  1. Hassan is awesome, i love when he hosts, he is so damn intelligent its undeniable. The only thing I dont like about him is that he constantly feeds troll Tomi whats her face.

  2. Love you Cenk and Ana! Can’t get enough of you two :]
Progressive media and movements are the way-
keep bringing the genuine laughs and stories and maybe someday we can achieve nonviolence across all people and ideas.

  3. Gay viewer here… that Bitter Queen story is fucking hilarious, hahaha. I was smiling ear to ear the whole time. Love Ana’s weird home anecdotes. I question if it’s morally right to share the video of the fight, but I do hell of want to see it, and I do hope “You’re just a bitter queen~!” ends up on the soundboard.

  4. My advice on Oregon court’s decision to debark dogs:

Oregon Judge and Couple SUING A FARM FOR BARKING DOGS!!!! r WRONG!!!! They have Dogs to Bark at Cougars from the WILD!!!!! The answer is LIVE WITH IT!!!!!! Rural Areas SHOULD NOT be TREATED like Urban Areas!!!!

  5. Putting up My Hand for those Who can’t speak. It’s cruel. Full stop.
If a Farm can’t have barking Dogs, what is wrong with the World?
I’ve met many Bitter Queens. I hope I catch the film of it. Ana You are weird videoing outside Your House with something not related to You. But You are just reporting the news….. That’s going to get back to those two. How does that make You feel?
I think You guys are lovely People but live in the Dark Ages about topics such as Mental Wellness. You may not notice but Ana will often slag off at “crazy” “insane” “seizures” – I’m sorry, but We hear Your problems everyday and You do admit to seeing a therapist. Which includes You as a statistic….. Here it’s 1 in 4 People will suffer Mental Unwellness. It’s a Life long thing to keep Yourself in balance, not just “I had a nervous breakdown” (not quoting You). It means that extra long sleep does make You feel better – surprise! And the more things One does for Oneself instead of against The Self, We will feel better.
You know what They say about the Type A Hetero Male who slags off gays because He has some needs there? Freud would say You do the same in Your ownership of Mental Health words as a bad thing.
I think it is non pc to be punching down these days! Yasssssss!
But keep up the discussion. It’s not over until the fat Lady sings, and I’m only warming up!

  6. ANNA!!! Keep on fighting for our fur babies!!! Anna is amazing.. love you, girl! Second thing, God fucking bless Cenk for saying there can be ‘bad human owners’ with their kids. I TOTALLY agree with this but I honestly came here to point out that even when I loathe Cenk’s opinion (always about animals) at least he is more reasonable than Hassan who takes himself so fucking seriously. Can’t stand it when I click on a video and it turns out to be narcissistic Hassan who legit looks like he is watching himself in a video monitor during every broadcast. At least with Cenk, you get humility (even if he declares he doesn’t have humility) and you get good natured/ness and jokes and if you talk about dogs, other than this episode, you can expect an ‘animals . . ‘ omg I was legit still typing this status as he ended the post game with ‘Animals Are Innocent’!!! Way to prove my point! Cenk or Anna for president, seriously!

  7. looolll cenk annoying ana had me cracking up so much. i was trying to figure out if he means any of it or if he was just trying to wind ana up looooolllllllllll. either way it’s too funny & i love it!!!! :)

cenk makes watching news bearable with his insanely off-the-charts comedic talents :)

        1. Yes the “Dog Whisperer”. I love Cenk but I don’t think he’s funny. Cesar is slightly funny. Cenk should watch Cesar as inspiration before he goes on a panel with another centrist.

  8. yo Cenk, why you gonna call it Bum FK reseda bruh? I went to Reseda Magnet High School in 1996 for one semester my freshmen year of high school and got my 1st girlfriend who was a cheerleader, fond memories and you destroyed it! Btw awesome post game!

  9. Man, can i just say how much I love the post game show. More Often than not, you guys have me laughing.
    This was a good one.

Ana, I died when you told that story about the “bitter queen”. Please please please share that video. I can hardly wait.

  10. I’m not certain whether the old woman in the robe was the one with the broom knocking on the ceiling or if she was the one Cenk was having sex with… I love ambiguity.

  11. Ana— can’t blame the neighbors for being whiny and needing to move to Detroit to get away from the sound. THEY NEAR A FARM, ANA, Not west L.A.

