolls. Convicted felons that have served their sentences and are released from prison, are not allowed their constitutional rights to participate in the electoral process. The electoral college, super delegates, gerrymandered districts and flawed electronic voting machines are all designed to suppress a free and accurate voting system that would allow for a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
great show as always, loved the jimmy overlay. also super agree with the miserable liberal.. consumers need to go to chipotle
Jimmy Fallon should have his comedy license revoked!
That Hillary shit was goddamned DISGUSTING!
Quit trying to rehabilitate that fraud.
They can’t over that “Woman President” bullshit.
Pick a better woman. Hillary wasn’t worthy of becoming the 1st Female President.
DAMMIT Jimmy Fallon! What those million-dollar paychecks won’t do!
The equation goes like this:
Jimmy Dore > Jimmy Fallon.
Greater THAN.
John Lucas
John Lucas, as I am sure with most TYTers I often end up in a maze of youtube views (the Humanist report, Jordan, Nomiki and Emma etc)…anyway, when the Jimmy Fallon/ Hilary Clinton “Thank-you cunnilingus contest” showed up in my feed, I almost vomited! I couldn’t watch. It was only on this weeks A.P. that I caught a snippet of that GAG FEST and was mercifully and quickly redeemed (and my digestive system restored) when I watched Jimmy’s version….GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! Anyway, back to you: I AGREE with your comment, that, that corpulent corporatist cunt didn’t deserve to be our first woman president! Peace my friend, and I will leave you with one word: NINA!
@marazona Took the words right out of my mouth, marazona.
NINA Turner is a PERFECT candidate for 1st Female President.
They talk about experience but nobody thinks about the fact that no one can have experience as a President UNTIL THEY ARE a President.
Everybody who applies for the job is unexperienced by default.
What I’m looking for is CONVICTION & HONESTY.
Someone with a MORAL center who is committed to doing what is RIGHT.
Everything else can be learned on the job.
Jimmy Fallon should be ashamed of himself for that regurgitation.
Vomit is right. Hillary is no hero & I’m so glad we dodged that bullet.
That Orwellian control she has over the media would make it SO much worse than Trump’s stupidity.
She would force media outlets to maintain her bubble & that would make it so much harder to pop.
Trump, on the other hand, pops EVERYBODY’s bubbles & forces them to get off their asses.
I maintained this stance for the grand majority of the election & I maintain it today:
Hillary Clinton was the Greater Evil not Donald Trump.
I didn’t vote for EITHER Evil. I voted for Dr. Jill Stein, the Greater Good.
But it’s better that Hillary didn’t win that election even if we have to suffer that orange buffoon.
Mainstrream TV COULDN’T HANDLE The Tonight Show being hosted by Jimmy Dore!
He would drop too much truth on them & the audience couldn’t comfortably go to sleep afterwards.
The REAL American Dream is when you put Americans to SLEEP.
John Lucas
John, I hear you and thanks for the reply. I was a bit mortified by my vulgarity and lamented the permanency of a TYT post. The stranglehold, the Clinton’s have, with the “media” is so laughably obvious ( I find it entertaining to imagine the: “my daughter, my sister” slap scene in Chinatown…but instead the bumbling interviewer turns to Mrs Clinton and says: and now a word from YOUR donors uh, I mean OUR sponsors)! I too voted for Jill and love Jimmy’s YOUR WELCOME reply to those who hold us responsible for the election. Glad to hear you’re a Nina fan, her eloquence, integrity and empathy are a vital voice for change!
@marazona No need to apologize for the raw words. Hillary is SUPPOSED to make you cuss! Hahaha!
You said it just right. Hillary Clinton is an abomination & an embarrassment for those who fight for women’s rights.
Other women built their legacies with their own 2 hands.
Hillary rode her husband’s coattails. What would she REALLY be without Bill Clinton?
Plenty of worthy women out there. Don’t pin all hopes of a Female President on a louse like Hillary.
Doctor Jill Stein, an actual medical doctor who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University, was someone worthy to vote for because she has that Moral Center I mentioned AS WELL AS specified knowledge on topics like the health care system working 25 years as a practicing doctor.
I watched her last year on Fox News when they tried to trip her up on Obamacare & I figured she would shut down their phony arguments.
But GODDAMN she went way further than I expected with such a strong command & delivery of the facts.
The Obamacare thing was actually a STRENGTH for her, I’d say even more than it was for Bernie.
She was DEFINITELY qualified on domestic policy & I liked her stance in foreign policy too.
If the voting game wasn’t such an irrational popularity contest, she would have gotten more standing.
In general, people are only peripherally voting on the issues.
More often than not, people vote for the image & their perception of the person.
But Jill is a woman worth backing for President instead of Hillary Rodham.
You don’t even know who her husband IS, that’s how much she stands on her own 2 feet.
