  1. The mortgage thing could kill the renters market because it disincentivizes investing in rentals.

  2. Yeah Yeah sure attack leaks but only when they stop leaking info on your political opponents. It eas fine when it was Hilary but now it’s them and that’s not ok?! …..GTFOH.

  3. Excellent show!

I agree with Steve on all counts:

    1) cap on RE mortgage deduction and doubling it is great.

    2) why aren’t we talking about Wal-Mart anymore? Users have a choice on Amazon. I can even localize my search preferences on Amazon. If you’re going to go after a bad business model go after Wal-Mart.

    3) Democrats messed up on Sessions. They were on the wrong side as usual.

  4. Even though I’ve been critical of Ana, she is still amazing at her job. She contributes to the high integrity of the network and TyT wouldn’t be the same without her.

  5. WTF is wrong with West Virginia? I believe all that mountain top removal has released sequestered gases that drops your IQ by 50 points… and when your IQ is only 80 to begin with, poof!

    1. West Virginian here. If we could just get all the old, set-in-their-ways, racist people to die, I swear we would be normal.

      1. hehe, sorry. I know not everyone is crazy in WV, I have a relative from WV and she is sweet and a progressive. I keep hoping the same for those racists in Cali, but …

  6. Thank you Ana, for pronouncing Mueller’s name correctly. Hope you received your copy of “REBEL: Are You Brave Enough to Join?” I attempted to give it to you personally at Politicon, but you seemed to be in a hurry.

    1. Amen! Jimmy is the man. I love how he shines a light on corporatist warmongers masquerading as progressives.

  7. I can balance the Budget….Just cut the Military in half, or more. Easy Peasy.
BTW, it’s “magnate”, not “magnet”, Steve. Jimmy got it right. You’re welcome.

  8. I’m gonna go ahead and argue with Kasper *dodges the rocks*. This tax loophole is artificially inflating your housing market by giving a yearly insentive to own a home. Eventually, it’s priced in the housing market(jacking up the price by increasing demand) and makes it harder for younger buyers to buy into the market later on. From a canadian point of view, I think you guys should have dropped that thing five years ago.

  9. bm3racer – I don’t see how Anna is racist. Your referring to her ethnic heritage indicates YOU are. That said, Anna and Hanna are my least favorite hosts. It would be nice if TYT would stick to female hosts less grating on the nerves. May I suggest Kim and Ida?

  10. WHERE IS THE FUK CENK? I’M NOT INTERESTED IN LISTENING TO THIS NARCISSISTIC ARMENIAN RACIST SLAG SCREAMING AT ME FOR 2 HOURS STRAIGHT.

    1. go take some more niagin or nad+ or niagra or whatever you call it… seems to be doing you so much good.

    2. Is this a troll who pays $10 a month to troll the TYT members comments? Wow, way to own TYT with your $120/year contribution ;)

  11. I work at Walmart.
They work you 40 hrs a week and still consider you part time. 40 hours…..
but the pay isn’t so bad anymore. They pay higher than any other grocery store in the area.
But there’s no chance your getting full time

  12. STOP saying middle class! Say how many Americans it will affect positively and how many negatively. low class, high class, these are just names. But knowing that 5 million Americans will lost money so that .1% will gain… THAT’S A STORY.

  13. Why does Jimmy seem to be bending over backwards to prove Trump is no worse than any Democratic establishment politician? This is not normal.

    1. It is normal for Jimmy. I think he gets clouded at times and makes a lot stupid statements on his show and on Aggressive Progressive.

    2. Because he is a talking head who knows nothing.

His “analysis” on Recess Appointments and pro-forma sessions is laughable and embarrassing.

      1. Exactly, this is the guy who before the election pronounced that, under a Trump admin, the Republicans forcing a Supreme Court pick through by getting rid of the filibuster was as likely as “the moon falling into Lake Michigan.” As far as I know the moon is still in orbit, but the filibuster was gone and Gorsuch was in his seat by April.

  14. The reason that those Republicans in the audience were cheering is because many of them literally view party politics as a team sport. So many Republicans I know were happy when Trump was elected, because “their team won”. And they were irritated when those on the left were being “sore losers”. They don’t actually expect that this governor’s change of party affiliation will benefit their lives in any practical way.

  15. Jimmy, you don’t know what you are talking about, concerning Amazon and tax collection. There is at least one state that requires residents to pay sales tax that internet companies do not collect. My guess, and I am clearly labeling this as a guess, is there are other states that do this as well. This strategy pushes the responsibility and expense onto the consumer instead of where the responsibility belongs, the retailer. As a result, these taxes could go uncollected do to ignorance, forgetfulness, etc.

Therefore, since I am not a tax accountant, nor do I play one on TV, caveat emptor.

  16. Lowering the mortgage threshold, like removing state taxes, is an attack on coastal states. If you live in states like Hawaii, or California or in metropolitan areas, 1000000 for a mortgage is an upper middle class mortgage. The wealthy pay cash.

  17. Awesome panel, great mix of personalities! Ana is so quirky but does honest journalism and commentary, have mad respect for her.

  18. Has anyone else noticed that since Aggressive Progressives launched, Jimmy has tended to be pretty quiet when he’s on the main show, unless he can work in some of his usual AP talking points. It looks like he comes into the main show unprepared these days, and it wasn’t like that before. Even his jokes are subdued. I hope he’s ok because I understand he’s had health issues. I miss the old power panel Jimmy.

    1. I think the poor guy is just tired. They film AP Thursday night, and he’s probably doing final edits for his podcast and any material he’s doing for his stand-up during the day. So by the time filming for today’s Power Panel comes around, he’s probably exhausted.

  19. I hated this. Absolutely hated it. Whenever it’s Ana and Jimmy at the same time it’s a disaster. Ana rambles on and on and won’t give Jimmy time to speak. That’s the respect Jimmy get for getting TYT an amazing amount of new members via his Aggressive Progressives show. And correct me if I’m wrong, but all the stories were about Trump? Yeah, good luck in 2018 and 2020.