  12. Cenk was absolutely hilarious in this post-game, I miss his playfully provocative attitude. “Dog owners believe they’re people… No, it’s okay, I’ve reasoned with him” hahahaha

    1. looolll that part had me cracking up as well. i was trying to figure out if he means any of it or if he was just trying to wind ana up looooolllllllllll. either way it’s too funny & i love it!!!! :)

cenk makes watching news bearable with his insanely off the charts comedic talents :)

  13. “Dogs are barking, blah, blah….20 years, blah, blah, blah. human voices are more important, we don’t know if dogs know, blah, blah, blah, … Sleep (for Ana) is the best drug, blah, blah, blah, morals, blah, blah, blah …. Go live in Michigan, blah, blah, blah, … Judge says debark, blah, blah, blah…, let me project personal bias that all gun owners can’t control themselves, and feign surprise that violence hasn’t broken out, blah, blah, blah…, West Hollywood, what am I gonna do wid dis guy, blah, blah, blah, … rookie, good dogs and bad dogs, blah…, Ok; I’ll move, blah, one of a million epic fights, I put the HOA in its place, blah, Older gay guy has secret crush on younger gay guy (while also having a crush on Ana, like all sane men & some women) and coins term ‘Bitter Queen’, blah…, barking prompts eventual move, but stabbing prompts immediate move, blah, …debark at will, but don’t let Ana know, see you tomorrow.”

Ana’s getting enough sleep. That’s all I need to hear. That’s the highlight of tonight’s Post Game. Let’s try and make that a more frequent occurrence, boss; please.

    1. While also having a crush on Ana? Where did that come from? Also, and I might be acting the snowflake here, but saying the older gay guy has a crush on the younger one is insulting. Why does he have a crush on the younger one? Because he’s gay?

      1. 1. Ana – I just enjoy complimenting my favorite news commentator.

        2. The guy seemed over-focused on the other guy, and I’m speculating (jokingly) as it being some kind of love-hate relationship, or a secret crush. It has nothing to do with them being gay, but in this case they happen to be.

        3. I’m sorry you’re over-sensitive about this. Don’t let it get to you.

  14. I have this dog that starts to bark really loud at like, 5 am, outside the house across from our apartment building. With open windows in the summer it feels he’s barking downstairs from my window for me to get up. Man, when he wakes me up and doesn’t let me fall asleep on my day off I lay down and have fantasies about poisoning him..Of course I will never do that but some pissed off guy can certainly shoot some annoying dog. people have been shot for less.

    1. There’s at least a dozen dogs on my block, when one starts barking, the chorus ensues, and its glorious… safest block in the neighborhood! but to the dog owners that don’t abide by the leash laws, who say “don’t worry my dog is friendly” yea that’s nice, but how do you know my dog is friendly?

  15. I can solve this easily. Who was there first? The owners of the farm with the barking farm dogs? Or the crazy people who want the dogs silenced? The one who was there first can stay. The other family should move. Asking the owners of a farm to silence that which protects their livestock is insane. It’s like someone moving in next to me knowing I have horses because they think it’s “quaint” to see the pretty ponies out of their window. Come summertime they’re bitching about manure and flies. Then they want to get the county to re-zone the area to force me to move off land that’s been in my family for over a hundred years. Sorry. If you want to live in the country so you can be a part of “nature,” then deal with the realities of living in the country. Dogs out here usually have more than one job, and not one of them is being a lap dog to whiney little bitches.

  16. My neighbours behind me (we share a fence) has one of their dogs debarked. Someone complained, before we moved in, so they debarked the dog. I have a feeling it was the people who lived here before us, as they had an infant. The thing is, it doesn’t take away their bark, it just changes the tone of it. So now instead of a big lab/doberman bark, the poor mutt sounds like a shih tzu. Squeaky high yip, instead of a bark. Which I personally think is way worse.