Nina ALSO has much of the knowledge Jill has BUT ALSO is 10 stars out of 5 when it comes to Oratory!!
MAN!! Nina makes your SOUL shake when she starts speaking. Heart-Soul Agreement INDEED!
The Moral Center is what I’m looking for from any candidate first & foremost.
The ability to have compassion & empathy & the resolve to fight corruption.
Wishbone, Jawbone, Backbone. WHEW! That girl can GO, boy! DAMN!! She can GO!
The Establishment is scared of these voices taking over the Mainstream.
Once they do, those ideas & policies get locked in, get BAKED into the social order.
They still can’t get rid of Social Security & Medicare YET! Even though they’re trying hard everyday.
But Bernie’s Plan is working as much as some people lose faith.
I lost faith in him last year with the Hillary endorsement but I learned the method to his madness by the end of last year & the start of this year.
Nina Turner is now THE PRESIDENT of Our Revolution, an extension of the Bernie Sanders campaign.
After Bernie becomes the President who is the most likely to be his successor?
He’s getting us ready as we practice saying Nina Turner: President, Nina Turner: President.
The People’s Summit & things like Our Revolution, Brand New Congress is Bernie building his infrastructure.
He always said Not Me…Us. He’s building a team that will lock this mission down for decades to come.
Jimmy Dore won’t need a Tonight Show to get his message out once Bernie’s Plan comes to fruition.
We’ll go to The Jimmy Dore Show & Aggressive Progressives to get the skinny on what’s going on in the world.
And we DAMN sure know that Jimmy Dore won’t be a kissass like Fallon.
John Lucas
Oh John, from your lips to Gods ears :) If Mrs Clinton had any desire to rehabilitate her image (after her embarrassing loss), she had a litany of issues to champion i.e. voter suppression…the most obvious. Instead, she goes on this cringe worthy narcissistic book tour: where everyone LOOKS BAD: the sycophant hosts, a jarring contrast to the “EMPRESS” in her naked greed! Much is made of our bumbling POTUS, but I feel I am witness to a social revolution that would have been hindered and suppressed by the Clinton machine. Trump has lifted the lid on racism, sexism and greed in a way that that clutch-your-pearls phony in her $12K custom pants suits could NEVER pull off. I have many “I’AM WITH HER” friends and their obvious gut punch,(after the election) is sad and a real test of my empathy gene. The one statement that sticks with me about Bernie: when an interviewer referred to him as THE progressive leader, he quickly replied: that we have many leaders and we need more….Damn John, I hope he is playing a long game with the Dems and ditches them to run 3rd party in 2020 with NINA as his VP…now, thats my prayer:)
@marazona Boy, TYT needs a private message system so members can talk with each other in extended conversation. Baby steps, baby steps.
You just outlined Jimmy Dore’s premise on Hillary vs. Trump.
The Ugly Face on American Policy is open & naked for all to see.
And the natural disgust fuels The Revolution.
NONE of this would be happening if that arrogant Hillary got in office.
WE. DODGED. A. BULLET! Caught another one but we’ll recover from this shot.
Might not have recovered from the Hillary shot.
The pantsuit queen would have too many blinded by her pearls & jewels.
And the damage she would have caused would be more critical & fatal to the country & the world.
I kept saying to everyone around me:
Trump MIGHT start World War III. Hillary WILL start World War III.
With her it was a 100% GUARANTEE & Wikileaks proved it.
We would be in Iran RIGHT NOW if she was in office.
As for Bernie, I don’t exactly how he’s gonna play this. But I’m gonna trust his judgment.
He hasn’t been all of these Democratic & Republican clods for so long not to know how they operate.
It’s why I forgave him for backing Hillary once I saw his actions in the aftermath of the election.
As well as the effect of those actions. His campaign wasn’t a one-shot deal & I can see that now.
Bernie is WAY TOO POPULAR for them to control.
He’s actually WEAKER by being under the Democratic banner even though he STILL dominates everybody else by a country mile. It’s WORSE for them if he runs a new 3rd party coalition.
The trick he seems to be pulling off is using his popularity as leverage over the Democrats as he threatens the possibility of a 3rd party run.
He seems to be signaling to them: “See all that money you lost? See all those races you’re still losing? See how the candidates my team backs keep winning? See how hostile so much of your base is to its leadership? See how beloved I am to your base? See how I get the ratings on CNN? See how I use these things to promote my message & get more popular? See how your polls show all your wannabe 2020 contenders pale in comparison to me? See how even Obama has little to no sway in U.K. politics? See how his Brexit fearmongering backfired? See how my counterpart Jeremy Corbyn is rising to power at the same time I am? See how this freezes Obama in trying to go after me directly? See how you have no other figures outside of Obama that can challenge me in public effectively? See how I continue to win over demographics even Trump-leaning ones? See how I’m STILL popular with the young AKA the future? See how scared your wannabes were when I pushed Medicare For All? See how Hillary’s (book tour) PR campaign backfired? See how she’s STILL lower in the polls than crazy Trump? See how Trump is too scared to even mention my name? See how the Republicans fear attacking me worried that it might make me MORE popular? See how I have changed this country with one single campaign?”
He seems to be saying: “With all this, do you REALLY want to challenge me & this movement of the future? As soon as I say the word, I take the majority of your base WITH me, combine that with an energized majority of Independents, AND EVEN pull a few Libertarians & Republicans over who are all thirsty to break up the TWO PARTY SYSTEM. The Revolution wins no matter what. It’s your choice WHERE it wins.”
That’s what I’m picking up from his strategy.
That’s why he’s still messing around with those Democrat cronies.
He’s really a political master. All you have to do is check his Electoral History.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_history_of_Bernie_Sanders
In the 1970s when he ran under the Liberty Union Party he co-founded, he was learning the political game.
He lost every election in this period only getting fringe percentages of votes.
He left the party in 1977 because of weak organization but he learned a LOT about party politics in those Senatorial & Gubernatorial races.
So next time around he aimed his sights a little lower for Local office instead of State office & ran for Mayor in Burlington, Vermont in 1980.
Bernie ran a populist positive campaign with a focus on organic support from the people instead of the Establishment. And he ran it without allegiance to an established party making him the outsider upstart.
And he SHOCKED the town when he won the race by just 10 votes.
After THAT win, you start to see Bernie’s method as a politician.
Bernie’s greatest trouble is getting in…but once he close, he WILL NOT lose the next time.
And once he gets in, you can NEVER get him out. He takes over the scene ENTIRELY.
His actions in office win over his constituents. Wins them over so well that even those who disagree with his ideology respect him as a person. They support him purely on his integrity.
That’s the key factor of why it’s so hard to dislodge him once he gets in & why he overpowers the political scene.
He wins every single Mayor’s race from then on.
He runs for Vermont Governor in 1986 but loses because most of the state simply doesn’t know him.
He COULD have tried again I think he thought he would be MORE effective in a Congressional role.
So he runs for the House of Representative in 1988 & damn near wins.
Edged out by the Republican & voter base chopped by the 3rd place Democrat.
This is where you see him get close but come short (37.5% to 41.2%). The next time in 1990, he wins.
After this he never loses an election again until the 2016 cheat at the Democratic Presidential Primaries.
►He runs again in 1990 & kills it. 56% of the vote.
►He runs again in 1992 & kills it even harder. 57.78% of the vote.
►He runs again in 1994 & is written in on the Democratic Primary winning both ways.
Fighting a strong Republican challenger too. Dems don’t even run a candidate. 49.8% of the vote.
►He runs again in 1996 & is fighting off a kitchen’s sink of candidates.
Written in on the Democratic Primary & whipping the asses of every single challenger. 55.2% of the vote.
►He runs again in 1998 & murders it! Written in on Democratic Primary winning both ways AGAIN.
Dems give up & don’t even bother running a candidate. 63.4% of the vote.
►He runs again in 2000 & ANNIHILATES it!
Written in on not only the Democratic Primary BUT ALSO the Republican Primary!
Utter humiliation of all contenders. 69.2% of the vote.
►He runs again in 2002 & it’s ANOTHER slaughter!
Written in on the Democratic Primary this time WITH NO OTHER OPPONENTS winning both ways AGAIN!
Hapless Republican challenger at least got half of his vote this time. 64.2% of the vote.
►He runs one last time in 2004 for the House & it’s a slaughter SEQUEL!
Written in on the Democratic Primary & this new Progressive Primary just crushing the vote.
67.4% of the vote.
Then he moves to the upper side of the Congress & starts running for U.S. Senate.
This is when he employs the Democratic Party in aiding his campaign to begin deepening his leverage with them as he gathers power.
This is the campaign you see then-Senator Barack Obama stumping for him.
►He runs in 2006 & he MAULS them!
Written in once more on the Democratic Primary (with a 94.16% margin!) winning both ways AGAIN!!
Declines the Democratic Nomination & takes power as an Independent. 65.4% of the vote.
►He runs in 2012 & it’s OBSCENE!! BLOODBATH!!!
Runs straight Independent. Gets his highest margin ever. 71.1% of the vote.
So when he entered the national stage for 2016, it shouldn’t have been a shock that Bernie gained that much traction. And judging by past history, you know the next time he can’t be stopped.
Just like with that 1986 Vermont Governor race, people just didn’t know enough about him in time.
But now they know him on the national scene. The Democrats’ rigging can’t stop him anymore.
They don’t want to keep him close because he’ll take over the party.
They don’t want him to start a new coalition because he’ll END the party.