I’m thankful my boy doesn’t bark much. He’s only 8 months old, a working line german shepherd. And he barks if someone comes to the gate, or he thinks someone is at the door. Or when he’s trying to get another dog to play with him. But that’s it! He’ll go weeks without barking, which is a perfect starting point for me! I haven’t even begun trying to train him not to bark, but it’s definitely possible, I’ve just been focused on other things in his basic training first. He’s training to be a service dog for my disability, so he needs to be calm and quiet most of the time, and he is, except for still being a puppy, technically. But once he’s matured, and fully trained in another year to two, he’s going to be amazing. Perhaps I’ll have trained him to never bark at all by then, since he’s not much of a barker to begin with.

  17. Wait, the dog owners have a farm? Farms are pretty big. I live in a rural area as well and you can easily ignore barking dogs in a farm/country environment, even in the dead of night with a window open.

I’d rather have barking dogs than the alternative: raccoons, skunks, and other varmints that can carry rabies (which is still really, really bad and the treatment sucks from what I’ve seen), mountain lions (the creepy thing is if they roam down from the mountains they always eventually end up at the elementary school here), etc.

  18. euthanasia!!?? surgery!!?? NO!! Ana, you stay true to your thoughts on this-you are totally right.
    vet writing here…

uuuuummmm, training and bark collars work GREAT!!
    *Electric collars*… NOT citronella collars…
they really work well when used right–which is easy. just keep them on the dog, and charged. usually takes only a couple times..

and, Cenk is WRONG–dogs can *easily* be trained not to bark!
Cenk, this is one RARE place where you are ‘mansplaining’–talking BS about something you know NOTHING about!
Jayar is right, many humans can’t train. (but dogs learn terrifically well!) so for those who can’t train easily/well, electronic bark collars work great!

there is NO need to do something as entirely devastating as debarking surgery… that is a definition of actual abuse. i’m astounded by the Oregon court’s decision on this–no matter how ‘bad’ these people are!!
could they not have required training classes with great trainers who have proven experience with this issue, and with electronic bark collars? come on, it’s not hard! it’s simple!
why do we feel we have to destroy Nature in order to ”fix” it? Working WITH Nature is always better–in this case, it’s training dogs with good teaching and real consequences. easy fix. no need to destroy a dog’s throat and voice.

and don’t whine about ‘cruelty’ with e-collars. what would you rather have, a small shock–which it is– or major surgery? –which it is–it’s in a ‘dangerous’ area of the throat, painful, bloody, with lots of nerves, vessels and glands, and the wind pipe, swallowing apparatus and esophagus…nevermind the after effects, which include taking away one of their primary senses, or more! –forever!

guarding sheep: we have them. livestock guardian dogs ONLY bark when lions, coyotes, stray dogs, or bears come around–they do NOT bark all the time. that would reduce their effectiveness against predators. it’s possible to place e-collars on the dogs that aren’t guarding, and simply get *real* livestock guardian dogs, who are quiet, effective, and pretty formidable foes. wildlife knows that.

and, if it’s ok to debark dogs, why not ‘debark’ white nationalists? lobotomize them? is that a solution? no, of course not, much as we dislike and denounce these people…that doesn’t really solve the problem. they will still hate–maybe more than ever. we want them to get re-educated about why ‘the other’ is not scary and mean, or failing that, keep their hate and violence to themselves. they need real limits set and real consequences for their bad actions– and some education… if not, they get trained with an e-collar : a shock for every hate speech they make ;) just like misbehaving dogs :D
    just kidding!!

    1. Thank you. I was wondering why they did not bring up electric collars. Just make sure you have the voltage at an appropriate level for your dog.

  19. This one is super simple. You don’t punish the dogs with a horrific procedure because the owners are assholes. You take the dogs away from the owners, and get them good homes. You ban the assholes from owning dogs. And if they need something to protect their sheep, have them get a guard llama. Llama are nasty when predators are around. And they’re generally not too noisy. Generally. If their Llama suddenly starts being loud and annoying, then clearly the assholes are TRYING to be assholes and then you ban them from owning animals, period. Don’t punish animals because people are dicks. Remember, Animals are Innocent.

    1. I’m with this, I don’t see how mutilating the dogs for human issues is acceptable. They use the same “they’ll be put down” argument for declawing cats. Reality is those cats end up getting put down anyway when they develop litter box issues, joint problems and arthritis that makes them aloof and “unlovable.” Or, you know, you could socialize with your cat and trim it’s claws yourself every month or so & spend $20 on a scratching post.

You’re going to end up on the same road with debarking. Next thing you know we have people filing teeth as a biting precaution or something. Get the dogs trained, by professional trainers who train the humans, too. If they can’t manage to work out something reasonable by the local noise statutes or whathaveyou, then they don’t get to have dogs and they need to find another means of protecting their livestock.

And if we’re going to spread responsibility, the neighbors could take it as a way to increase their property value. Insulated windows, big old hedge wall, some nice sound {and presumably smell}-dampening landscaping and the soothing white noise of a water fountain. Perhaps some predator-deterrents of their own to assist their neighbors in keeping issues away from their shared property line by protecting their own space.

Personally I think if you’re going to encroach on and dominate the wildlife’s territory to breed rare, domesticated, non-native, meat sources, I don’t think you have much of a leg to stand on as far as the idea of “natural” protection & being at harmony with the environment. Great, the sheep are protected, but you’re ok with risking dogs against wild, hungry cougars & the like? That’s someone in love with the concept of “All Natural™️” but detached from the reality of responsible.

The environment includes the neighbors, as well as the wildlife and all the things you introduce to it. I mean if you’re at the point where you’re so set on having this security set up that your neighbors hate you, the courts are throwing up their hands and the dogs are facing mutilation, it might be well past time to consider you might be a little wrong & perhaps there’s better answers, because it looks like everyone but the sheep suffer here.

      1. good points on the neighbor landscaping, etc–this is a rural /farm zoned property after all. and from personal experience, i agree we all have to be responsible for our sides of the issue and do what we can to make our own lives better, irrespective of neighbors’ life choices…

regarding your statement about encroaching on wildlife, putting dogs at risk, and not being”Natural” and responsible, you’ll be happy to know that *pastured* livestock raised with Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGD’s) are a boon to wildlife, humans, livestock and dogs alike.

        consider these facts:

        1) most rural sheep, goat, poultry, and sometimes cattle livestock pastured farms use LGD’s and/or Llamas and Donkeys, depending on the area they live in, and they are *extremely successful* against predators. (Llamas and Donkeys don’t work against large predators, who will eat them as readily as a sheep). by ”extremely successful”, i mean: there are no (or only rare) deaths or injury to ANY parties involved. see below for why.

        2) wildlife predators (lions, puma, wolves, coyotes, bears, fox) all stake out territory for hunting and living/breeding/raising young–whether permanently or temporarily. predators have spats with each other over territory, but don’t often get in fights, as wild predators have a lot to lose if wounded. a wound often means eventual death or the inability to breed and spread their genes that season. so usually territorial spats are mostly handled without a fight–someone growls, takes a dominant pose or a lunge forward, and someone leaves. (this does not include males in rutt/breeding–where the two males of the same species usually fight it out over a female–different issue completely evolutionarily, and not relevant here).

        2) the reason LGD’s work supremely well is based on the above principle, which is fully-aligned-with Nature’s Laws. LGD’s learn where the perimeter of their property is, and they stake out a territory like a wolf or coyote would, and keep it secure by making similar threats and dominant postures, which keeps wild predators respectful *without a fight*. then, it really behooves the humans there to KEEP those same wild predators there, as these guys now know and understand, and will by habit, keep their distance from that territory, and even keep new, uneducated predators away for their own good!
it makes it super easy for everyone involved. if an LGD weren’t there, a wolf or coyote would do the same on that same territory. most livestock people i know (lots) have zero problems with anyone in the system getting hurt once they get LGD’s. the dogs are NOT put in harms way, they are courageous and effective, and peace results throughout. they are really a *wonderful* solution.

LGD’s (Maremmas, Great Pyrenees, Akbash, etc) are bred *specifically* for work and function, not ‘looks’ as so many pet breeds are. they are in no way, shape, or form, a ”pet”, though they are generally friendly to their human owners. they often live outside all year with their animals, help them with young, keeping them safe, alerting humans to a problem and making sure the borders of their territory are secure.