They want to contain him but can’t figure out how.
Bernie melts the party apparatus once he gets entrenched.
The Democratic AND Republican parties in the regions he represented got UTTERLY WRECKED while he was in office. They couldn’t even put up semi-viable candidates to oppose him.
That’s exactly what he seems to be doing right now on the national scene.
It’s easy to think Bernie is being used by the Democrats but in truth the Democrats are being used by HIM.
He entrenching himself to destroy the party machines & open up access to the Progressive Movements.
When he’s sure his plan is locked in, he’ll make his move. That’s what I’m seeing from him.
And guess where he’s focusing as part of this plan? Mayor races.
Just like how HE got started. Bernie knows EXACTLY what he’s doing with these parties.
All we have to do is continue our Inside & Outside strategies to put the pressure on these party machines to break them. Everybody has a part to play but in the end, WE TAKE OVER.
Bernie/Nina 2020 is the Dream. We’ll make it a Reality.

RE: Thank you segment
One word: Boom!
That was the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. Wow.
-Celan
Especially the part when Hillary gets all excited! That was great…lol
Wow! Whoever does the graphics and visuals for TYT, you gotta give them a raise just for that Jimmy Fallon parody. Good job!
The Democratic Party is fin. Donna Brazil? GTFO Now! I’m on a permanent fuck Obama diet, purely for affect. MSNBC and CNN are so affective at spreading lies and covering up for corrupt politicians, who would miss them…(those who will) When tyt fully commits, they will adorn t shirts with msnbc and or cnn crossed out like poisonous chemicals. Sad to say, but our greatest ally is that which will assist in removing this tripe; people you don’t readily agree with, but who share common goals. Time to grow up.
I agree, I’m stoked about the unusual speed with which this AP became available on demand. I tried to watch it live, but kept getting errors from Google. At least I didn’t have to wait 24 hours to watch it on demand like usual. Please keep up the speed!
AP makes Thursday my favorite day of the week.
Please bring your live show to San Francisco!
The Jimmy Fallon skit was epic!
Caucuses are worse for voters than primaries in my opinion because as a disabled Californian I can mail in my vote (some states allow all voters to mail in their votes). I could not attend and participate in a caucus. There are many other groups who are de facto excluded from caucusing, making it such a poor choice (assuming you want the most voices to be heard) that I don’t think caucuses should exist. Surely there is another way to increase political participation and discussion.
Thanks for uploading this so fast, guys! Seriously, like the others, I appreciate being able to log on to the site to see the latest and greatest in AP instead of waiting for days…
Keep up the good work. Thanks for shining a light on the fast-food industry and minimum wage workers. It’s far too easy to kick the poorest of our society down for having nothing — this is literally the effect of demonizing the poor in this country and it’s stunning to see how institutionalized this type of thinking has become with the Chipotle example. I think it’s awful and it was something I had no idea about before you aired it. I can now see the connection with the way big business runs its business as dictated by analysts at some bank.
There is a news story that’s come up that also needs a light shined upon itL ageism. Check this out:

This, too, is the dark underbelly of working in America but this time at Silicon Valley. What’s happening there, really, can be found nationwide, in all industries, and has gotten worse since the Great Recession. Please look into this. Once again, keep up the good work on AP and the Jimmy Dore Show. Later!
That “thank you” segment was one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen.
Please make it public so we can share it about!
Also the Democrats are a lot more corrupt than Republicans in my opinion.
Republicans are a lot more open about whose c*** they’re sucking, whereas the Dems are more insidious and secretive about their dodgy dealings.
The idea of having to register in 2017 so you can vote in the primaries in 2018 is bulls***.
The reason I’ve always given to not being a Republican, Democrat, Labour or Conservative has been “I don’t like to give an answer before I’ve heard the question”.
This is a prime example of the Dems wanting you to choose them before they’ve told you their stance.
Jimmy, you should get Malcom back on here sometime soon, I miss him being on AP. I love this show, but I already subscribe to the Jimmy Dore Show, so when its you, Stef, and Ron and you mostly talk about the same things, it’d be nice to at least have a fresh perspective. Still, love all you guys, keep being Aggressive!
Malcolm should be the de facto Steve IMO, though I love them ALL :)
Thank you Jimmy Dore
for exposing the real issues why Hillary lost the election
now if only chipotle could figure out a way to make all of their food stop tasting like cardboard. d-:
Your take-off on Jimmy Fallon’s salute to Hillary was epic. Hope this will be put on YouTube so we can make it viral!
I work most Thursday nights, and Aggressive Progressives is my favorite TYT show (much love to all, don’t get me wrong.) So to be able to watch it right when I get home around midnight EST I have to give huge props to you guys. Your diligence with all the uploads is super appreciated Gigi (and crew.) Keep up the awesome work! Too strong!
Fastest AP upload ever!