        3) domestic livestock, when pastured/grazed, are *extremely important* to the healthy ecology of the meadows and rangelands of the USA and the World–whether or not they are eaten, milked or sheared by humans.
domestic livestock, when grazed correctly, actually take the the much needed place of the 100’s of MILLIONS of wild livestock/grazers that USED to be all over rangelands and habitable areas of the USA, before they were killed off senselessly by poachers and early Americans wanting to starve out Native Americans.
the important and fascinating point here is that wild grazers (Bison, Antelope, Wild Pigs like Javelinas, Wild Sheep and Goats) evolved WITH the native grasses and plants of meadows and rangelands all over the USA (and the world) for 100’s of millions of years. meaning, the grasses and vegetation of rangelands THRIVE BETTER and multiply better when grazed–whether the grazers are domestic or wild makes very little difference. unhealthy plants and soils improve when grazed appropriately. so your choice would be all wild grazers, which means you would also have ~100 million human hunters in the USA alone, killing wild grazers for food with accompanying bullets everywhere, or, you can have some wildlife and some hunters, along with some appropriately grazed domestic grazers.
either way, without appropriate grazing, these rangelands *suffer*and these areas are a MAJOR contributor to climate change! yup, it’s all connected. rangelands lose water-retaining capacity, carbon retaining capacity, and start to become desert, releasing major amounts of carbon into the air… it’s super sad what has happened to much of the world’s rangelands. their vegetation changes to non-native, extremely flammable grasses and bushes as well as flammable tree types that aren’t native or should be present only in small numbers. major fires and major droughts result. grazers–whether wild or domestic– usually keep all this flammable stuff to a minimum, encourage water-retaining and carbon-filled soils, and fertilize these soils for a future of real abundance in that area. yes, grazers (not factory farms) result in a *net negative carbon release!* and mitigate global warming!
(if you want sources for all of this fascinating grazing stuff, google ”regenerative agriculture”, Allan Savory and the Savory Institute, Holistic Management International, Judy Earl, Geoff Lawton, Greg Judy, Joel Salatin, etc etc..)

        4) the old way of handling wild predation on livestock was (and still is in some places) shooting and killing the predator. what this does is only disrupt wildlife families and successful ecosystems, resulting in death and extinction, and make a place for new predators to come in to fill that empty territory for hunting and breeding.. and predators will come in and again, will kill your ‘easy pickins’ that are grazing without protection, like any wild deer or antelope; except it’s so much easier to kill domestic livestock because they cannot run away easily and don’t have as much fighting spirit as a wild grazer.
it’s MUCH better to work WITH Nature and wild predators, on their terms, not kill them, and have respect and peace maintained based on Nature’s Laws.
wild predators have no shortage of prey currently (there is a shortage of water though): there is an over-population of wild deer everywhere, tons of wild rodents and lagomorphs, as there aren’t enough wolves, fox, pumas and bears anymore – in most areas. they go for farm animals, and domestic dogs and cats, simply because they are easier to kill; less energy expended to get them.
what is encroaching on wild ecosystems aren’t really domestic (pastured, grazed) livestock, who are essential for the maintenance of a healthy wild ecology of rangelands actually, (see above); it is sprawling, paved, cities and human systems that work *against* Nature and a regenerative ecology, that are the problem. (for example, chemical-filled, destructive industrial agriculture and factory farms). there are vast areas of polluted, desertifying, ungrazed land that should be forest and field, that could be holding wildlife, and a beautiful environment instead.

:) what is extremely hopeful and gratifying, is that it has been shown by many courageous researchers, scientists, and ranchers, that is possible for humans to successfully, healthily, live WITH all aspects of Nature and not destroy it, but actually help *regenerate* it. but we do have to respect Nature and *understand* its Laws, AND its Ecology!

’nuff said. sorry for the long post, but your comment necessitated clarification. this is really important stuff that simply isn’t talked about in the mainstream. we are all connected, and a part of Nature for better or worse.

  20. You can train dogs not to bark. Also, if dogs are barking incessantly then there is something deeper wrong. They’re bored or anxious. etc. People are the problem not the dogs. I also don’t trust the owners when they say they train their dogs or have any idea what they’re doing

  21. is ”Bart” the one who DJ’s the regular show too?
    if so, Bart, you rock!!!
ALL of the great little interlude clips are so great and so eclectic–
    thanks for the great work!!

  22. I’m with Cenk and Jayar on this one. Dog owners, and kid parents, for that matter, think their babies are adorable, but they really don’t have a right to inflict bad animal or toddler behavior on others.
